手段とを備え、上記決定手段において上位の階層
から順次下位の階層へ向つて、各階層の変換特徴
作成手段と識別手段とを動作させることにより認
識結果の候補文字を絞り込み、最終的に認識結果
を決定する過程で、各階層での上記動作させる識
別手段で使用する特徴をこの識別手段に対応した
上記変換特徴作成手段により作成して用いること
を特徴とする文字認識装置。
