Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent recorded picture from being erased by changing a broadcasting hour and to reduce setting error by comparing a set indicator with an indicator, which is extracted from a transmitting signal, and starting the recording operation of a video recorder when the both indicators are coincident. CONSTITUTION:Television broadcasting waves received by a radio wave reception circuit 24 are detected, supplied as video signals to a video circuit 25 and supplied to a code extracting circuit 26. In the code extracting circuit 26, a code such as the indicator, etc., is extracted from the received video signals and this extracted code is compared with the indicator, which is held to an indicator set holding circuit 23, by a comparator circuit 27. When the both indicators are coincident, a coincidence signal is supplied through a selecting circuit 28 to a record starting signal preparing circuit 15 and a record starting signal 16 is sent out. Thus, even when the broadcasting hour is delayed rather than the hour, which is announced in advance, or broadcasting is stopped, the pictures can be recorded without fail.

"Problem that the invention aims to solve" When recording with a video recording device according to a set recording start time as in the past, the originally set broadcast start time may change for some reason. If this happens, you will need to configure the settings again. Especially after setting
If you are away from the location of the video recording device at the scheduled broadcast time, you will often be unable to respond to the change in broadcast time and lose the recording. Furthermore, when setting up recording, it is necessary to set the broadcast day of the week, broadcast channel, etc. of the broadcast program, but since it is necessary to set the settings in detail, sometimes a setting error may occur and the recording may be lost.

``Means for Solving the Problems'' In the present invention, a transmitting side transmits a program to be broadcast with a program-specific indicator attached thereto, and a receiving side selects a program to be recorded using the indicator. In other words, the receiving side sets the program reissudicator that you want to record, compares the set indicator with the indicator extracted from the transmitted signal, and if the two match, the video recording device starts the recording operation. Start. To end the recording in step 7, use the broadcast time or broadcast end time of the block associated with the indicator, or use the recording time set on the recording device side. This indicator method can embed various contents using indicators with a large amount of information.

FIG. 1 shows an example of the structure on the recording equipment side in this invention system. FIG. 1 shows a device C2 in which the present invention is applied to which the recording start time and recording time can be set on the recording device side as in the conventional case, and parts corresponding to those in FIG. 4 are given the same reference numerals. In this invention, an indicator setting holding circuit 23 is provided,
In response to this, a desired recording program indicator is set. The television broadcast radio waves received by the radio wave reception circuit 24 are inspected and supplied as a video signal to the video signal path 25 and also to the code extraction circuit 26. The code extraction circuit 26 extracts a code such as an indicator from the received video signal, and this extracted code is used as the indicator setting holding four-way 23 (=the set indicator and the comparison circuit 27
When the two match, a match signal is sent to the selection circuit 28.

In the case of B in the same figure, an indicator 6I indicating the program and a C2 start signal 62 are inserted at the beginning of the program, and an indicator 71 indicating the program is inserted at the end of the program. In FIG. 2A, the end time may be used instead of the required time.

Figure 3 shows an error detection/correction code added to the transmitted signal to prevent the recording from being lost due to an error in receiving the indicator when the radio wave condition is not very good. This is an embodiment in which a receiving code error detection/correction circuit is added in a signal receiving system. The signal C2 extracted by the code extraction circuit 26 is a signal to which the ECC shown in FIG. 82 is added together with the code. Using this signal, the error detection and correction circuit 29 detects whether or not there is an error in the received signal, and if an error is detected, it is corrected and sent to the latch circuit 29.
It is held at 1. The output of the latch circuit 31 and the contents of the indicator setting holding circuit 23 are compared in a comparison circuit 27,
The coincidence signal is input to the selection circuit 28 shown in FIG. 1 and sent out as a recording start signal.

"Effects of the Invention" As explained above, compared to the conventional method of setting the recording start time when video recording is performed, by using the method of the present invention, the broadcasting time can be changed without any hindrance. However, even if the program is delayed from the originally announced time or the broadcast is cancelled, the effect of being able to reliably record the target program can be expected.
