(b) Prior Art As disclosed in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 59-1968, the outdoor unit of a conventional engine-driven heat pump is installed above the engine room housing an engine and a compressor driven by the engine. In many cases, a heat exchanger chamber containing a blower and an outdoor heat exchanger is installed. This heat exchanger chamber has an air inlet in the side wall and an air outlet in the upper wall.

(c) Problems to be solved by the invention The above-mentioned outdoor unit of the engine-driven heat pump is designed to guide the exhaust gas discharged from the engine to the exhaust top provided at the top of the unit through a conduit and dissipate it into the atmosphere. However, some of the exhaust gas dissipated from the exhaust top was sometimes sucked out of the heat exchanger room. Although the exhaust gas is purified, there was a concern that metal members such as aluminum and copper used in the outdoor heat exchanger would corrode during long-term use.

Therefore, in the device disclosed in Japanese Utility Model Application Publication No. 60-25872, an exhaust top is provided inside the heat exchanger room, and the exhaust gas is discharged from the air outlet together with the air that has passed through the outdoor heat exchanger. I was doing it.
However, since the exhaust gas passes through the blower, there is a problem in that it adversely affects the blower.

(d) Means for solving the problem This invention has an engine room that houses an engine and a compressor driven by the engine, and an air intake port located above the engine room on the side wall. An engine drive system comprising a heat exchanger chamber having an air outlet in the wall and accommodating a blower and an outdoor heat exchanger, and an exhaust top provided above the heat exchanger chamber to discharge engine exhaust gas. In the outdoor unit of the heat pump, the exhaust top is provided with gas outlet holes only on the peripheral wall on the side of the air outlet.

(e) Operation Engine exhaust gas is led to the exhaust top above the heat exchanger room through a conduit. Since the exhaust top is provided with a gas outlet hole only on the peripheral wall on the side of the air outlet, the exhaust gas flowing out from the gas outlet flows toward the air outlet. Moreover, the area around the air outlet is under negative pressure and the exhaust gas does not flow out from the peripheral wall of the exhaust top on the air intake port side, so the exhaust gas is discharged from the air outlet without being sucked into the air intake port. It is dissipated upward along with the air.

1 and 2, the outdoor unit 1 of the engine-driven heat pump has an engine 2 at the bottom.
It has an engine room 4 in which a compressor 3 driven by the engine 2 is housed, and a heat exchanger room 7 in which a blower 5 and an outdoor heat exchanger 6 are housed is arranged above the engine room 4. It is set up. The heat exchanger chamber 7 is provided with an air inlet 8 on a side wall 7a and an air outlet 9 on an upper wall 7b. The outdoor heat exchanger 6 and the compressor 3 constitute a part of the refrigeration cycle. Further, exhaust gas from the engine 2 is passed through an exhaust gas muffler 10 and a conduit 11 made of a flexible material to an exhaust top 1 provided above the heat exchanger chamber 7.
It is guided by 2. This exhaust top 12 is provided with a large number of gas outlet holes 13 only on the air outlet 9 side. Note that the engine compartment 4 is shielded with a sound insulating material 14.

When the engine 2 operates, the compressor 3 is driven and refrigerant flows into the refrigeration cycle. Furthermore, by operating the blower 5, outdoor air is sucked through the air suction port 8, and the outdoor air that has passed through the outdoor heat exchanger 6 is discharged upward from the air outlet 9. Further, the exhaust gas from the engine 2 is muffled by the exhaust gas muffler 10, and then guided to the exhaust top 12 above the heat exchanger chamber 7 through the conduit 11, and then flows out from the gas outlet hole 13.

In this embodiment, the gas outlet hole 13 is connected to the exhaust top 12.
Since the exhaust gas is provided only on the peripheral wall on the air outlet 9 side, the exhaust gas flows out toward the air outlet 9 from the gas outlet hole 13 on the air outlet 9 side. Moreover, the area around the air outlet 9 is under negative pressure, and the peripheral wall of the exhaust top 12 on the side of the air inlet 8 is not provided with a gas outlet hole, so that the exhaust gas flows out toward the air inlet 8. Therefore, the exhaust gas is attracted by the air discharged from the air outlet 9 and is dissipated upward together with this air. Therefore, the exhaust gas can be prevented from being sucked through the air suction port 8, and there is no fear that the outdoor heat exchanger 6 will be corroded. In addition, since the exhaust gas is dissipated without coming into contact with the blower 5,
There is no fear that the blower 5 will be adversely affected.

(G) Effect of the Invention Since this invention is structured as described above,
This system enables the engine exhaust gas to be efficiently dispersed into the atmosphere without coming into contact with the blower in the heat exchanger chamber and the outdoor heat exchanger, thereby preventing the exhaust gas from adversely affecting the blower and the outdoor heat exchanger.
