Description
Claims (17)
- 積層造形複合構造体を製作するための印刷システムであって、
ポリマー画像と、前記ポリマー画像を取り囲み、非印刷間隙によって前記ポリマー画像から空間的に分離された疑似画像とを有する基材材料を含む、3D物体のスライスと、
前記印刷システムを通して前記基材材料をプロセス方向に送り出すように構成された移送サブシステムと、
前記基材材料に隣接する積層造形デバイスと、
前記積層造形デバイスと通信する制御装置であって、前記制御装置は、前記基材材料の撮像領域上に前記ポリマー画像を所望のパターンで堆積させ、結果として前記基材材料上に前記ポリマー画像を生成するように前記積層造形デバイスを制御するよう構成されるとともに、前記ポリマー画像を取り囲む前記基材材料上に、前記ポリマー画像と前記疑似画像との間に前記基材材料の前記非印刷間隙を伴って前記ポリマー画像から分離して前記疑似画像を所定のパターンで堆積させるように前記積層造形デバイスを制御するようさらに構成されており、前記基材材料には、前記3D物体の前記スライスとして前記ポリマー画像及び前記疑似画像が印刷され、前記3D物体は、前記疑似画像がない複数の前記スライスの積層体を含む、制御装置と、を備え、
前記ポリマー画像は、外部角部と、前記外部角部に隣接する外部非鋭利領域とを含み、前記疑似画像は、前記外部角部に近接して前記外部角部の外側にある角境界部と、前記外部非鋭利領域に近接して前記外部非鋭利領域の外側にある非角境界部とを含み、前記角境界部は、前記疑似画像の前記非角境界部よりも高いポリマー密度を有する、印刷システム。 - 前記積層造形デバイスが、
前記基材材料の前記撮像領域上に接着剤を前記所望のパターン及び前記所定のパターンの両方で選択的に堆積させるように構成された画像形成デバイスと、
前記撮像領域及び前記接着剤上にポリマー粉末を塗布するように構成された粉末アプリケータであって、前記ポリマー粉末は、前記接着剤との相互作用を介して前記基材材料に付着して、前記基材材料上に前記ポリマー画像及び前記疑似画像の両方を形成する、粉末アプリケータと、を含む、請求項1に記載の印刷システム。 - 前記積層造形デバイスが、第1の積層造形デバイスセクションと、前記プロセス方向において前記第1の積層造形デバイスセクションの下流にある第2の積層造形デバイスセクションと、を含み、
前記第1の積層造形デバイスセクションは、前記基材材料の前記撮像領域上に第1の接着剤を前記所望のパターンで選択的に堆積させるように構成された第1の画像形成デバイスと、前記撮像領域及び前記第1の接着剤上にポリマー粉末を塗布するように構成された第1の粉末アプリケータであって、前記ポリマー粉末は、前記第1の接着剤との相互作用を介して前記基材材料に付着して、前記撮像領域に前記ポリマー画像を形成する、第1の粉末アプリケータと、前記基材材料に付着しない、前記塗布されたポリマー粉末の全てを除去し、結果として前記基材材料上に前記ポリマー画像を生成するように構成された第1の粉末除去装置と、を含み、
前記第2の積層造形デバイスセクションは、前記ポリマー画像を取り囲む前記基材材料の前記撮像領域上に、第2の接着剤を前記所定のパターンで選択的に堆積させるための第2の画像形成デバイスと、前記ポリマー画像を取り囲む前記所定のパターン上に第2の粉末を塗布して、前記基材材料上に前記疑似画像を形成するように構成された第2の粉末アプリケータと、前記基材材料に付着しない、前記塗布された第2の粉末の全てを除去し、結果として前記基材材料上に前記ポリマー画像を取り囲む前記疑似画像を生成するように構成された第2の粉末除去装置と、を含む、請求項1に記載の印刷システム。 - 前記疑似画像が、前記ポリマー画像よりもサンドブラストに対する耐性が低い、請求項1に記載の印刷システム。
