Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 （産業上の利用分野） 本発明はカードによって商品等を販売する自動販売機に
関する。
（従来の技術） 一般に，自動販売機では現金（硬貨あるいは紙幣）によ
って販売が行われているが，最近，磁気カード等のカー
ドによる販売，支払を行うようにした所謂カード利用の
自動販売機が実用化されている。
上記のカード利用の自動販売機に用いられるカードに
は,JISあるいはISO等の工業規格によって規定されたカ
ード（以下標準カードと呼ぶ）あるいは自動販売機用の
特殊な仕様カード（以下特殊カードと呼ぶ）がある。
またカード利用の自動販売機の決済方式として，購入価
格に相当する金額情報が磁気情報等の手段で書き込まれ
たカードを予め現金で購入し，自動販売機を利用するた
びにカードに書き込まれた金額が減少するようにした所
謂前払い方式，及びカードによって自動販売機を利用す
ると，自動販売機内に利用金額が記憶され，予め定めら
れた期間ごとに自動販売機内に記憶されているカードご
との累積利用金額をカード保持者に支払わせる所謂後払
い方式がある。
（発明が解決しようとする問題点） ところで，カード利用による自動販売機の場合，偽造カ
ード，盗難カード等による不正利用等に対する防御対策
（以下セキュリティ対策と呼ぶ）が重要となる。上述の
前払い方式の場合は予め現金を受けとっているから，利
用額の回収ができないということはないが，カードに書
き込まれた金額情報を改ざんすることによる不正使用が
考えまれる。このため，前払い方式では通常利用額に応
じて例えばカードにせん孔を行うなどのカード形状の破
断を行っている。従って前払い方式では一般に特殊カー
ドが用いられている。
ところが，前払い方式はセキュリティ対策上有利である
が，カードに書き込まれた金額情報がゼロになると，カ
ード自体が廃棄されるため，カードコストが高くなると
いう問題点がある。
一方，上述の後払い方式においては，発行されたカード
は長期間使用されるため，耐久性のあるプラスチック製
の標準カードが用いられている。ところで後払い方式の
セキュリティ対策としては，例えば不正カードリストを
自動販売機内に記憶されておき，カードの不正チェック
を行う方式が考えられるが，一般にこの不正カードリス
トの量は膨大であり，従って自動販売機に内蔵させる記
憶装置が高価になるという問題点がある一方，不正カー
ドリストは頻繁に追加，更新されるため，そのたびに自
動販売機ごとに不正カードリストを追加，更新しなけれ
ばならない。
また，所謂オンライン与信チェックシステムのオンライ
ンオーソライゼーション端末装置を自動販売機に備えつ
け，カードのチェックを電話回線によって行う場合，オ
ーソライゼーション端末装置及び電話回線使用料が必要
となり，自動販売機自体が極めて高価になってしまうと
いう問題点がある。
このように従来のカード利用自動販売機においては，コ
スト面及びセキュリティ対策の面両方を満足することが
できなかった。
本発明の目的はコスト面及びセキュリティ対策面両方を
満足することのできるカード利用の自動販売機を提供す
ることにある。
（問題点を解決するための手段） 本発明によれば、登録カード情報と入力カード情報との
照合を行って有効である場合に限ってカード販売を行う
ようにした自動販売機において、カード情報を入力する
ための入力手段と、前記カード情報を前記登録カード情
報として記憶するための登録カード記憶部と、カードに
よる販売モードとカードの登録モードとを切替える選択
手段と、前記登録モードの際前記入力手段で前記カード
情報が読み取られると前記カード情報を前記登録カード
情報として前記登録カード記憶部に登録する第１の機能
を備える制御回路とを有し、さらに前記制御回路は、前
記販売モードの際、前記入力手段で前記カード情報が前
記入力カード情報として読み取られると前記登録カード
情報と前記入力カード情報とを照合して有効であるとカ
ード販売可とする第２の機能を備えていることを特徴と
する自動販売機が得られる。
（実施例） 以下本発明について実施例に基づいて説明する。
