Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a grommet which can be inserted to a panel easily and can be removed hardly, by installing an elastic member expanding to the peripheral direction to a wire to insert, and housing it to the housing of the main body, while holding the panel between the elastic member and a flange. CONSTITUTION:In order to install a grommet 1, at first, the cutting of an elastic member 9 is opened, a wire 3 is inserted, and it is fixed with an adhesive tape or the like at the engaging part 27. The wire 3 is inserted into a through hole 23 from the opening at the flange 19 side of the grommet main body 7, and an inserting member 29 is housed in a housing 25. Under such a condition, the main body 7 is inserted to the through hole 5a of a panel 5 from the inserting member 13 side, and pulled out. A swelling 17 is bent together with the inserting member 29 to the inner side, and a groove 15 is fitted to the hole 5a, and at the same time, the panel 5 is held by the member 9 and the flange 19 so as to fix the grommet 1. After that, the movement of the grommet 1 in the axial direction is blocked by the inserting member 29 of the member 9 and the flange 19, and the grommet 1 is hardly removed from the through hole 5a.

Since the axial length of 1 is small, the ring portion 1
Although it has an advantage that insertion workability for inserting 07 is good, on the other hand, in the state where the grommet 101 is fitted and fixed in the mounting hole 105, the flange portion 1 is attached to the wire harness 115.
There is a problem that the grommet 101 is easily detached from the mounting hole 105 when a tensile force in the 09 direction (arrow D direction in FIG. 9) is applied. That is, when the tensile force in the direction of the flange portion 109 acts on the wire harness 115, the same force in the same direction also acts on the grommet 101, and the tensile force causes the bulging portion 111 to bend toward the inner diameter side. As a result, the grommet 101 may come out of the mounting hole 105.

The grommet 121 shown in FIGS. 10 and 11 exerts a great fixing force when the spacer ring 125 is fitted in the spacer ring fitting groove 131 of the grommet body 123, and therefore acts on the grommet 121. There is an advantage that a sufficient fixing force can be obtained with respect to the axial force, and the grommet 121 is hard to come off from the mounting hole 130a. However, the mounting hole 1 of the panel 130
When the grommet 121 is attached to the 30a, the grommet body 1 is in a state before the spacer ring 125 is fitted into the spacer ring fitting groove 131 of the grommet body 123.
There is a possibility that 23 may easily come off from the mounting hole 130a, and further, the step of fitting the spacer ring 125 in the grommet insertion work increases, so that the work becomes complicated.

On the other hand, the grommet 1 is attached to the through hole 5 of the panel 5.
When a tensile force in the direction of the flange portion 19 (direction of arrow e) acts on the electric wire 3 in a state of being fitted and fixed to a, that is, when a tensile force in the direction of arrow e acts on the grommet body 7, as shown in FIG. The fitting portion 29 of the elastic member 9 is easily bent to the outer diameter side within the accommodation portion 25 of the grommet main body 7. As a result, the fitting portion 29 of the elastic member 9 prevents the grommet 1 from moving toward the flange portion 19.
