However, as shown in the figure, the storage case 24 of the exposed optical fibers, which needs to be reconnected from the connection box 20, is inserted into the vertically installed rods 21, 21 and stored in a stacked manner in the connection box 20. When taking out the storage case, the upper storage case must be sequentially pulled out from the rods 21, 21 of the connection box 20, and the required storage case 24 must be taken out, which is a very troublesome and time-consuming process. It was hot.

(Embodiment of the present invention) Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. In Figs. A housing consisting of a plurality of rows of ferrule storage chambers 2 each having a threaded groove 5, 6 having an optical fiber insertion hole 7 at its axis.
An optical fiber insertion hole 8 is formed in communication with the flange 9 on the outer peripheral surface thereof, and a spring 10 is engaged with the flange 9.
a plurality of ferrules having the ferrule 6;
are attached to each end of the exposed optical fiber core a drawn out from the end of the optical cable A by a method such as pasting, and inserted into each ferrule storage chamber 2 of the housing 1 as shown in FIG. The tip of the ferrule is inserted into a through hole 4 formed in the partition wall 3 and projects to the outside. Reference numeral 11 denotes a plurality of tightening bolts each having an optical fiber exposed core through hole 12 formed in the axis thereof. The tightening bolts 11 are screwed into the threaded grooves 5 of the housing 1 and connected to the ferrule 6 via the spring 10.
A pressing force in the axial direction is applied to the Note that this tightening bolt 11 can be used either by inserting the core wire through it before attaching the ferrule 6 to the exposed core end portion of the optical fiber by a method such as pasting, as shown in FIG. A slit may be provided in the longitudinal direction of the outer peripheral surface of the optical fiber 11, and after the ferrule 6 is attached to the exposed end portion of the optical fiber, the ferrule 6 may be fitted into the core wire. Therefore, if the ferrule 6 attached to the exposed end of the optical fiber is damaged for some reason, only the ferrule can be removed from the housing 1.
It can be easily removed from the inside and replaced.

In order to connect the optical cables by butting together the optical cable terminals of the present invention constructed as described above, for example, as shown in FIG. Long storage hole 15 and housing fitting hole 16
Drawing through the outer shell bodies 13, 13 provided continuously,
Optical cable A, from the terminal of A to tension member b
The optical fiber is pulled out leaving enough extra length for reconnection, and the retaining fitting 17 is attached to the tension member b. Next, the above-mentioned ferrule 6 is attached to each end portion of the exposed optical fiber core a, which has a predetermined length of optical fiber exposed from the end of the optical fiber core wire, by a method such as gluing, and the ferrule 6 is attached to each ferrule of the housing 1. Insert the ferrule into the storage chamber 2 with its tip protruding, and screw the tightening bolt 11 into the threaded groove 5 bored into the inner wall surface of the opening at the end of the ferrule storage chamber 2, and tighten the ferrule 6 in the axial direction via the spring 10. Apply a pressing force of . After that, optical cable A,
A is pulled back into the outer shells 13, 13, and the retaining fitting 17 attached to the tension member b is inserted into the outer shell 13.
At the same time, the housing 1 is fixed in the housing fitting hole 16 of the outer shell 13, and the housing 1 is fixed in the housing fitting hole 16 of the outer shell 13. By tightly connecting the shells 13, 13 to each other via the tightening nut 18, the respective end surfaces of the ferrules 6, 6 pressed in the axial direction within the housing 1 via the spring 10 are pressed against each other, and the optical cables are connected to each other. is fully connected.

(Effects of the Present Invention) According to the present invention, as described above, each end portion of the plurality of exposed optical fibers a drawn out from the end of the optical cable A has an optical fiber and its core wire insertion hole in the axial center. A ferrule 6 having a flange 9 and a splinter 10 that is engaged with the flange 9 is attached to the outer circumferential surface of the ferrule 6 with holes 7 and 8 communicating therebetween, and the ferrule 6 is partitioned by a partition wall 3 with a through hole 4 drilled therein. The inner wall surface of the end opening of the ferrule storage chamber 2 is inserted into each ferrule storage chamber 2 of the housing 1, which has a plurality of rows of ferrule storage chambers 2 with screw grooves 5 formed in the inner wall surface of the end opening. Optical fiber exposed core through hole 1 in screw groove 5 drilled in
By screwing in the tightening bolt 11 having the ferrule 2 and applying an axial pressing force to the ferrule 6 through the spring 10 to form the optical cable terminal, the outer shell 13 is placed over the optical cable terminal and the Not only can the optical cables be reliably connected to each other by an extremely simple operation of just tightening and connecting the outer shells to each other via the tightening nut 18, but also it is possible to connect each terminal of the exposed optical fiber a pulled out from the optical cable terminal. Even if the attached ferrule 6 is damaged for some reason, or if connection loss increases during use and it becomes necessary to replace it, only the ferrule 6 that is damaged or needs to be replaced can be replaced in the housing. It has an excellent advantage that the optical cable terminal part can be regenerated by an extremely simple operation of just removing it from the ferrule storage chamber 2 and replacing it.
