Abstract

PURPOSE:To emulsify two-layered aq. and oily fluids and to considerably reduce the amt. of a surfactant used, by applying a shock wave to the fluids by electric discharge. CONSTITUTION:Two-layered aq. and oily fluids 2 are charged into an emulsification chamber 6 and a rotator 4 is rotated by driving a magnetic starter 3 to stir the fluids 2. Electricity is intermittently supplied from a power source device 5 to generate a shock wave by electric discharge from electrodes 1 for electric discharge and the fluids 2 are emulsified by intermittently applying the shock wave to the fluids 2. The amt. of a surfactant used can be considerably reduced and a stable emulsion is obtd.

The conventional method of adding a surfactant to a two-layer fluid of water and oil and stirring it consumes a large amount of expensive surfactant, and the stability of the emulsion is not very good. The problem is that if stored for a long time, it will separate into two layers: water and oil.

本発明は上記の問題点を解決しようとするものである。The present invention seeks to solve the above problems.

The apparatus shown in FIG. 1 includes an emulsification chamber 6 in which a discharge electrode 1 and a rotor 4 are installed and into which a two-layer fluid 2 of water and oil is placed. A power supply device 5 to which the rotor 4 is connected by an electric wire and a magnetic starter 3 to which the rotor 4 is connected by a shaft are provided, and a pulp 7 for taking in and out liquid is connected to the side wall of the chamber 6 by piping. There is.

In the above, the two-layer fluid A of water and oil is put into the emulsification chamber 6, and while the magnetic starter 3 is driven to rotate the rotor 4 and the two-layer fluid 2 is stirred, electricity is intermittently supplied from the power supply device 5. is supplied to generate a discharge shock wave through the discharge electrode 1, and the shock wave is intermittently applied to the two-layer fluid 2 to form an emulsion.

As a result of the above method, the amount of surfactant used can be significantly reduced compared to the conventional method, and a stable emulsion can now be obtained. When a discharge shock wave was applied for 30 seconds at a frequency of 60 times per minute to a two-layer fluid containing no liquid, the two-layer fluid was completely emulsified, and this emulsion was left for a week without separating into two layers. It was very stable.

The present invention uses a method of applying a discharge shock wave to a two-layer fluid of water-based and oil-based fluids, thereby significantly reducing the amount of surfactant used compared to conventional methods, and producing a more stable emulsion than the two-layer fluid described above. Now you can.
