If the control device malfunctions, the elevator may stop midway between floors, resulting in a so-called jamming failure, where passengers are trapped. In the event of such a jamming failure, an automatic recovery function provided in advance in the control device is activated to safely rescue passengers.

(Problem to be Solved by the Invention) However, if the automatic recovery function of the control device does not operate, rescue work by a specialized maintenance worker from an elevator maintenance company is required. This notification to the elevator maintenance company is made by an external notification device inside the car, but if the entrance is locked even when maintenance personnel arrive, it will take time to rescue the elevator. This will be explained using FIG. 5.

First, relatively serious failures, including passenger jamming failures, include elevators not starting even though the control device has issued an ascending or descending operation command, and doors not starting even though a door opening command has been issued. If the door does not open or the door does not close even though a door close command has been output for a certain period of time or more, the failure detection device 1fLL determines that there is a failure and outputs a failure detection signal. In response to this failure detection signal, the failure transmission device 12 transmits a failure occurrence signal to the maintenance company 5 using, for example, a telephone line.

At the maintenance company, the receiving device 21 receives this signal, records it in the recording device 22, and notifies the maintenance personnel. Therefore, a maintenance worker from maintenance company 5 is dispatched to the relevant residence.

On the other hand, the passenger trapped in the elevator 1 opens the sliding lid 16 of the in-car operation panel 6 (FIG. 4) and presses the unlock switch 14. As a result, the unlocking command device 15 receives the failure detection signal of the failure detection device 11 and the unlocking switch 1.
4 on-operation signal is added. The unlocking command device 15 operates the unlocking device 17 of the house entrance/exit section 2 on the condition that both of these signals are applied. Then, the unlocking detection device 18 detects that the lock is unlocked and sends it to the unlocking command device 15 to restore the state.

Next, the detailed operation of the unlock command device 15 will be explained using FIG. 2. When the failure detection device 11 detects a failure, the failure detection contact 11a is closed. In addition, since the mode selector switch 13 is normally connected to the b terminal side,
When a passenger in the car turns on the unlock switch 14, the unlock output relay 31 is energized. This unlock output relay 3
1, the contact 31a is closed and the electric lock solenoid coil 17c is energized. As a result, an actuator (not shown) of the electric lock is activated by electromagnetic attraction, and the lock is moved from the locked side to the unlocked side. In other words, it is unlocked.

On the other hand, the limit switch 18s is closed by the movement of the actuator, and the unlock detection relay 18R is energized. This energization of the unlock detection relay 18H causes its contact 18b to open. Therefore, even if the unlock switch 14 continues to be pressed, the unlock output relay 31 becomes de-energized at this point, and overheating can be prevented.

At this time, the control device does not operate and the failure detection device 11 also does not operate, making unlocking impossible. The mode selector switch 13 is operated under such circumstances, and if you switch it to the special side and connect it to the terminal a side, then press the unlock switch 14, the series of operations will be performed in the same way as described above. The unlocking operation is performed.

Next, the detailed operation of the failure detection device 11 will be explained using FIG. When a descending operation command is issued to the elevator, the a contact 41 of the descending operation command relay is closed, and when an ascending operation command is issued, the a contact 42 of the ascending operation command relay is closed. On the other hand, if the elevator starts, the b contact 43 of the start detection relay
is open. Therefore, the failure detection time relay 11R is energized from the time the ascending operation command or the descending operation command is issued until it is actually activated. However, since this failure detection time relay 11R operates on-delay for only 30 seconds, it will not operate unless this state continues for 30 seconds or more. As a result, a failure is detected when the engine does not start even after 30 seconds have elapsed since the descending operation command or the ascending operation command was issued.

Furthermore, the b contact 44b of the door open command relay, which was opened by the door open command, is not actually closed even though it is closed by the door close command, so the b contact 45b of the door close detection relay is not closed. If the condition continues for more than 30 seconds, it is also considered a failure.

Therefore, the failure detection device 11 can generate a failure detection signal by exciting the failure detection time relay 11R and opening the contact 11a in the event of a serious failure including a single failure.
