Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To absorb the pressure difference in two enclosures by forming a through-hole through at least one of the enclosures and mounting a value disc in the through-hole which opens and closes, depending on the pressure difference between the inside and the outside of the enclosure. SOLUTION: A valve disc 24 has a cylindrical part 30 having an annular coupler 30a extruding at the periphery and approximately a cross cut 30b crossed at the bottom center. A cover 25 has air-flow holes 25a opened at the inside and outside of the side wall and coupling hole 25b at the inner wall, facing the coupler 30a. A protective wall 32 protruding in directions perpendicular to the axial line of the air-flow holes 25a is integrated with inner bottom face of the cover 25. Owing to the pressure difference between the inside and outside of the enclosure, the valve disc 24 deforms to open the cut 30b, thereby flowing air from a high pressure to a low pressure to absorb the pressure difference between the inside and outside of the enclosure.

[0003] In the housing for electronic equipment thus constructed, the temperature of both exteriors rises due to the heat generated by the electronic devices inside both exteriors, and the surfaces of both exteriors also rise due to rainfall, snow or power interruption. If cooled rapidly, the temperature in both exterior bodies will fall.

[0004] Now, the inside of both exterior bodies is in a high temperature state due to the heat generated by the electronic equipment, and when rain or snow falls in this state, the surfaces of both exterior bodies are instantaneously cooled, and the ambient temperature inside both exterior bodies rapidly decreases. The internal pressure also decreases sharply. At this time, a suction force acts on the both exterior bodies from outside the both exterior bodies due to a pressure difference generated inside and outside the both exterior bodies, and a deformation force is generated on the seal member, which makes it difficult to ensure a uniform contact pressure on the both exterior bodies over the entire circumference. A slight gap is formed between the exterior bodies, and rainwater or the like infiltrates into both exterior bodies from this gap.

Therefore, in such an electronic device housing, a mechanism for adjusting or absorbing a pressure difference between the inside and outside of the both exterior bodies is necessary in order to prevent rainwater or the like from entering the exterior bodies.

Conventionally, this kind of electronic equipment housing is disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 6-61657.
And the main part thereof is configured as shown in FIGS. 5 (a) and 5 (b). This is schematically described with reference to the figure. In the figure, reference numeral 1 denotes an exterior body for housing electronic equipment having a through hole 1a that opens inside and outside the exterior body, and 2 denotes a case that is attached to the exterior body 1 and penetrates. It is an elastic film that closes the hole 1a.

In the electronic device housing thus configured, when the pressure inside the exterior body 1 is smaller than the pressure outside the exterior body 1, the pressure P increases from the outside to the inside as shown in FIG. By acting, the elastic film 2 is deformed so as to swell inside the outer package 1. On the other hand, when the pressure inside the outer package 1 is larger than the pressure outside the outer package 1, the pressure P is increased as shown in FIG. The elastic film 2 was deformed so as to act from the inside to the outside to expand to the outside of the exterior body 1.

In such an electronic device housing, when the pressure difference between the inside and outside of the exterior body 1 is small, the elastic film 2 can be deformed to absorb the pressure difference. If it is large, there is a possibility that the elastic film 2 breaks and cannot absorb the pressure difference.

Here, the space occupied by the elastic body of the bellows and the elastic bag in the outer casing becomes larger because the deformation amount of the elastic body increases as the volume in the outer casing increases. For example, if the absolute temperature and the volume in the exterior body before the change are T1 and V1, respectively, and the absolute temperature and the volume in the exterior body after the change are T2 and V2, respectively, under the equal pressure condition according to Boyle-Charles' law, V2 / V1 = T2 / T1,
Volume change rate is (T2 / T1) x 100% and temperature difference 20 ° C

In this embodiment, the example in which the mounting position of the valve body 24 is set at the bottom of the first exterior body 22 is shown. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and the side part of the first exterior body 22 is not limited thereto. As described above, according to the present invention, at least one of the two exterior bodies is provided with a through hole that opens in and out, and the through hole is opened and closed by the pressure difference between the two exterior bodies. When the valve body is opened due to the pressure difference between the inside and outside of the exterior body, the inside / outside air moves from the high side to the low side to absorb the pressure difference inside and outside the exterior body.

Therefore, the amount of deformation of the valve body as the pressure absorbing mechanism is small, so that it is not necessary to secure a large space in the exterior body for absorbing the amount of deformation of the pressure absorbing mechanism as in the prior art. The size of the exterior body can be reduced.

Further, the fact that the amount of deformation of the valve body is small is as follows.
Since there is almost no restriction on the mounting of electronic devices, the degree of freedom in mounting electronic devices in the exterior body can be increased.

According to the fourth aspect of the present invention, since the protective wall is provided on the cover so as to protrude in a direction inclined with respect to the axial direction of the air inflow / outflow hole, even if rainwater or the like enters the cover through the air outflow / inflow hole. Blocked by the protective wall, it is possible to prevent rainwater or the like from entering the exterior body.
