It has been downloaded from a host device to an input/output device with the aim of notifying and downloading, and even if an error occurs during downloading, it continues automatically without interruption, and also to minimize the amount of space occupied by the interface. A reception counter that counts the number of blocks of the program is provided in the input/output device, and the program downloaded from the host device is stored in the memory of the input/output device, and the number of blocks is counted by the reception counter. When an abnormality occurs, the reception counter is referred to and a re-download request from the block in which the abnormality has occurred is sent to the higher-level device to continue downloading.

まうという問題があった。[Prior Art and Problems to be Solved by the Invention] Conventionally, a control program has been downloaded from a host device when the input/output device is powered on. If correct data cannot be received due to interface disturbances while downloading from this host device to the input/output device, an error message will be sent indicating that an error has occurred in the interface, etc. ! and the download was interrupted. Therefore, it is necessary for the operator to restart the download from the host device to the input/output device from the beginning, or to reinsert the TM of the input/output device and start over from the beginning, which places a burden on the operator.
Re-downloading from the beginning requires a lot of time, and if multiple input/output devices are connected to the same interface, there is a problem that support from the host device to other input/output devices will be delayed due to interface occupancy. there were.
