Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease a peak current by constituting a rush current preventing means of a constant-current circuit. CONSTITUTION:A switching power supply circuit is equipped with an input power supply 1, DC-DC converter 2, input capacitor 3 and a starting switch 6, and a rush current preventing means is provided between these starting switch 6 and input capacitor 3. Here the rush current preventing means is constituted of a constant-current circuit 4. A short-circuiting element 5 is connected in parallel with the circuit 4 between its both terminals. Thus allowing a constant current to flow into the input capacitor 3 by the constant current circuit 4 in the time of starting, terminal voltage of the input capacitor 3 rises in a fixed gradient. Accordingly, the input capacitor 3, even when its terminal voltage approaches the voltage of the input power supply 1, prevents the terminal voltage from decreasing its rising speed.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] (Industrial Application Field) The present invention relates to a switching power supply circuit, and particularly to a switching power supply circuit that prevents inrush current at startup from flowing to an input capacitor of a DC-DC converter. (Prior Art) This type of switching power supply circuit has a circuit configuration as shown in FIG. 2, and a resistor prevents rush current when the power is turned on. That is, in FIG. 2, a resistor 7 is connected in series between the starting switch 6 of the input power source 1 and the input capacitor 3 of the DC-DC converter 2, and the terminal of the resistor is connected in parallel with this resistor 7. An element 5 was connected to short-circuit between the two, and at startup, the element 5 was opened to reduce the inrush current with a resistor, and during subsequent foot movements, the input capacitor 3 was charged from the power source 1 through the element 5.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) The inrush current prevention circuit in the conventional switching power supply circuit described above uses a resistor as a means for reducing inrush current at startup, so the peak value of inrush current increases exponentially. Decrease. Therefore, if you lower the current value in order to extend the life of the capacitor, that is, increase the resistance value of the resistor, the time constant will increase, the charging time will become longer, and it will take more time than necessary to start the DC-DC converter. It had the disadvantage of being long.

FIG. 1 is a circuit diagram of a switching power supply circuit according to an embodiment of the present invention. 1 is the input power supply, 2 is the DC-DC converter, 3 is the input capacitor of the DC-DC converter 2, 6
is a starting switch, and inrush current prevention means is provided between this starting switch 6 and the input capacitor 3, as in the conventional example shown in FIG. 2, but the inrush current prevention means in the present invention is It is composed of a constant current circuit 4 instead of a resistor. A shorting element 5 is connected between both terminals of the constant current circuit 4 in parallel with the circuit 4.

To explain the operation of the above configuration, first, the shorting element 5
, and when the start switch 6 is turned on and started, a constant current flows into the input capacitor 3 by the constant current circuit 4. However, due to the constant current, the terminal voltage of the input capacitor 3 increases with a constant slope. Therefore, unlike the case where the inrush current prevention means is configured with a conventional resistor, even if the terminal voltage of the input capacitor 3 approaches the voltage of the input power supply 1, the speed at which the voltage increases does not decrease. When the terminal voltage of the input capacitor 3 reaches a constant voltage, the shorting element 5 short-circuits the terminals of the constant current circuit 4. Thereafter, the DC-DC converter 2 is activated, and the input current during foot movement is supplied from the power supply 1 to the input capacitor 3 through the element 5.
