Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain identification information which is easily identifiable with naked eyes by forming rugged shapes having a specific depth or height and using these shapes as the identification information. CONSTITUTION:The identification information of signals, etc., by the rugged shapes having >=0.15mum depth or height is simultaneously formed on a substrate at the time when optical information signals are formed by stamping on at least one surface of the substrate. The information of said depth, etc., is easily visible even with the naked eyes and the optical information recording medium having the identification information which is easily identifiable with the naked eyes is obtd.

For such optical information recording media, it is necessary to write identification information such as product number type, serial number, and purpose on the substrate by some means for identification. There are several identification methods, one of which is an identification method using equipment such as marking a specific depth on the board and reading the depth symbol with a depth measuring device, but the symbolization is complicated and Furthermore, it is not easy to implement because it requires a reading device. Conventionally, therefore, a means of visual identification has been used, and the identification symbol has been formed as shown below.

[Problem to be solved by the invention (m)] However, although the method (a) can be formed relatively easily, the depth of the identification symbol must be made equal to the optical information signal due to the stamper operation, and it cannot be seen with the naked eye. It has the disadvantage that it is difficult to identify, and in method (b), printing is performed after molding, which makes handling complicated and increases the number of manufacturing steps.

In the case of (a), since the stamper on which the optical information signal is recorded is used, the unevenness of the identification signal is limited to about 2000 people at most, but such unevenness makes it very difficult to identify the person with the naked eye.

That is, as a result of intensive research into how to form identification information having a depth or height that can be discerned with the naked eye, the present invention has developed a method for forming identification information that has a depth or height that can be discerned with the naked eye.
Paired with this stamper, another stamper is installed for recording identification information in place of the mirror mold, and when molding the optical information recording medium, the identification information is also molded at the same time as the optical information signal is molded, making it possible to visually check the mold. It has been found that it is possible to obtain an optical information recording medium in which a discernible uneven surface of 0.15 μm or more is formed on the opposite surface to the optical information recording surface. Further, the uneven surface serving as the identification information does not affect the optical information signal and can be easily identified with the naked eye.

When molding identification information on the surface opposite to the optical information recording surface, it is possible to mold the information using a mirror mold with a pattern written thereon, but the pattern is restricted and pattern change is restricted, so it is preferable. is molded using a stamper.

A preferred location for the identification information is a portion of the optical information recording surface opposite to the portion where the optical information signal is not recorded, and in this position, the identification information can be molded without affecting the optical information signal in any way. .

In addition, when molding on the sides, the thickness of the substrate may not be sufficient or the symbols that can be expressed may be limited, but it does not affect the optical information signal, and optical information signals are molded on both sides of the substrate. It is effective and preferable in such cases.

According to the method described above, it is possible to form an uneven surface in a wide range from 0.15 μm to 1000 μm, although it varies depending on the thickness of the substrate, the symbol to be recorded, etc.

The optical information recording medium according to the present invention has an optical information signal formed on at least one surface of the substrate, and in addition to ordinary single-layer and multi-layer disks, sandwich single-layer disks have two sides. It can also be applied to those having optical information signals.

The invention will be further explained with reference to the drawings. In the molding apparatus shown in FIG. 1, a conventional stamper 3 is used for molding optical information signals, and a stamper 4 for molding identification information is paired with the stamper 3, thereby molding optical information signals. At the same time, identification information can be formed. Also, it is usually used as a mirror surface. Into the mold (5 in Figure 2)
By directly writing a pattern on the substrate, it is possible to simultaneously form an optical information signal on one side and identification information on the other side.

[Effects of the invention] As explained above, by simultaneously forming the identification information when recording the optical information signal, the 0.15 μm
The above-mentioned identification information based on the uneven surface can be easily determined visually, and the formation of the identification information can be done without increasing manufacturing costs or affecting the optical information signal, making it very effective. It is. In addition, if an optical information recording medium with an appropriate thickness is used, the thickness of 1000 μm can be determined by the touch of the finger.
It is very useful because it can mold identification information on the order of m.
