Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the title sophisticated nonwoven fabric with stereoscopicity and variable color denseness, excellent in design effect, by embossing a nonwoven fabric consisting of thermoplastic synthetic fiber to form recess pat tern followed by dyeing with such a dye as to be slow-dyeing for said recess pattern. CONSTITUTION:A nonwoven fabric consisting of thermoplastic synthetic fiber is embossed using an embossing roller to form film-like recess pattern. Thence, using such a dye as to be slow-dyeing for said recess pattern, the nonwoven fabric is dyed in a conventional dip-dyeing process, thus obtaining the objective patterned nonwoven fabric with non-embossed portion uniformly dyed and the recess-patterned portion virtually colorless or less dense than the non-embossed portion. The above-mentioned process will allow nonwoven fabrics with decorative pattern to be easily obtained at extremely low cost leading to mass supply.

Among these uses, there are fields in which it is preferable to have various patterns attached for decorative purposes, such as packaging materials and wallpaper. Conventionally, when nonwoven fabrics are used in this type of field, a colorless or colored nonwoven fabric is given a pattern by printing or printing, or a three-dimensional pattern is given by embossing. - In this case, textile printing or printing involves color patterning on a flat surface, which lacks a sense of luxury and three-dimensionality, and is a process that is more complex and time-consuming than the normal dyeing process. With the increase in manufacturing costs,
This is not preferable for producing nonwoven fabrics that can be supplied in large quantities at low cost. Moreover, a pattern consisting only of three-dimensional shapes has a poor pattern effect, and the field of application is limited. Furthermore, patterns can be added by textile printing or printing to match the area, and three-dimensional shapes can be combined by embossing, but the process is complicated and it is difficult to match the designs, resulting in high costs.

It is also known that after giving a three-dimensional shape by embossing, the fiber layer around the embossing is impregnated with colored ink to create a corner pattern (see JP-A-57-161178), but this method However, the control of the amount of ink is delicate, and a vehicle resin is required to prevent the ink from falling off, resulting in the problem of spoiling the texture of the fibers.

As a result of intensive research to solve the above-mentioned problems, the present inventors found that when thermoplastic synthetic fiber nonwoven fabrics are thermocompression bonded, the dye adsorption speed and adsorbed carbon are different and inferior in the thermocompression bonded area.
By selecting conditions, the non-woven fabric should be colorless, similar to the color of the original non-woven fabric, or even if it is colored, it will only be dyed in a lighter color than the other parts that are not crimped, and furthermore, that part will be shiny and the other parts will be dyed. The present invention was developed by focusing on showing the degree of brightness that emerged from the surface.

The object of the present invention is to emboss a nonwoven fabric made of thermoplastic synthetic fibers under temperature and pressure conditions that form a film-like concave pattern by heating and pressing, deforming and adhering the fibers in the concave pattern area, and then The non-woven fabric is characterized by dyeing the concave pattern portion with a dye that is slow to dye, and has a non-crimped portion that is uniformly dyed, and a concave portion that is substantially colorless or lighter in color in the same color system as the non-crimped portion. This is achieved by a method for producing a patterned nonwoven fabric having a patterned portion (preferably a concave patterned portion that is substantially colorless on both the front and back sides or a concave patterned portion that is the same color and lighter in color than the non-crimped portion).

The thermoplastic synthetic fiber nonwoven fabric may be either a long fiber nonwoven fabric produced by a so-called spunbond method or a short fiber nonwoven fabric. However, it is necessary that the web can be immersed and dyed after embossing, and it is preferable to use a spunbond web joined by thermocompression bonding as a material that is particularly resistant to immersion dyeing.

In this case, each of the embossed parts 31 has a small area and is a thermocompression bonded part arranged in a scattered manner, so that it is difficult to visually distinguish the difference in shade, and therefore, a specific design effect is poor. In the nonwoven fabric according to the present invention, the thermocompression bonded portions 32 and 33 provide a specific design effect with an extremely three-dimensional effect and a high density difference.

Using an embossing roller having protrusions arranged in a staggered manner on this web, partial thermocompression bonded parts 31 having an area ratio of 12% to the entire surface of the nonwoven fabric are formed. The temperature of the embossing roller at this time was 200°C. Next, embossing is performed at a temperature of 190° C. and a linear pressure of 20 kg/cm using another embossing roller having protrusions corresponding to the pattern-like embossed portions 32 and striped embossed portions 33 shown in FIG. In this case, the embossing process may be performed using a combination of a high-temperature embossing roll and a flexible roll, but a metal/metal roll combination is preferred in order to make the pattern created by thermocompression bonding clear. The embossed nonwoven fabric thus obtained is then dyed blue by conventional dyeing methods. As a result said embossed portion 31,3
Although the entire nonwoven fabric portion 2 other than 2.33 is dyed blue, the embossed portions 31, 32.33 are only slightly dyed pale blue, and are not cut out on the surface of the nonwoven fabric 1. A prominent pattern is imparted.

As described above, the patterned nonwoven fabric produced by the manufacturing method of the present invention is a nonwoven fabric that has a clear difference in color and has a three-dimensional pattern with gloss. Therefore, it exhibits a remarkable pattern effect. Furthermore, since the patterned nonwoven fabric according to the present invention can be formed by simply embossing the nonwoven fabric and then dyeing it by dyeing, the manufacturing method according to the present invention can reduce the processing cost compared to conventional textile printing or printing. In addition, it is possible to impart a good pattern effect with a luxurious feel, and as a result, it is suitable as a manufacturing method for obtaining a decorative patterned nonwoven fabric that can be supplied in large quantities at low cost.
