Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent loss by means of drop information even if a portable electronic unit is erroneously dropped by giving information of a drop by means of the detection signal of a drop detection means detecting the drop of a device. SOLUTION: A shock sensor 9 is installed in a control system 5. A sensor detecting a shock at the time of a drop and that outputting a signal when more than prescribed drop speed is added exist for the shock sensor 9. Both sensors can be used. A ringing unit 8 which is previously loaded on a portable telephone set is shared as a means for giving information of the drop by the detection signal of the shock sensor 9. When the portable telephone set is used and it is dropped when a user intends to put it in a pocket, the shock sensor 9 senses that the portable telephone set drops and it is abutted on the ground. The detection signal is inputted to the control system 5, the ringing unit 8 is operated and the drop of the unit is informed. Even if the unit is erroneously dropped, loss is prevented by drop information.

As described above, the configuration of the conventional portable telephone is not provided with any means for preventing loss. Conventionally, as shown in FIG. 5, a strap 1 is attached to the side of a mobile phone 10 to prevent the mobile phone from dropping.
Some people attach a 1 (eg, belt, back, etc.), but this alone does not help if you accidentally put it in your pocket, but you drop it. For this reason, the loss of a mobile phone is a problem at present.

According to the above-mentioned means, when the portable electronic device falls by mistake using the impact sensor or the acceleration sensor as the fall detecting means, the fall is detected. Based on the detection signal of the sensor, the sounding device already mounted on the portable electronic device as the notification means is shared, or a specially provided sounding device is operated to notify the falling of the device. Thus, even if the portable electronic device is accidentally dropped, the loss can be prevented by the notification.

FIG. 1 shows a configuration of a mobile phone according to an embodiment of the present invention. The antenna 1 and the wireless system 2 are provided with a speaker 3 and a microphone 4, and the control system 5 is provided with a keypad 6, a display 7 and a sounder 8. System 5 with shock sensor 9
Is provided. The impact sensor 9 includes a sensor that detects a shock at the time of a drop and a sensor that outputs a signal when a drop speed is applied to a certain speed or more. Either of them can be used. As a means for informing of a fall by the detection signal of the impact sensor 9, the sounder 8 already mounted on the mobile phone is shared.

FIG. 2 is a flow chart showing a flow of detecting the fall of the portable telephone. As shown in FIG. 3, the portable telephone 20 is used when the portable telephone 20 of the present invention is used and the user intends to put it in a pocket. Is detected by the impact sensor 9 when it falls and hits the ground (S1), a detection signal is input to the control system 5, and the sounder 8 is operated to notify that it has fallen (S2).
Thereby, even if it is dropped by mistake, the loss can be avoided by the fall notification.

[0010] The fall notification using the sounder 8 is performed by modulating a sound, a buzzer, a melody, or the like different from a normal incoming call or the like, and the generated sound is self-held so as to continue to sound until preset. If it is, the effect of loss prevention is great. Further, the sounder is not limited to the existing one, and may be provided only for the fall notification.
