の回線は接続したままで情報処理端末は待機中とする。

要さない場合には、依頼後に一旦回線を切った後、適宜
な時に再接続して依頼結果を得るようにしてもよい。

社が勝手に自己診断を行えると故障先を容易に知ること
となり、他社の売り込みによるリプレイスの機会を与え
ることになる。

【特許請求の範囲】[Claims] 【請求項1】 リモート診断システムに特徴を有する通
信カラオケシステムであって、つぎの要件(1)(2)
(3)を備える。 (1)カラオケユーザが取り扱う多数のカラオケ演奏端
末と、通信カラオケ事業者が運営するホスト装置とが通
信回線で結合されており、ホスト装置から各演奏端末に
配信されるカラオケデータを各端末に蓄積しておき、各
端末において蓄積してあるカラオケデータを適宜に再生
する。 (2)前記演奏端末は、自身を構成しているハードウェ
アおよびソフトウェアについて、各機能要素ごとにその
動作に異常がないかどうかを所定のアルゴリズムに従っ
て調べる自己診断手段と、当該演奏端末の入力手段から
の指令に応答して前記自己診断手段を動作させ、その診
断結果を当該演奏端末の表示手段にて表示する第1の診
断実行手段と、前記通信回線を通じて前記ホスト装置か
ら与えられた指令に応答して前記自己診断手段を動作さ
せ、その診断結果を前記ホスト装置に前記通信回線を通
じて報告する第2の診断実行手段とを備える。 (3)前記演奏端末の保守サービス業者が取り扱う情報
処理装置と前記ホスト装置とが公衆回線網を介して通信
可能である。その通信により、前記情報処理装置は、自
身のIDと診断したい前記演奏端末のIDなどを添付し
て前記ホスト装置に診断依頼を発行する。この診断依頼
を受けた前記ホスト装置は、前記情報処理装置IDと診
断対象の演奏端末IDについて既定の業務契約情報など
と照して、該当の情報処理装置が該当の演奏端末につい
ての診断実施権があるか否かを判断し、診断実施権があ
る場合にのみ該当の演奏端末の前記第2の診断実行手段
に働きかけて前記自己診断を実行させ、その診断結果を
受け取り、それを前記情報処理装置に転送する。
