Abstract
PURPOSE: To raise fishes and shellfishes using extremely small organisms for feeds raised by use of feeds for extremely small organisms for feeds consisting of yeasts containing specific components.
CONSTITUTION: Feeds prepared by adding 20 to 50% of ω-3 highly unsaturated fatty acid or esters thereof to the yeast are given to extremely small organisms such as "WAMUSHI" and the like to raise the same, and fires are raised by use of the organisms for feeds. Yeasts to be used include those of Saccharomyces such as bread yeasts, beer yeasts and the like. As ω-3 highly unsaturated fatty acids having carbon number of more than 20 and an unsaturation linkage at the position of ω-3 can be used. Typical examples of these fatty acids include eicosahexahyarochloric acid, eicosapentahydrochloric acid, docosapentahydrochloric acid and the like. Esters include alkyl esters and the like.
