Description
Claims (14)
- システムの通信、指令、及び制御のために公益事業会社が使用するための多層通信ネットワークであって、
前記公益事業会社によって供給されるコモディティのそれぞれの顧客による使用と、前記公益事業会社の供給システムの運用と、前記システム全体にわたる前記コモディティの供給とに関する情報及びデータを取得する装置を含む第1の層と、
前記第1の層の一部を含む、定義された地理的な区域内の顧客施設から収集された前記情報及びデータが通信される第2の層であって、前記情報及びデータを受け取り収集するデータ収集手段を、それぞれの地理的な区域内に含む第2の層と、
それぞれのデータ収集手段によって収集された前記情報及びデータが通信される第3の層であって、前記収集された前記情報及びデータに基づいて前記供給システム全体にわたる運用状況の現時点での全体像を把握するために、前記システムからの全ての前記情報及びデータを収集し評価して、前記公益事業会社の供給システムの現在の運用状況を判定するためのネットワーク運用管理センタを含む第3の層とを備え、
前記装置は、メータ類、センサー類、設備類および遠隔監視機器を具備しており、前記装置は:
特定区域内の停電および水道管やガス管の漏れを検知した結果として生成される通知情報、または供給システム全体にわたって水やガスの消費量を監視し、制御し、水の無駄使いを防止し、ガス管内のガス圧や陰極腐食を監視した結果として生成される通知情報を通知するために、前記供給システムからのコマンドや指令に応答する動作;および、
要求された制御操作を実行するために前記装置に接続されている制御操作用設備に前記コマンドや指令を転送する動作;
を実行するように構成されていることを特徴とする、多層通信ネットワーク。 - 情報及びデータが、定義された地理的な区域内の顧客施設から、その区域のための前記データ収集手段に第1の周波数で通信され、前記データ収集手段から前記ネットワーク運用管理センタに第2の周波数で通信される、請求項1に記載の通信ネットワーク。
- 前記顧客施設と前記データ収集手段との間の通信は、約450MHzの周波数の上において実行される、請求項2に記載の通信ネットワーク。
- 前記データ収集手段と前記ネットワーク運用管理センタとの間の通信は、約900MHzの周波数の上において実行される、請求項3に記載の通信ネットワーク。
- 前記データ収集手段が情報を必要とされる量だけ収集した際に、前記データ収集手段は、前記ネットワーク運用管理センタにアクセスするために呼び出しプロトコルを実行し、自身が収集した情報を転送する、請求項2に記載の通信ネットワーク。
- 前記ネットワーク運用管理センタの各々は、一つ以上の前記データ収集手段から情報とデータを収集する、請求項1に記載の通信ネットワーク。
- 1つの地理的な区域における前記データ収集手段が、前記データ収集手段によって収集された前記情報及びデータを、隣接する地理的な区域におけるデータ収集手段に通信し、それによって前記データ収集手段と前記ネットワークオペレーションセンタとの間に代替の通信経路を確立する、請求項6に記載の通信ネットワーク。
- 前記第3の層が、地域内のデータ通信手段によって収集された情報及びデータが通信される地域的に離れた複数のタワーを更に含み、前記タワーが前記ネットワーク運用管理センタと通信する、請求項7に記載の通信ネットワーク。
- 1つの地域における前記データ収集手段が、隣接する地域におけるタワーと通信し、それによって前記1つの地域における前記データ収集手段と前記ネットワークオペレーションセンタとの間に代替の通信経路を確立する、請求項8に記載の通信ネットワーク。
- それぞれのデータ収集手段と前記ネットワーク運用管理センタとの間の送信を容易にするために、前記データ収集手段の各々と前記ネットワーク運用管理センタとの間をそれぞれ結ぶ経路に置かれる中継データ収集手段を更に含む、請求項1に記載の通信ネットワーク。
- 前記公益事業会社が電気を供給する、請求項1に記載の通信ネットワーク。
- 前記公益事業会社がガスを供給する、請求項1に記載の通信ネットワーク。
- 前記公益事業会社が水道を供給する、請求項1に記載の通信ネットワーク。
- それぞれが異なるコモディティを供給する少なくとも2つの公益事業会社によって同時に使用するための、請求項1に記載の通信ネットワーク。
