Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide an indwelling needle improved in user's convenience, where protrusion or exposure of the needle tip and the dripping or scattering of residual blood are prevented, and having high safety and high infection preventing effect by constituting the indwelling needle so that a protective cover needle is drawn out to allow a cap part to separate from the connection part of the cylindrical needle to simultaneously cover the tip of the inner cylindrical needle. CONSTITUTION:When thrusting is completed, an operator draws out an inner cylindrical needle 21b by his right hand while presses an indwelling needle by his left hand. In this case, the operator holds the hub part 221b of the inner cylindrical needle 21b by his right hand to perform draw-out operation but, since the cap part 24 on the free end side of a protective cover 22 is engaged with the connection part 221a of an outer cylindrical needle 21a in spite of the draw-out stroke at the beginning, the freely extensible part 23 of the protective cover 22 stretches and the tip 421b of the inner cylindrical needle 21b is covered with and received in the cap part 24 of the protective cover 22. Thereafter, when the inner cylindrical needle 21b is further drawn out to reach a final draw-out stroke, the cap part 24 is separated from the connection part 221a of the outer cylindrical needle 21a to complete the covering of the inner cylindrical needle 21b with the protective cover 22.

First, as shown in FIG. 10, when inserting the indwelling needle 1 into the limbs of the patient 1, for example, into the vein (blood vessel) 6 of the arm 2, the practitioner (doctor, nurse, etc.) generally After holding the indwelling needle 1 with your hand (for example, your right hand) and indwelling the external cylindrical needle 1a into the vein, use your other hand (for example, your left hand) to insert the area A where the needle tip is located.
It is necessary to crush the vein 6 by squeezing the part to prevent blood from flowing backwards.

For this reason, the left hand of the practitioner is naturally occupied, and the indwelling needle is placed in the right hand.
If the inner needle 1b is removed and the inner needle 1b is still held, the tube 3 for supplying motivation fluid must be connected to the connection part 11a of the outer needle 1a with the help of another person. No. In other words, this method requires two workers, which may be inconvenient.

This is because the sharp metal tip of the inner cylinder needle 1b that has just been removed is still exposed, and a small amount of backflow blood has accumulated inside it, so the practitioner may accidentally accidentally If a person, patient, or even an assistant touches the tip of the needle, it is extremely dangerous because it is easily damaged and there is a risk of infection due to blood adhesion.

More specifically, the present invention equipped with such a protective cover is an indwelling needle consisting of an outer needle and an inner needle inserted into and out of the outer needle, in which the hub portion of the inner needle is extendable and retractable. One end of the protective cover is fixed, while a cap portion covering the tip of the inner cylindrical needle is formed on the other free end side of the protective cover, and the cap portion is engaged with the connecting portion of the outer cylindrical needle. When the inner tube needle is removed, the protective cover is extended and the cap part is detached from the connection part of the outer tube needle and at the same time is placed on the indwelling needle that covers the tip of the inner tube needle.

<Function> With this indwelling needle, when an attempt is made to remove the inner barrel needle after the needle has been inserted into the infusion site, the cap portion on the free end side of the protective cover will touch the connecting portion of the outer barrel needle during the initial withdrawal stroke. Since the protective cover is engaged, the protective cover is extended, and the needle tip of the inner cylinder needle is stored in the cap part of the protective cover.Furthermore, in the subsequent final pulling stroke, the cap part is separated from the connection part of the outer cylinder needle. Covering of the inner cylinder needle with the protective cover is completed, and exposure of the needle tip and scattering of blood are effectively prevented.

This protective cover 22, whose end is fixed, includes a bellows-shaped retractable portion 23 and a cap portion 24 provided on the free end side of the protective cover 22.
The material of this stretchable part 23 is not particularly limited, but it is preferably formed of a tube-shaped material such as soft rubber or plastic.

The cap portion 24 holds the outer needle 21 when the inner needle 21b is inserted into the outer needle 21a to a predetermined position as shown in FIG.
It is a part that engages with the connecting part 221a of the inner cylinder needle 21b, and at the same time covers the needle tip 421b after the inner cylinder needle 21b is removed, as will be described later, so it is desirable that the structure has a little more rigidity. In this embodiment, the telescopic portion 23 is made of, for example, thick rubber or plastic, and
In securing the outer cylindrical needle 21a with the connecting portion 221a,
The connecting portion 221a is loosely press-fitted into the cylinder.

In the main indwelling needle 21 configured as shown in 2, the outer cylindrical needle 21a
When the inner cylindrical needle 21b is inserted to a predetermined position, that is, when the cap portion 24 of the protective cover 22 is press-fitted into the connecting portion 221a of the outer cylindrical needle 21a, the telescopic portion 2
3 is compressed so that the length of the needle part 321b of the inner cylinder needle 21b is slightly longer than the length of the needle part 321a of the outer cylinder needle 21a, so that the needle tip 421b of the inner cylinder needle 21b protrudes slightly.

Therefore, in this state, the practitioner can place the patient's infusion site,
In other words, if the needle is inserted into a vein or the like, the sharp metal needle tip 421b will stick first as described above, making the insertion easy. The tip is also inserted smoothly into the infusion site.

After this, the cap part 24 is further pulled out, and when the final drawing stroke is reached, the cap part 24 is attached to the connecting part 221 of the outer cylinder needle 21a.
The inner cylinder needle 21b is removed from the inside of the cylinder a and becomes the state shown in FIG. 2, and the covering of the inner cylinder needle 21b with the protective cover 22 is completed.

Due to this effect, the length of the extendable portion 23 of the protective cover 22 when expanded is naturally set to a length corresponding to the length of the needle portion 321b of the inner cylinder needle 21b. Further, in order to prevent the needle tip 421b of the inner cylinder needle 21b housed in the cap portion 24 of the protective cover 22 from easily protruding or being exposed, it is preferable to attach the needle tip 421b to the tip of the cap portion 24 shown in FIG. 1 or 3(A). It is preferable to provide a needle tip exposure prevention means 25 consisting of a split piece or the like that is bent inward and has a one-way valve-like action. This figure 3 (A)
In this case, four divided pieces each having a cross-shaped cut are used, but the present invention is not particularly limited to this, and for example, as shown in FIG. 3 (B

In this way, the inner tube needle 21b is covered over its entire length by the protective cover 22, so there is no risk of the needle tip 421b being exposed bare, and there is no need to worry about residual blood dripping or scattering. , the practitioner can safely place the removed inner cylinder needle 21b in the surroundings.
