Abstract

PURPOSE:To make replacable a second main body which is frequently connected and disconnected so as to allow a general worker to replace the housing with a new one in a short time by dividing the edge connector main body into two parts i.e., a first main body which is mounted on a member to be attached and a second main body to which a printed wiring board is mounted. CONSTITUTION:The edge connector main body is formed as a laminated struc ture divided into two parts i.e., a first main body 2 which is mounted to a member to be attached and a second main body 3 to which a printed wiring board 1 is mounted, and the second main body 3 is capable of being detachably connected to the first main body 2. For example, the printed wiring board 1 is pulled out and a fixing screw 10 by which the second housing 3 causing nonconformity is fixed is removed and the second housing 3 is pulled out of the first housing 2 and replaced with a new, conforming second housing 3. In this case, the recessed portion 4b of the first housing 2 and the projecting portion 6b of the second housing 3 are detachably fitted with each other where by the second housing 3 can be replaced. Thus even a general worker can replace the housing with a new one in a short time.
