受信された前記放送番組及び前記制御メッセージを記録する記録手段と、
記録された前記放送番組を前記記録手段から読み出して再生する表示制御手段とを備え、
前記表示制御手段は、記録された１つの放送番組を前記記録手段から読み出して再生するとき、
前記複数のカードスロットに挿入された視聴及び録画用カードを参照して、当該放送番組の放送事業者との視聴契約の有無を判断し、
前記複数のカードスロットのすべてに挿入された視聴及び録画用カードに基づいて、当該放送番組の放送事業者との視聴契約がないと判断される場合、記録された前記制御メッセージに基づいて自動表示メッセージを生成し、当該放送番組に前記自動表示メッセージを重畳して再生し、
少なくとも１つの視聴及び録画用カードに基づいて、当該放送番組の放送事業者との視聴契約があると判断される場合、前記自動表示メッセージを重畳することなく当該放送番組を再生し、
