Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the need of a mechanism dedicated to cleaning and to simplify the cleaning mechanism by providing an objective lens cleaning brush to a shutter opening and closing lever. CONSTITUTION:When a disk cartridge 1 is inserted in the cartridge insertion port 3a of an optical disk drive 3, the tip part 4a of the shutter opening and closing lever 4 is made to abut on the notched part 2a of the shutter 2 of the cartridge 1 and the lever 4 is rotated centering around a supporting point 4b to open a shutter 2. Thus, the cleaning brush 5 provided on the tip part of the lever 4 turns in the same way as the lever 4 and passes in contact with the upper surface of an objective lens 6. Therefore, a foreign matter such as dust stuck to the lens 6 is removed. 〔産業上の利用分野] 本発明は、レーザー光で媒体に情報を書き込み再生する
為、レーザー光の媒体面上のスポット径を1〜3μm程
度の微小スポットにすることにより、高密度の情報記録
を行う光学的情報記録再生装置に関し、特には、その様
な装置における前記レーザー光を媒体面上で収束及び移
動させる対物レンズの表面をクリーニングする光学系ク
リーニング装置に関する。 尚、本発明における光学的情報記録再生装置は、情報の
記録及び/又は再生を行う装置である。 〔従来の技術〕 従来の情報記録媒体(以下、ディスクと称す、)は第4
図に示す様にほこり等から保護するためにディスクカー
トリッジ46に収納されている。このディスクカートリ
ッジ46には記録及び/又は再生時といった必要時に収
納されたディスクを外部に露出するための開口44及び
前記開口を前記必要時以外には塞ぐ開閉可能なシャッタ
ーが取り付けられている。 この様なディスクカートリッジ46に収納されたディス
クに光学的に情報を記録及び/又は再生する場合は、ま
ず光学的情報記録再生装置に挿入口を介してディスクカ
ートリッジ46を挿入する。挿入されたディスクカート
リッジ46は、第4図(a)で示す様な装置内部に設け
られたシャッター開閉レバー41と当接し、更に挿入を
続けるシャッター開閉レバー41の凸部42aと、前記
カートリッジのシャッターに設けられた凹部42bとが
互いにかみ合い状態となる。その後頁に挿入を続けると
そのかみ合い状態のままシャッター開閉レバー41は案
内路43に沿って摺動し、その結果、シャッターは第4
図(b)で示す様に開状態され、ディスクカートリッジ
46の開口44を介してディスク47が露出される。 尚、ディスク排出時には、これと逆の動作が行われる。 この様に露出されたディスク47に、対物レンズにより
微小スポットに集光したレーザー光を情報に従って変調
して照射することにより、ディスク上に幅1〜2μm、
長さ1〜3μmの情報ビットを形成し情報の記録を行い
、この情報ビットから情報を読み取るには、まず光ビー
ムを対物レンズにより微小スポットに集光し、情報ビッ
トに照射する。このとき情報の有無により記録媒体から
の反射光あるいは透過光は光学的に変化する。 この変化を電気的に光検出器で検出することにより情報
ビットに対応した再生信号を得る。尚、この様な情報の
記録及び再生時のレーザー光の照射並びに反射光あるい
は透過光の検出は光ヘッドによって行われる。又、この
ような光学的情報記録再生装置においては、記録媒体上
の情報ビット列を微小スポットが常に正確に走査するこ
とが極めて重要である。その為に、記録媒体の反りに伴
なう焦点ずれを補正するオートフォーカス機能及び記録
媒体の偏心等による照射位置ずれを補正するオートトラ
ッキング機能が光ヘッドに必要となる。 このオートフォーカス機能及びオートトラッキング機能
を実現する方法として、対物レンズをオートフォーカス
方向及びオートトラッキング方向に動かす対物レンズ駆
動装置を備える光ヘッドがある。この装置は、強力な磁
気回路をもち、しかも高精度に加工された軸受摺動部を
もつため、通常外部からのゴミ等の侵入を防ぐために、
防塵ケースが取り付けられている。

又は再生時に露出させる開口及び前記開口を塞ぐ開閉可
能なシャッターを有するカートリッジの挿入及び排出に
ともなって、前記シャッターを開閉する開閉機構と、前
記開閉機構によって開状態とされた前記開口より露出し
た情報記録媒体上に対物レンズを用いて微小スポットに
形成されたレーザー光を照射することにより、情報の記
録及び/又は再生を行う、前記対物レンズを搭載した光
ヘッドとを備える光学的情報記録再生装置において、前
記開閉機構に設けられたクリーニング部材を有し、前記
クリーニング部材は、前記開閉機構の動作に連動して前
記光ヘッドの対物レンズのクリーニングを行うことによ
り達成している。 詳しくは、後述の実施例にて説明する。 【実施例] 本発明の実施例を以下図面を用いて説明する。 第1図〜第3図は本発明の実施例を示す図である。 lは通常の記録・再生用のディスクを保護するディスク

き部2aにシャッター開閉レバー4の先端部4aが押し
当たり接合され第1図(1)の破線で示す軌跡でシャッ
ター開閉レバー4が4bを回転中心にして回転し、シャ
ッター2が開口する。その際、シャッター開閉レバー4
の先端部に設けられたクリーニングブラシ5はシャッタ
ー開閉レバー4と同じく回動し対物レンズ6の上面を通
過する。このとき第2図(2)に示す様に、クリーニン
グブラシ5の先端部が対物レンズ6の上面に接触しなが
ら移動し、対物レンズ上に付着したホコリ等の異物を取

ジのロード及びイジェクト時にクリーンブラシ5の移動
軌跡上に位置する様に、光ヘッド7を移動位置させる。 本実施例の場合、スピンドルモーター10の回転軸から
