Description
The present invention relates to balloons for balloon catheters.
BACKGROUND ART As one of the treatments for angina pectoris, myocardial infarction, and the like caused by narrowing of blood vessels, there is angioplasty in which a balloon catheter is used to dilate the narrowed portion. In addition to blood vessels, various balloon catheters have been proposed for the purpose of dilating constricted parts of body cavities such as the trachea and digestive tract. Treatment using a balloon catheter is widely performed because it is a minimally invasive treatment that does not require thoracotomy such as bypass surgery.
A balloon catheter is often inserted from a location distant from a lesion to be treated. For example, when a balloon catheter is delivered to the heart, the balloon catheter is mainly inserted from the femoral artery or the artery of the wrist or upper arm. Therefore, in order to perform safe treatment, it is required that the balloon catheter can be easily advanced in the desired direction from the insertion site to the affected area while following the inside of the narrow and curved body cavity. For example,
In order to safely perform a desired treatment using a balloon catheter, it is necessary that the balloon catheter be easily delivered to the desired treatment site while following the inside of the body cavity according to the operation of the operator. However, although the above-mentioned balloon can improve trackability to some extent by having a certain strength and flexibility, it is difficult to prevent kinks that bend the balloon, buckling that crushes the balloon in the axial direction, and stretching in the longitudinal direction of the balloon. There was room for improvement. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a balloon for a balloon catheter which can prevent the kink and buckling of the balloon as well as the stretching of the balloon in the longitudinal direction thereof and which can be easily operated.
One embodiment of the balloon for a balloon catheter of the present invention, which has achieved the above object, has a balloon body, and the balloon body comprises an expansion portion and a distal end positioned distally of the expansion portion. a distal sleeve portion and a proximal sleeve portion located proximal to the extension portion, the distal sleeve portion having a fixing portion fixed to the shaft; , a reinforcing portion is provided on the inner surface of the distal sleeve portion on the proximal side of the distal end of the fixing portion and in a part of the distal sleeve portion in the circumferential direction, It is characterized in that it does not have the reinforcing portion on its inner surface.
In the above-mentioned balloon for a balloon catheter, the expansion section has a straight tube section and a distal tapered section positioned distally of the straight tube section, and is located distally in the longitudinal direction of the expansion section. When the distal end of the tapered portion is the 0% position and the proximal end of the distal tapered portion is the 100% position, the distal It is preferable to have a reinforcing portion on the inner surface of the side tapered portion and part of the distal side tapered portion in the circumferential direction.
In the above balloon for a balloon catheter, it is preferable that the reinforcing portion of the distal sleeve portion and the reinforcing portion of the distal tapered portion extend continuously in the longitudinal axis direction of the balloon body.
In the above balloon for balloon catheter, the reinforcing portion is preferably made of resin.
In the above balloon for balloon catheter, the reinforcing portion is preferably made of metal.
According to the above-mentioned balloon for a balloon catheter, it is possible to prevent kinks that bend the balloon during operation of the balloon catheter, such as delivery and treatment operations, and buckling that the balloon is crushed in the longitudinal direction. It is possible to prevent longitudinal expansion of the balloon, such as when the balloon is inflated by introducing a fluid. Furthermore, when the balloon is expanded or deflated by introducing or expelling fluid from the balloon, delays in treatment can be avoided without prolonging the time of introducing and expelling fluid (inflation time and deflation time).
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail based on embodiments, but the present invention is not limited by the following embodiments, and can be modified appropriately within the scope that can conform to the spirit of the preceding and following descriptions. It is of course possible to implement them, and all of them are included in the technical scope of the present invention. In each drawing, for the sake of convenience, hatching, member numbers, etc. may be omitted. In such cases, the specification and other drawings shall be referred to. In addition, the dimensions of various members in the drawings may differ from the actual dimensions, since priority is given to helping to understand the features of the present invention.
One embodiment of the balloon for a balloon catheter of the present invention has a balloon body, the balloon body comprising an expansion portion, a distal sleeve portion located distal to the expansion portion, and an expansion portion. a proximal sleeve portion located proximal to the portion, the distal sleeve portion having a fixing portion fixed to the shaft, and the distal sleeve portion has a reinforcing portion on the inner surface of the distal sleeve portion on the proximal side of the distal end of the fixing portion and in a part of the circumferential direction of the distal sleeve portion, and the reinforcing portion on the inner surface of the proximal sleeve portion It is characterized by not having In this way, the reinforcing portion is provided on the inner surface of the distal sleeve portion proximally of the distal end of the fixing portion and in a part of the circumferential direction, so that the outer diameter of the distal sleeve portion It is possible to improve the rigidity while suppressing the As a result, the rigidity step between the distal sleeve portion and the fixed portion can be alleviated, and as a result, when the balloon catheter is operated such as delivering the balloon catheter to the lesion site or performing treatment, the balloon is kinked or collapsed in the longitudinal direction. Buckling can be prevented. In addition, since the inner surface of the distal sleeve portion has a reinforcing portion, when a fluid such as a pressurized fluid is introduced into the balloon to expand the balloon, the distal side that receives the fluid is the final destination of the fluid. The rigidity of the sleeve portion is ensured, and the expansion of the balloon in the longitudinal direction can be suppressed. Furthermore, since the inner surface of the proximal sleeve portion does not have a reinforcing portion, the proximal sleeve serves as an entrance and exit for fluid into and out of the balloon when the balloon is expanded or contracted by introducing or discharging fluid into the balloon. Since the internal lumen can be ensured without narrowing, treatment delays can be avoided without prolonging fluid introduction and evacuation times (inflation time and deflation time). Hereinafter, the balloon for balloon catheter may be simply referred to as "balloon".
A balloon for a balloon catheter will be described with reference to FIGS. 1 to 7. FIG. 1 represents a side view of a balloon catheter according to one embodiment of the invention, and FIG. 2 represents a longitudinal cross-sectional view of the distal portion of the balloon catheter shown in FIG. 3 represents a longitudinal cross-section of a distal portion of a balloon catheter according to another embodiment of the invention, and FIG. 4 represents a longitudinal cross-section of a distal portion of a balloon catheter according to yet another embodiment of the invention. represents the figure. 5 shows a cross-sectional view taken along line VV in FIG. 1, and FIG. 6 shows a cross-sectional view showing a modification of FIG. FIG. 7 represents a VII-VII cross-sectional view of FIG.
As shown in FIG. 1, a
As shown in FIGS. 1 to 7, the
The
The
As shown in FIG. 2, the
The
When the reinforcing
When the reinforcing
Alternatively, in the case where the reinforcing
The shape of the cross section perpendicular to the longitudinal axis direction of the reinforcing
As shown in FIG. 5 , the
Although not shown, the
The reinforcing
The reinforcing
The
As shown in FIG. 7 , the

A balloon for a balloon catheter according to still another embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 8 represents a longitudinal cross-sectional view of a balloon for a balloon catheter according to another embodiment of the invention.
As shown in FIG. 8, the
The inner surface of the distal tapered
The
Although not shown, the
As shown in FIG. 8 , the reinforcing

The
As shown in FIG. 1 , a hub 4 may be provided on the proximal side of the