第１図は本発明による自動販売機に内蔵されたブロック
要素の結合図であるが，この第１図を参照して本発明に
よる自動販売機の構成について説明すると，後述する機
能を有するマイクロプロセッサ１には磁気ストライプの
磁気記録方式が同一であるカード（以下互換カードと呼
ぶ）のカード情報を読みとることのできるカードリーダ
2,操作表示パネル3,登録カード記憶部4,登録モード選択
スイッチ5,操作パネル６及びプリンタ７が結合されてお
り，さらにマイクロプロセッサ１は商品搬出駆動部８を
介して商品格納搬出部９に連結されている。
まず，上述の自動販売機では互換カードの登録が行われ
る。登録モード選択スイッチ５を登録モードとし，マイ
クロプロセッサ１を登録モードの状態とする。次に互換
カードに書き込まれているカード情報（例えば，カード
番号，銀行名等）をカードリーダ２から読み込むと，マ
イクロプロセッサ１はこのカード情報を登録カード記憶
部へ格納（登録）する。この時，操作パネル６によって
読み込みカード情報の表示あるいは登録の確認等を指示
しておくと，マイクロプロセッサ１は操作表示パネルに
カード情報の表示あるいは登録の確認等の表示を行う。
また必要に応じてプリンタ７に登録内容をプリントアウ
トする。
上述のカード登録操作では磁気ストライプの規格が同一
であればどのようなカードであっても登録ができる。例
えば，この自動販売機のために新たに発行されたカード
でもよいし，さらにクレージントカード会社，銀行等の
別の使用目的で予め所有するカードでよいことになる。
なお，登録選択スイッチ５はカードの登録管理のためキ
ースイッチとすることが望ましい。
カードの登録操作終了後，登録モード選択スイッチ５が
リセットされて，マイクロプロセッサ１は販売モードと
なる。自動販売機の利用者は互換カードをカードリーダ
２に挿入し，そのカード情報を読み取らせる。マイクロ
プロセッサ１はこの読み取ったカード情報と同一のカー
ド情報が登録カード記憶部４に登録されているかを照会
する。そして利用者のカードが登録されていないことを
確認すると，あるいは後述する無効等の情報が付加され
ていると，商品を販売できない旨を操作表示パネル３に
表示する。一方，利用者のカードが登録されていること
が確認されると，販売可能であることを操作表示パネル
３に表示する。販売可能であることが表示され，利用者
が図示しない商品選択スイッチによって希望する商品を
選択すると，マイクロプロセッサ１からの信号に基づい
て，商品搬出駆動部８が駆動し，商品格納搬出部９に格
納されている商品のうちの上記希望された商品が搬出さ
れる。商品が搬出された後，マイクロプロセッサ１は販
売された商品のリストをプリンタ７にプリントアウトす
るとともに，このリストは自動販売機内に保存される。
また上記利用者のカードに対応する登録カード記憶部４
に登録されているカード情報には販売金額情報が付加さ
れ，以後，自動販売機の利用のたびに販売金額が加算さ
れる。そして，上記の販売商品のリスト（商品販売記
録）及びカードごとの販売額（別途操作パネル６からの
指令に基づいてプリンタ７にプリントアウトされる。）
は予め定められた期日に代金支払い決済に用いられる。
代金支払い決済は通常のクレジット決済によるか，ある
いは自動販売機が限られた地域で運用されている場合
は，自動販売機の運用者が利用者あて販売代金を請求す
るようにしてもよく，運用形態によって決済方法はかわ
る。
上述したように，この自動販売機ではカード所有者の立
合いのもとに登録操作が行なわれる。また登録したカー
ドを盗難等により失なった場合，カード所有者からの届
出によって，操作パネル６を操作して，登録カード記憶
部４に登録されているカード情報を削除，あるいは無効
等の情報を付加する。なお，商品購入時にカードの暗証
番号を入力させて，自動販売機内に記録されている暗証
番号との照会を行うようにしてもよい。
ところでカードが盗難にあったとしても，そのカードを
入手したものは，そのカードどの自動販売機で利用でき
るかが不明であるため，悪用できない。一方，偽造カー
ドを造るにしても，登録されているカード情報（例えば
