レンス信号はディジタル伝送の場合に、ビデオエンコー
ダへのクロック同期信号として供給される。一方通信衛
星の1個又は複数の衛星中継器では図2に示すように、
基準地球局の送信チャネルが#Nチャネルとすると、リ
ファレンス信号プログラムとプログラムN−1の両方が
中継される。また、各地球局では#1〜#N−1チャネ
ルを利用してTV中継されるが、すべてリファレンス信
