Abstract

PURPOSE:To hold a telephone line in a reserved state after conveying the telephone line holding intention to the talking partner and to restart talking by resending carriers after charging the power source of a handset or moving to another place by not disconnecting the telephone line when the carriers are abruptly discontinued, but automatically holding the connected state and sending reserving tones to the telephone line. CONSTITUTION:When receiving section 4 becomes incapable of receiving carriers from a transmitting section 9 due to the exhaustion of the power source on a handset side or the bad state of an antenna, a carrier detection circuit 15 detects it and informs a control circuit 13 of the 'discontinued carrier'. Upon receiving the information of the 'discontinued carrier', the control circuit 13 immediately sets a talking circuit 1 to a reserved state through a reservation controlling output and holds the telephone line by actuating a reservation circuit. Simultaneously, the control circuit 13 sends reserving sounds to the telephone line through the reservation circuit of the talking circuit 1 by driving a reserving sound generation circuit. Therefore, the talking can be restarted.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Field of Industrial Application] The present invention relates to a handset cordless telephone that uses radio wave communication between the telephone main body and the handset, and particularly prevents accidental disconnection of the carrier transmitted from the handset. The present invention relates to a handset cordless telephone that prevents the telephone line from being opened in the event of a telephone line being disconnected.

Conventionally, this type of handset cordless telephone cannot make a call if the carrier is inadvertently disconnected, such as when the mobile handset's power supply (e.g. battery) is exhausted or when radio wave transmission is obstructed by the usage environment. In some cases, the voice was interrupted, and the line continued to be silent, or the phone line was disconnected at the same time as the carrier was disconnected for the sake of public network safety.

The above-mentioned conventional handset cordless telephone goes silent when the carrier is disconnected, so the person on the other end of the call cannot tell that there is an inadvertent and temporary interruption of the call due to a wireless function failure, and the other party cannot hear the call. However, if the call does not end, the caller assumes that there is a problem with the telephone line network and ends the call on its own, or with conventional equipment that releases the telephone line at the same time as the carrier disconnects, the call is forcibly terminated. Therefore, even if carrier propagation is restarted by recharging the device or moving and changing the environmental conditions, the call state cannot be resumed, and in order to resume the call, it is necessary to make a new call to call the other party. There was a drawback that it had to be done.

Furthermore, some conventional handset cordless telephones of this type have a hold circuit in the call circuit that holds the telephone line in order to hold the telephone line, but this circuit cannot be operated by operating the hold key. It was designed to connect the telephone line to a hold circuit, and was not intended to capture the telephone line when the carrier was disconnected.

During a call, the receiver 8 receives the radio waves from the transmitter 3 via the antennas 5 and 10, and at the same time the receiver 4 receives the radio waves from the mobile transmitter 9 via the antennas 10 and 5. When the receiving section 4 becomes unable to receive the radio waves from the transmitting section 9 as a carrier due to power outage or deterioration of the condition of the antenna, the carrier detection circuit 15 detects this and transmits "carrier disconnection" information to the control circuit 13. The control circuit 13 [immediately upon receiving the carrier disconnection J information, puts the telephone call circuit 1 on hold through the hold control output and operates the hold circuit to hold the telephone line];
At the same time, the hold tone generating circuit is driven to send the hold tone to the telephone line through the hold circuit of the call circuit 1.

As explained above, the present invention automatically puts the call on hold without disconnecting the telephone line when the carrier is suddenly disconnected, and also sends a hold tone to the telephone line to indicate to the other party the intention to put the call on hold. This has the effect that the connection state of the telephone line can be maintained by transmitting the information, and that the call can be resumed by resuming carrier transmission when the handset is charged or moved to another location.