カード番号）が限られているため，その番号を当てるこ
とも困難である。このように本発明による自動販売機で
は十分なセキュリティ対策が得られる。
また，一般に上述の自動販売機の利用者は，この自動販
売機が設置されている地域になんらかの関係を有する人
に限定されるから，登録カード記憶部４の記憶容量は小
さくて済む。さらに，所定の期間（例えば半年間）中，
予め定められた金額以上のカードの利用がない場合には
該当するカード情報を削除するようにすれば，有効に登
録カード記憶部４を活用することができる。なお，利用
者が地域的に限定されるという上述の条件は，ある事業
所内に限って自動販売機を運用する条件と同様であるた
め本発明は事業所内の自動販売機に実施可能である。
このように上述の自動販売機では別の使用目的で予め所
有するカードが利用できるのみらず，即ち新たにカード
を発行する必要がなく，十分なセキュリティ対策が行な
われ，しかも登録カード記憶部４の記憶容量も小さくで
きる。
上述の実施例において，第１図のブロック要素は自動販
売機本体に内蔵してあるとしたが，最近の自動販売機は
コントロール部，金銭受入部，商品格納搬出部等が分離
構成となっていることもある。しかし，上述のブロック
要素は物理的に離れていても，また，たといブロック要
素の数とその組合わせが変わっても，機能上変わること
がない。
したがって，例えば酒販店の店頭に置かれた自動販売機
において，本発明を適用しようとする時は，第１図に示
されたブロック構成要素をすべて自動販売機に内蔵させ
てもよいが，第２図に示すように，登録用カードリーダ
11,登録カード記憶部4,操作パネル６′を店内に，マイ
クロプロセッサ1,カードリーダ2,操作表示パネル3,プリ
ンタ7,搬出駆動部８及び商品格納搬出部９を戸外に設置
してもよい。なお，第２図中の一点鎖線10は店内と戸外
の区切を示している。
このように設置すると，登録用カードリーダ11によって
カードの登録操作が店内で行えるから，顧客管理，売上
管理等が行い安くなるという利点がある。利用者は商品
購入時にカードリーダ２にカードを挿入すればよい。
なお，カードリーダには複数の磁気ストライプ規格に対
して，カード情報読み取り可能な機種がある。従って，
この場合には互換カードの範囲がさらに広がることにな
る。また，上述の実施例ではカードリーダを用いてカー
ドの登録操作を行ったが，操作パネルからカード番号等
のカード情報を入力するようにしてもよい。
（発明の効果） 以上説明したように本発明による自動販売機によれば，
使用可能なカードの種類が多くでき，しかも十分なセキ
ュリティ対策が安価に実現できるという利点がある。

Claims (2)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】登録カード情報と入力カード情報との照合
    を行って有効である場合に限ってカード販売を行うよう
    にした自動販売機において、カード情報を入力するため
    の入力手段と、前記カード情報を前記登録カード情報と
    して記憶するための登録カード記憶部と、カードによる
    販売モードとカードの登録モードとを切替える選択手段
    と、前記登録モードの際前記入力手段で前記カード情報
    が読み取られると前記カード情報を前記登録カード情報
    として前記登録カード記憶部に登録する第１の機能を備
    える制御回路とを有し、さらに前記制御回路は、前記販
    売モードの際、前記入力手段で前記カード情報が前記入
    力カード情報として読み取られると前記登録カード情報
    と前記入力カード情報とを照合して有効であるとカード
    販売可とする第２の機能を備えていることを特徴とする
    自動販売機。
  2. 【請求項２】特許請求の範囲第１項に記載された自動販
    売機において、前記制御回路には、前記登録カード記憶
    部に登録されているカード情報を備えるカードが予め定
    められた期間中予め定められた金額以上使用されないと
    前記登録カード情報を削除あるいは無効とする第３の機
    能が備えられていることを特徴とする自動販売機。
