Abstract

PURPOSE:To form a fluorescent screen without using developing water by forming it with an alkali-soluble compound mainly made of condensed resin with a specific composition and a compound indicated by a specific formula. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive composition material is formed with an alkali- soluble compound mainly made of rosins or condensed resin of toluene sulfone amide and formaldehyde and a compound indicated by a specific formula. Phosphors are stuck on the exposure face to form a fluorescent screen, thus the fluorescent screen is formed by the dry process without using harmful chromium. A single grain layer of phosphors can be uniformly formed, and no developing water is required because of the dry process. In the formula, R1 indicates H or the alkyl group, R2 indicates the alkyl group, and (n) indicates 1 or 2.

2. Description of the Related Art A slurry liquid containing polyvinyl alcohol, dichromate, water and a phosphor is generally used for a photosensitive composition for forming a phosphor screen such as a color cathode ray tube. For example, sodium dichromate, potassium dichromate, ammonium dichromate, etc. are used as the dichromate in the conventional phosphor screen formation disclosed in JP-A-1-272029. The conventional fluorescent screen formation is a negative photosensitive material in which the slurry liquid is applied and dried, exposed, and developed with pure water. Therefore, the exposed portion remains after washing with water to form a fluorescent screen.

In FIG. 1, reference numeral 1 is a coating for forming a coating film by blowing warm air while rotating a PTR on a surface plate using, for example, a whaler, and 2 is a subsequent drying step in a drying oven. The coating step and the drying step 2 constitute a coating step (first step).
The thickness of the dry film obtained by this coating process is 0.5.
The coating amount is adjusted so as to be ˜3 μm. 3 is the alignment of the mask so that the opening of the mask is located at the position where the phosphor is applied to this dry film, and 4 is the exposure by the ultra-high pressure mercury lamp. In the step (second step), 5 is a phosphor coating step (third step) in which the phosphor is sprayed over the entire surface after exposure, and then lightly tapped with absorbent cotton (3rd step), and 6 is an extra phosphor. The unnecessary fluorescent substance removing step (fourth step) is performed by blowing away the powder with an air spray or the like.

Next, the operation will be described. When the exposed surface plate 12 is placed on the feed roller 11, the surface plate 12
Are carried to the phosphor dispersion section 13. Here, phosphor particles 1
4 descends and is evenly distributed on the face plate 12. Further, it is carried to the phosphor adhering portion 15 and lightly pressed by the roller 16 which moves along the traveling direction, so that the phosphor becomes PTR.
It is crimped to the photosensitive part of. FIG. 6 shows the structure of the roller 16, in which 17 is a shaft, 18 is a sponge, and 19 is a movable support, which moves in the direction of the arrow. By using the sponge 18 in this way, the PTR film is not damaged. In the experiment, the pressing force of the sponge 18 is 0.5 to 1.0 kgf / c.
The phosphor was sufficiently adhered to the PTR photosensitive portion at a pressure of m 2 .
Further, instead of the sponge, a phosphor may be sprayed with air.

In the above-mentioned embodiment, the unnecessary phosphor is removed only by air spraying, but as a final step, a water washing step 20 may be added as shown by a dotted line in FIG. This further enhances the effect of removing the unnecessary phosphor. Further, in the above embodiment, the application to the gas discharge color display panel has been described, but the color cathode ray tube, the fluorescent display tube, or the like may be any color display panel utilizing the light emission of the phosphor. The same effect as the embodiment is obtained.

As described above, according to the present invention, since PTR is used as the photosensitive composition for forming a phosphor screen, it is not necessary to handle chromium and a dry process is possible, so a large amount of water is used. This is effective in obtaining an inexpensive color display panel. Further, since the phosphor forms a single particle layer, there is an effect that a color display panel with high brightness can be obtained.
