Abstract

PURPOSE:To place the side surface of a watercooler in close contact with a wall surface or the like and enhance the efficiency of installation by providing an open air suction port to the lower part of a front surface of the watercooler. CONSTITUTION:A waste water tank 20 forms an open air suction port 22 which meets with a notched and recessed part 21 between the waste tank 20 and a bottom material 2 of a watercooler 1 as it is laid out at a specified position of the front of the watercooler 1. This open air suction port 22 is communicated with the interior of the watercooler 1. When starting a fan 6 in a refrigeration cycle, the open air flows into the watercooler 1 from the open air suction port 22. The open air which has flown into the watercooler 1 flows at the rear side in the watercooler 1 and cools a pressure apparatus 4. After having cooled the apparatus, the open air is heat-exchanged when passing through a condenser 5 and then discharged outside from a discharge port 14. Since there is no need for installing an open air suction port, such as louver to the side surface of a bonnet 3, it is possible to install the cooler in such a fashion that the side surface may be placed in close contact with a wall surface and reduce an installation space and incorporate the cooler into a system unit easily as well.

In the conventional water chiller, the outside air suction port is provided on the side surface of the cabinet.
Since it has to be arranged with a space of 0 cm or more, there is a problem that installation efficiency is poor due to an increase in installation area. Particularly, in recent years, for example, a water cooler installed in a restaurant or the like has a large installation space and is increasingly housed in a system unit. Therefore, deterioration of installation efficiency is a serious problem.
