Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain incoming call ringing in a sufficient tone volume and tone quality at the arrival of a call not relying on power of a slave set nor a ringer by devising the telephone set such that a charger detects an incoming call signal from the slave set thereby ringing a ringer circuit in the charger. CONSTITUTION:When an incoming call reaches a slave set 11 while the slave set 11 is charged up by a charger 13, a connector 12 sends an incoming call signal to the slave set 11 through a radio circuit. An incoming call detection circuit 14 of the slave set 11 detects the signal and recognizes the arrival of call during the charging state, then the circuit 14 inhibits ringing of a ringer circuit 15 in the slave set 11 and delivers the incoming call signal to an incoming call detection circuit 17 in the charger 13 through a connection terminal 16. The incoming call detection circuit 17 in the charger 13 sends the signal to a ringer circuit 18, in which a ringer is energized. Since the ringer provided in the charger 13 is energized by the power of the charger 13 independently of a limit of the power of the slave set 11 and the ringer circuit 15, the ringer is driven in a sufficient tone volume and tone quality.

The present invention solves these conventional problems by providing a ringer circuit in the charger, and using power from the charger to ring the ringer circuit in the charger in response to an incoming signal from the handset being charged. By doing so, you are not subject to the power restrictions of the slave unit.
It is an object of the present invention to provide an excellent cordless telephone device capable of generating ringtones of high volume and high quality without being limited by size.

According to the present invention, when a call is received, when the handset recognizes the incoming call signal from the connecting device through the incoming call detection circuit, it transmits this to the charger, thereby causing the ringer circuit in the charger to ring. Therefore, it is possible to receive a call with sufficient volume and sound quality without being limited by the shape or power of the handset.

In FIG. 1, reference numeral 11 denotes a slave unit, which is charged by a charger 13. Reference numeral 12 denotes a connecting device for interfacing with the central office line. Reference numeral 14 denotes an incoming call detection circuit within the handset, which detects an incoming call signal from the connecting device 12. The incoming call detection circuit 14 is connected to a ringer circuit 15 in the handset 11, and at the same time is connected to the incoming call detection circuit 17 in the charger 13 through a connection terminal 16. The incoming call detection circuit 17 is also connected to the ringer circuit 18. 19 is a charging terminal.

Next, the above embodiment will be explained. In the embodiment described above, when an incoming call is received while the handset 11 is being charged by the charger 13, the connection device 12 sends an incoming call signal to the handset 11 through the wireless circuit. The handset 11 detects this with the incoming call detection circuit 14, and when it recognizes the incoming call while charging, it prohibits the ringer circuit 15 inside the handset 11 from ringing, and transmits the incoming signal to the connection terminal 16.
The signal is transmitted to the incoming call detection circuit 17 in the charger 13. The incoming call detection circuit 17 in the charger 13 connects this to the ringer circuit 1.
8 and makes the ringer ring. Therefore, according to the above embodiment, the ringer provided in the charger 13 is connected to the charger 1 regardless of the power of the handset 11 and the limitations of the ringer circuit 15.
Since the incoming call ringing operation is performed using the power of 3, it has the advantage of being able to ring with sufficient volume and sound quality.
