Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a packing sheet for food absorptive to water and oil by providing a water and oil absorptive layer consisting of an oil absorptive pigment, highly water absorptive polymer and binder and a protective layer permeable to water, vapor and oil successively on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:A water and oil absorptive layer consisting of an oil absorptive pigment 2-1 (e.g. calcium carbonate), a highly water absorptive polymer 2-2 (e.g. acrylic acid-sodium acrylate copolymer) and a binder 2-3 (e.g. acrylic resin) and a protective layer 3 (e.g. paper) permeable to water, vapor and oil are successively provided on a substrate 1 (e.g. PE film). Meanwhile, the oil absorption of the oil absorptive pigment based on JIS K 5105 is controlled to >=100ml/100g. The deposition of the water and oil generated when the food generating water, steam or oil is packed on the food surface is prevented by this water and oil absorptive sheet, and the taste of food is effectively maintained by the sheet.

2. Description of the Related Art In recent years, super absorbent polymers which absorb hundreds of times their own weight of water have been developed, and water absorbent sheets used in the food field have been developed using the super absorbent polymers. (See Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2-8048 and Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 3-59196) These water-absorbent sheets are, for example, used for ordinary packaging of fresh foods such as vegetables and fruits, or for freshly steamed foods in the take-out food field. It is used as a packaging material to absorb the steam generated from buns and cooked rice. And, these are useful in that it is possible to prevent the deterioration of freshness and the deterioration of taste, which are caused by the moisture adhering to the food product, due to the condensation of the separated moisture and the generated steam inside the package.
However, not only vegetables and fruits, but also meat and fish, such as fried chicken, hamburger steak, pizza pie, and fried foods, which are recently leached not only with water and steam but also with oil, are becoming more common. ing. For such foods, the conventional water-absorbent sheet cannot absorb oil, and if the generated oil is re-deposited on the surface of the food as it is, there is a problem that its taste is significantly deteriorated.

Materials used in the present invention will be described below. Examples of the super absorbent polymer include acrylic acid-sodium acrylate copolymer, vinyl alcohol-acrylic acid copolymer, starch-acrylic acid copolymer and the like.
Further, as the oil-absorbing pigment dispersed therein, calcium carbonate, magnesium carbonate, hydrous amorphous silicate, hydrous alumina silicate, hydrous magnesium silicate, calcium silicate, clay, calcined clay, talc, diatomaceous earth, Activated carbon etc. can be mentioned. Among these pigments, those having an oil absorption of 100 ml / 100 g or more according to JIS K 5105 are particularly preferable from the viewpoint of oil absorption of foods. That is, if the oil absorption amount is too small, it is necessary to increase the amount of the oil-absorbing pigment to obtain the oil-absorbing performance, so that the water-absorbing performance of the water-absorbing polymer may be reduced accordingly. The blending ratio of the super absorbent polymer and the oil absorbing pigment should be appropriately determined depending on the application, but the blending ratio of the super absorbent polymer and the oil absorbing pigment is 1: 5 by weight.
A range of 2: 1 is preferred. The coating amount of the water-absorbing oil-absorbing layer is appropriately determined depending on the type of food, but is generally 1 to 50.
g / m 2 (solid content) is preferred. Further, in order to bind a water-absorbing polymer and an oil-absorbing pigment in the water-absorbing oil-absorbing layer and to strengthen the adhesion between the water-absorbing oil-absorbing layer and the support or protective layer,
A binder such as acrylic resin, vinyl resin, polyester or polyurethane may be used. The content of the binder is 50 with respect to the total amount of the highly water-absorbent polymer, the oil-absorbent pigment and the binder in order not to impair the water absorption and oil absorption.
It is preferably less than or equal to weight%. The support forms an outer layer as a packaging material, and a plastic film such as polyethylene, polypropylene, polyester, vinyl chloride resin, or a paper base material is applied. When the under layer is a paper base material, it is preferable to provide an under layer between the water absorbing oil absorbing layer and the water absorbing oil absorbing layer in order to prevent water or oil absorbed from leaking to the outer surface. As its constitution, a plastic film made of polyethylene, polypropylene, polyester, vinyl chloride resin, or the like is laminated or coated or impregnated with these resin paints. In addition, as another embodiment of the under layer, aluminum can be vapor-deposited on a paper base material or an aluminum foil can be attached to carry out the operation. The protective layer that is permeable to water, steam and oil is an inner surface layer that is in direct contact with food and is made of paper, non-woven fabric, woven fabric, porous plastic, or the like. The protective layer has a function of preventing the water-absorbent oil-absorption layer that has absorbed water and oil generated from food from adhering to foods. Therefore, there is a need for materials that absorb and permeate water, steam and oil as quickly as possible. Specifically, it is preferable to use paper having a small size and a basis weight of 20 to 100 g / m 2 , or an open-cell layer of polyethylene, polypropylene, polyester or the like having a low bulk density.

The water absorbency and oil absorbency of the above Examples and Comparative Examples were tested. As the water absorption test method, water was applied onto the protective layer of each sample with a brush soaked in water, and the water absorption rate was measured. In each of Examples 1 to 5 and Comparative Example, the applied water was instantly absorbed, and no water droplet remained on the protective layer, and good results were obtained. Regarding the oil absorption property, the absorption rate of the oil after the salad oil was included was evaluated. The absorption rate was measured as the time until no oil drops remained on the surface of the protective layer. The results are shown in Table 1.