- 前記疑似画像が、前記ポリマー画像とは異なる色である、請求項1に記載の印刷システム。
- 前記所定のパターンが、前記ポリマー画像の前記所望のパターンとは異なる反復パターンを含む、請求項1に記載の印刷システム。
- 前記疑似画像が、前記ポリマー画像よりも低いポリマー密度を有する、請求項1に記載の印刷システム。
- 前記所定のパターンがハーフトーンパターンを含む、請求項7に記載の印刷システム。
- 前記基材材料上にポリマー画像を有しない前記基材材料及び前記疑似画像を前記スライスの積層体から洗浄するように構成された3D物体仕上機と、前記3D物体仕上機によって洗浄する対象として前記疑似画像を認識するように構成されたセンサとを更に含む、請求項1に記載の印刷システム。
- 前記制御装置が、前記外部角部に近接して前記外部角部から外向きに延びる前記角境界部を堆積させる際、及び前記外部非鋭利領域に近接して前記外部非鋭利領域の外側にある前記疑似画像の前記非角境界部を、前記ポリマー画像からの距離が前記角境界部に対応するように堆積させる際に、前記積層造形デバイスを制御するように更に構成されている、請求項1に記載の印刷システム。
- 請求項1に記載の印刷システムを用いて積層造形複合構造体を製作するための方法であって、
a)印刷システムの前記移送サブシステムを用いて前記基材材料をプロセス方向に送り出すことであって、前記基材材料は撮像領域を有する、ことと、
b)前記基材材料に隣接する前記印刷システムの前記積層造形デバイスを用いて、前記基材材料の前記撮像領域上に前記ポリマー画像を前記所望のパターンで選択的に堆積させ、結果として前記基材材料上に前記ポリマー画像を生成することと、
c)前記制御装置による制御を介して前記積層造形デバイスを用いて、前記ポリマー画像を取り囲んで前記ポリマー画像から空間的に分離された前記疑似画像を前記基材材料上に前記所定のパターンで選択的に堆積させることであって、前記疑似画像を選択的に堆積させることが、前記ポリマー画像と前記疑似画像との間に前記基材材料の前記非印刷間隙を残す、ことと、を含み、
前記基材材料には、前記ポリマー画像及び前記疑似画像が3D物体の前記スライスとして印刷され、前記3D物体は、前記疑似画像がない前記複数の前記スライスの前記積層体を含み、前記ポリマー画像は、外部角部と、前記外部角部に隣接する外部非鋭利領域とを含み、前記疑似画像は、前記外部角部に近接して前記外部角部の外側にある角境界部と、前記外部非鋭利領域に近接して前記外部非鋭利領域の外側にある非角境界部とを含み、前記角境界部は、前記疑似画像の前記非角境界部よりも高いポリマー密度を有する、方法。 - 前記工程b)が、画像形成デバイスを用いて、前記基材材料の前記撮像領域上に接着剤を前記所望のパターンで選択的に堆積させることと、粉末アプリケータを介してポリマー粉末を前記撮像領域上に塗布して、前記接着剤との相互作用を介して前記ポリマー粉末を前記基材材料に付着させることと、を更に含み、前記積層造形デバイスは、前記画像形成デバイス及び前記粉末アプリケータを含み、前記工程c)が、前記画像形成デバイスを用いて、前記基材材料上に前記接着剤を前記所定のパターンで選択的に堆積させることと、前記粉末アプリケータを介して前記所定のパターン上に前記ポリマーを塗布して、前記接着剤との相互作用を介して前記ポリマー粉末を前記基材に付着させることと、を更に含み、かつ、粉末除去装置を用いて、前記基材材料に付着しない、前記塗布されたポリマー粉末の全てを除去し、結果として前記基材材料上に前記ポリマー画像及び前記疑似画像を生成する工程を更に含む、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 3D物体仕上機を用いて、前記スライスの前記積層体から前記疑似画像と、前記基材材料上にポリマー画像を有しない前記基材材料と、を除去し、結果として前記3D物体を生成することを更に含む、請求項11に記載の方法。
