Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an inexpensive and high-reliable circuit block which can be mass-produced easily, by arranging and connecting a crystal vibrator, sealed in a flat package with at least two surfaces nearly in parallel, on a substrate with more than one passive element molded. CONSTITUTION:Crystal vibrator 1 and active element 2 are both flat, and passive element 2 is an IC chip in this case. Mold resin 3 protects chip 2 and is in a base- body shape as a circuit block. Lead-terminal group 5 serves as input and output terminals to and from chip 2 and vibrator 1, and slso for the fixture to another circuit substrate. Electric connection and fixing from vibrator 1 are made by terminals of 4 and 4'. The size of this can therefore be matched with that of a pack shape on a dual in-line system designed for an IC, and this block is extremely easy to use and hard, the vibrator is packaged, and the IC chip is molded, so that a highly-reliable and inexpensive circuit block can be obtained which can be mass- produced.
