Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable shaving without uneveness even when right and left parts of a blade abuts on an uneven surface of face of a user during shaving operation by giving resilient force to a joint so as to be returned to the center of pivotal movement at all times by means of a resilient member interposed between a gripping body and the joint, and providing a means for enabling the connecting of a replaceable blade unit for use at an upper part of the joint. CONSTITUTION:Inside a recess 10 of a joint 8 an upper part having a notch for gripping member 1 is inserted and fixed to move pivotably around a pivotal shaft. Thereby the joint 8 can move pivotally, but a horizontal restriction face 16 at the front part of joint 8 abuts against a restriction face of 6 of the gripping member, whereby the joint 8 can move pivotally at a specified range of angles. By the action of a cam face 3 at the rear face of the gripping member and a cam follower member 15 of the joint 8, the joint 8 is returned to the center of the original pivotal center normally.