- スキャナを用いて、前記ポリマー画像を取り囲む前記疑似画像を自動的に検出することを更に含む、請求項13に記載の方法。
- 前記ポリマー画像を取り囲む前記疑似画像を検出することと、前記疑似画像の検出時に前記除去する工程を修正することであって、前記修正することは、前記ポリマー画像に隣接する前記疑似画像と、前記基材材料上にポリマー画像を有しない前記基材材料と、を前記除去することの速度を遅くすることを含む、ことと、を更に含む、請求項13に記載の方法。
- 積層造形複合構造体を製作するための積層造形システムであって、
ポリマー画像と、前記ポリマー画像を取り囲み、非印刷間隙によって前記ポリマー画像から空間的に分離された疑似画像とを有する基材材料を含む、3D物体のスライスと、
前記基材材料をプロセス方向に送り出すように構成された移送サブシステムと、
前記基材材料に隣接する積層造形デバイスと、
前記積層造形デバイスと通信する制御装置であって、前記制御装置は、前記基材材料の撮像領域上に前記ポリマー画像を所望のパターンで堆積させ、結果として前記基材材料上に前記ポリマー画像を生成するように前記積層造形デバイスを制御するよう構成されるとともに、前記ポリマー画像を取り囲む前記基材材料上に、前記ポリマー画像と前記疑似画像との間に前記基材材料の前記非印刷間隙を伴って前記ポリマー画像から分離して前記疑似画像を所定のパターンで堆積させるように前記積層造形デバイスを制御するようさらに構成されており、前記積層造形デバイスが、前記基材材料の前記撮像領域上に接着剤を前記所望のパターン及び前記所定のパターンの両方で選択的に堆積させるように構成された画像形成デバイスと、前記撮像領域及び前記接着剤上にポリマー粉末を塗布するように構成された粉末アプリケータであって、前記ポリマー粉末は、前記接着剤との相互作用を介して前記基材材料に付着して、前記基材材料上に前記ポリマー画像及び前記疑似画像の両方を形成し、結果として前記3D物体の前記スライスを生成する、粉末アプリケータと、を含む、制御装置と、
を備え、
前記疑似画像は、前記ポリマー画像よりも低いポリマー密度を有し、前記疑似画像は、前記ポリマー画像よりもサンドブラストに対する耐性が低く、前記所定のパターンは、前記ポリマー画像の前記所望のパターンとは異なるそれぞれのパターンであり、前記ポリマー画像は、外部角部と、前記外部角部に隣接する外部非鋭利領域とを含み、前記疑似画像は、前記外部角部に近接して前記外部角部の外側にある角境界部と、前記外部非鋭利領域に近接して前記外部非鋭利領域の外側にある非角境界部とを含み、前記角境界部は、前記疑似画像の前記非角境界部よりも高いポリマー密度を有し、前記積層造形システムは、
前記基材材料上にポリマー画像を有しない前記基材材料及び前記疑似画像を前記スライスの積層体から洗浄するように構成された3D物体仕上機と、前記3D物体仕上機によって洗浄する対象として前記疑似画像を認識するように構成されたセンサであって、前記3D物体は、前記疑似画像がない複数の前記スライスの積層体を含む、センサと、をさらに備える、積層造形システム。 - 前記制御装置が、前記外部角部に近接して前記外部角部から外向きに延びる前記角境界部を堆積させる際、及び前記外部非鋭利領域に近接して前記外部非鋭利領域の外側にある前記疑似画像の前記非角境界部を、前記ポリマー画像からの距離が前記角境界部に対応するように堆積させる際に、前記積層造形デバイスを制御するように更に構成されている、請求項16に記載の積層造形システム。
