Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain thin profile and high quality with an improved structure of a speaker box by placing a bent part of the speaker box folded to be L shape between a display device and a rear cover. SOLUTION: A speaker box 7 is folded to be L shape and a bent part 7a is placed between a rear part of a display device 3 and a rear panel 4a of a rear cover 4. A speaker 6 is mounted in the speaker box 7 and a front part of the speaker box 7 is fitted to a front cabinet 2 via a vibration proof material 8 with a machine screw 9. A printed circuit board 5 may be placed to the rear side of a liquid crystal display device 3. Since the width of the bent part 7a of the speaker box 7 is made narrow, the depth of the television receiver 1 is decreased to the utmost. Thus, the speaker box is in use while realizing a thin profile and since the volume of the speaker box is not reduced, high sound quality is obtained.
