Abstract

PURPOSE:To achieve high density recording with a simple constitution by incorporating a write circuit in a rotary head part, sending the signal having been so modulated that DC components become zero through a rotary transformer and converting this to NRZ-I type and recording the same. CONSTITUTION:The write signal A is converted to the signal having no DC components by an inversion circuit 2, delay circuit 3 and modulation circuit 1 consisting of an AND gate 4 taking positive AND and AND gate 5 taking negative AND and this signal is supplied to the primary side of a rotary transformer 8. The signal induced in the secondary side of the rotary transformer 8 of the rotary head part is erased of the pulses on the negative side in a rectifier circuit 9 and flows write current to a magnetic head 12 through an NRZ-I conversion circuit 10. Hence, the current of a negative direction always flows after the current of a positive direction in the primary side of the rotary transformer 8 and no DC components are contained and therefore writing may be performed with high recording density by the use of the NRZ-I modulation system.
