Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing paper, which does not break easier than conventional packing paper, is hard to become creased, has a cushioning action and further is easily disposed by scrapping after use, has a heat insulating properties and a unique drape due to the foamed layer at the surface of the paper. SOLUTION: This packing paper 1 consists of a base material paper, which is mainly made of tissue paper and on one side or both sides of which a foamed layer prepared by foaming a thermoplastic resin. A printing layer is provided between the paper of the base material layer and the thermoplastic resin layer. Further, a transparent varnish layer is provided between the base material layer and the the thermoplastic resin layer. The softening point of the thermoplastic resin constituting the thermoplastic resin layer by a string-of-balls method as prescribed in ASTM E 28 is 50-180 deg.C. The thermoplastic resin is colorless of colored one. The thickness of the foamed layer is 10-100μm. On both the sides of the paper, thermoplastic resins, the metling points of which are different from one another, are laminated. By heating this paper up to a temperature, which is higher than the lower melting point and lower than the higher melting point, the thermoplastic resin layer having the lower melting point is expanded.

However, such thin paper wrapping paper is easy to dispose of after use and is inexpensive. However, when it is carried, the paper wrapping paper is torn and wrinkled, etc., so that it can sufficiently function as a wrapping paper. In addition, there was a drawback that the design was poor in appearance. In particular, clamshell containers used for fast food are made of expanded polystyrene, so that the containers are bulky and difficult to dispose of, and there is a problem that oil-resistant paper does not have heat insulation. Therefore,
There is a demand for packaging paper that is not easily broken, hardly wrinkles, has a buffering effect, is easily disposed of, is heat-insulating, and has excellent design.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a packaging sheet according to the present invention. FIG. 1 is a diagram showing a wrapping paper having a foam layer according to the present invention, and FIG. 2 is a diagram showing a laminated structure thereof. The wrapping paper according to the present invention may be in various forms such as sheet, bag, box cover, etc.
Shows a sheet of wrapping paper. As shown in FIG. 2, the material composition is such that a paper layer 2 is used as a base layer, a thermoplastic resin layer 3 is laminated on a front surface, and a thermoplastic resin layer 4 is laminated on a back surface. The paper layer 2 has good printability and enables beautiful printing. A printing layer 5 and a transparent varnish layer 6 can be formed on the surface of the paper layer 2. The paper layer 2 is printed with a pattern or the like, but the meaning of providing the transparent varnish layer 6 in addition to the print layer 5 is that if only the print layer 5 is used, the image area where the printing ink is present and the printing ink is not present There is a difference in thickness between the non-image portion and the non-image portion after the foaming process. If a smooth surface without irregularities is desired, it is necessary to provide a transparent varnish layer 6. Therefore, the transparent varnish layer 6 is not always necessary. The order of the printing layer 5 and the transparent varnish layer 6 is not particularly limited. Further, these layers are covered with a thermoplastic resin layer 3. The back surface of the paper layer 2 is covered with a thermoplastic resin layer 4.

The base paper layer 2 has a basis weight of 20 to 150 g / m2.
The range of 2 is preferable for production of packaging paper having a foam layer. In other words, within the range where paper can be actually manufactured, the basis weight of paper 2
If it is 0 g / m 2 or less, the paper is too thin and the strength as a wrapping paper is not sufficient. On the other hand, if it is 150 g / m 2 or more, there is a problem that the paper is too hard and packaging becomes difficult. Also,
The water content of this paper is preferably in the range of 1 to 10%. If possible, it is more preferable to stabilize in the range of 3 to 8%.
The principle is that the moisture of the paper is evaporated by heating and the thermoplastic resin layer on one or both sides is foamed by the force of the vapor pressure.

The transparent varnish layer 6 is provided on the surface of the base paper layer 2 or on the surface of the base paper layer 2 on which printing is performed. The method of applying the transparent varnish is mainly performed by printing. In particular, a method using gravure printing is desirable. There are other methods by coating. The composition of the transparent varnish used is mainly composed of a synthetic resin containing an extender. Synthetic resins include nitrified cotton, polyurethane resin, polyamide resin, polyvinyl chloride resin, acrylic resin,
Then, a resin or the like obtained by mixing these is used. Also,
As the extender, titanium oxide, calcium carbonate, magnesium carbonate, and a mixture thereof are used. As a solvent or a diluting solvent, toluene, ethyl acetate, methyl ethyl ketone, isopropyl alcohol and the like are used. The coating amount is 1-2 g in the dry state after coating.

The thermoplastic resin forming the thermoplastic resin layer 3 or the thermoplastic resin layer 4 includes low-density polyethylene resin, linear low-density polyethylene resin, medium-density polyethylene resin, high-density polyethylene resin, polypropylene resin,
Use of ionomers, ethylene / vinyl acetate copolymers, ethylene / acrylic acid copolymers, ethylene / acrylate ester copolymers, ethylene / vinyl alcohol copolymers, polyester resins, polyvinyl chloride resins, polystyrene resins, etc. it can. This thermoplastic resin is used as a paper layer 2 serving as a substrate on which printing and transparent varnish have been applied.
It is laminated on both front and back sides. Examples of the laminating method include an extrusion coating method in which a resin is melted and applied, or a laminating method in which a film is attached. At this time, the thickness of the thermoplastic resin layer 3 or the thermoplastic resin layer 4 is preferably in the range of 10 to 100 μm. 10μ
If it is less than m or more than 100 μm, foaming becomes difficult.
When it is desired to foam either the front surface or the back surface of the thermoplastic resin layer, it is necessary to prevent evaporation of water vapor to the side not desired to be foamed. For example, if a polyethylene resin is taken as an example, the thermoplastic resin on the side that is not desired to be foamed is a ring and ball method (A
This is achieved by using a high-density polyethylene resin having a high softening point as measured by STM E 28).

Next, a method for producing a wrapping paper will be described. The wrapping paper can be formed into an appropriate size from the wound state by cutting with a cutter or punching with a punching die. It is more efficient to perform the heating and foaming of the wrapping paper in a process before cutting by a cutter and punching by a punching die. FIG. 3 shows the simple method. By winding the wrapped wrapping paper back through the heating zone 7, a blank having a foam layer formed thereon can be obtained. At this time, the moisture in the paper layer 2 of the base material evaporates, and the vapor pressure and the thermal expansion of the air are added to act on it, so that the foamed layer is formed on the thermoplastic resin layer 3 on one or both sides or the thermoplastic resin layer 4. Is formed. As a heating method, a method using hot air, infrared rays, far infrared rays, microwaves, high frequency, or the like can be used. Further, a method of heating while standing or a method of heating while feeding by a conveyor can also be used. As the heating conditions, the temperature is preferably in the range of 100 to 200 ° C., and the time is preferably in the range of 10 seconds to 5 minutes.
