Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the back flow of ink toward an ink supply passage by providing nozzles opened to the outside to a plurality of the ink chambers formed to a head main body and further providing heating elements for pressurizing ink to the ink chambers while providing check valves to the ink supply ports of the ink chambers. CONSTITUTION:A movable part 5 is closed in such a state that voltage is applied to a heating element 6 and the ink supply port 8a of an ink chamber 8 is closed. Since the ink in the ink chamber 8 is reduced after an ink droplet is allowed to fly by applying voltage to the heating element 6, the movable part 5 is opened by negative pressure to replenish the ink to the ink chamber 8 from an ink supply passage in the amount corresponding to the reduction of the ink droplet as shown by an arrow. Since the movable part 5 acts as a check valve, no ink flows back to the ink supply passage 7 even when voltage is applied to the heating element 6. Therefore, when the application of voltage to the heating element can be stopped, the replenishing time of the ink to a nozzle can be shortened and the generation frequency of the ink droplet can be enhanced.

答性が悪いという欠点がある。
