Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve production efficiency by fully automating the process including the supply, boring, take-out and encasing of glass boards to be bored and to make uniform qualtity holes without producing any crack or notch by boring said glass boards up to a medium portion is the thickness in the both sides thereof by means of drills cocentrical with each other.
CONSTITUTION: The glass boards 5 laminated and encaused in a container are fitted one by one on the fitting stage 3 of a turntable 2 by a supply arm. Each glass board 5 is bored up to a medium portion in the thickness thereof by an upper drill 6-3 at a drill heat section. Thereafter, a through hole is made in said glass board 5 by a lower drill 6-4 centered with said drills 6-3 on one axial line and raised. In the meanwhile, cooling water 8 is supplied to the section being bored through a nozzle 7 to cool down said glass board 5. After the completion of this boring, said glass board 5 is washed by a washing bruch with said turntable rotated intermittently, taken out, fed to a station, taken out of a fitting stage 3 and encased in a finished board casing container.
