Description

The present invention relates to a grommet that is attached in a state where a wire harness is inserted into a through-hole provided in a vehicle body of an automobile, and in particular, in which a cable insertion path is provided in addition to a main insertion path through which the wire harness is inserted. It is intended to improve sound insulation.

When wiring the wiring harness through the through hole provided in the vehicle body panel that separates the engine room from the vehicle compartment, rubber or elastomer grommet is interposed to waterproof, dustproof, soundproof, etc. I am trying.

When a plurality of wire groups and cables are inserted through the through holes of the vehicle body panel, the plurality of wire groups and cables are inserted through one grommet. In particular, in addition to the main wire harness, when connecting a small number of wires with a different routing route from the wire harness, or connecting the cable that is routed and connected to the vehicle first to the production line of the car manufacturer. In the case of inserting the grommet later, a grommet having a sub insertion path in addition to the main insertion path for the wire harness is used.

Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2002-17026 (Patent Document 1) related to the earlier application of the present applicant shows an example of this type of grommet. As shown in FIG. 10A, the grommet 1 includes a small-diameter cylindrical portion 1a that allows a large number of electric wire groups W1 to pass through in a close-fitting state, and a large-diameter cylindrical portion 1b that is continuous with one end of the small-diameter cylindrical portion. The enlarged diameter cylindrical portion 1b is provided with a vehicle body locking recess 1c on the outer peripheral surface on the front end opening side, and is provided on the inclined wall portion so as to protrude from the through hole 1d for the minority electric wire W2 and the peripheral edge of the through hole 1d. A guide tube portion 1e is provided.

The grommet 1 is inserted through the multiple wire group W1 with the internal space of the small-diameter cylindrical portion 1a and the large-diameter cylindrical portion 1b continuous in the axial direction as a main insertion passage, and the through-hole 1d and the guide cylindrical portion 1e. The small number of wires W2 is inserted through the internal space of the sub-insertion passage. As shown in FIG. 10 (B), the minority electric wire W2 is wound around the outer periphery of the guide tube portion 1e after the elastic resin tape 1f is wound around the outer periphery in advance and inserted into the through hole 1d and the guide tube portion 1e. By fastening with the band 1g, the waterstop is improved.

On the other hand, with respect to grommets, in recent years, there has been a tendency for further improvement in sound insulation properties. As for the grommets provided with a main insertion passage and a sub insertion passage as in the case of the grommet 1, a material having further excellent sound insulation properties has been demanded. Yes.

For example, the grommet 5 shown in FIG. 11 is provided with a sound insulation portion made of a flap to improve sound insulation.
Specifically, the grommet 5 is attached to the through hole 6a of the vehicle body panel 6 in which the sound insulating material 6b is laminated on the passenger compartment Y side. The grommet 5 includes small-diameter cylindrical portions 5a and 5b through which the wire harness is closely attached. Provided at both ends, the small-diameter cylindrical portions 5a and 5b at both ends are continuously connected in the axial direction via the enlarged-diameter cylindrical portion 5c and the large-diameter cylindrical portion 5d. A flap 5e that seals the opening of the sound insulating material 6b corresponding to 6a is provided so that a sound insulating air layer 7 can be formed between the flap 5e, the sound insulating material 6b, and the enlarged-diameter cylindrical portion 5c.

The grommet 5 has a space that penetrates the small-diameter cylindrical portions 5a and 5b at both ends as a main insertion passage 5h, while a through-hole 5f for inserting a cable is provided in the peripheral wall of the enlarged-diameter cylindrical portion 5c. A cylindrical portion 5g protrudes from the periphery toward the inside of the enlarged diameter cylindrical portion 5c and the large diameter cylindrical portion 5d, and the internal space of the through hole 5f and the cylindrical portion 5g is used as a sub insertion passage 5i for cable insertion.

Since the grommet 5 has to project the flap 5e from the outside of the through hole 5f at the position where the through hole 5f for inserting the cable is provided, the sound insulating air layer 7 becomes small, and the sound insulating effect is low. There is a problem in that. On the other hand, it is conceivable to increase the wall thickness in order to improve the sound insulation performance of the grommet 5. However, increasing the wall thickness also increases the weight of the grommet 5 and makes it difficult to expand the grommet 5 when it is mounted on the harness. There is a problem in that the sex deteriorates.

The present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and in the grommet having the main insertion passage and the sub insertion passage and having the sound insulation portion, it is an object to improve the sound insulation performance without impairing the mounting property to the wire harness. It is said.

In order to solve the above-described problems, the present invention provides a small-diameter cylindrical portion that is inserted in close contact with a wire harness arranged in a vehicle, an enlarged-diameter cylindrical portion that is continuous with one end of the small-diameter cylindrical portion, and the enlarged-diameter cylindrical portion. A grommet made of an elastic material including a large-diameter cylindrical portion that is continuous with the large-diameter tip and an annular vehicle body locking recess that fits into a through-hole of a vehicle body panel provided on the outer peripheral surface of the large-diameter cylindrical portion. There,
A sound insulating material provided on the outer peripheral surface of the small-diameter cylindrical portion with a sound-insulating flap that protrudes in a conical shape toward the large-diameter cylindrical portion, and is attached to the vehicle body panel when fitted into the through hole of the vehicle body panel. A sound insulation air layer is formed by contacting the sound insulation flap,
In addition, a grommet is provided, wherein a cable through hole is provided in the inclined wall portion of the enlarged diameter cylindrical portion, and a slit for penetrating the cable is provided in a position facing the through hole in the sound insulation flap. ing.

Since the grommet having the above-mentioned configuration has a slit for cable penetration in the sound insulation flap, the cable inserted through the cable through hole provided in the enlarged diameter cylindrical portion is inserted into the slit to penetrate the sound insulation flap. Can do. Therefore, since the sound insulating flap can be formed so as to protrude from the outer peripheral surface of the small-diameter cylindrical portion so as to cover the cable through hole even at a portion facing the cable through hole, the sound insulating flap is passed through the cable through hole. Compared to the conventional case of projecting from the outside of the hole, a large sound insulation air layer can be secured inside the sound insulation flap, and sound insulation can be enhanced.

Moreover, since the sound insulation air layer provides excellent sound insulation, it is not necessary to increase the thickness of the grommet. Thereby, since it becomes possible to form a grommet thinly so that it may spread easily at the time of mounting | wearing to a wire harness, the outstanding mounting property to a wire harness can also be provided.

Furthermore, by making the hole provided in the sound insulation flap to penetrate the cable into a slit, individual differences in the cable diameter can be absorbed rather than round holes, and it becomes easier to adhere to the outer peripheral surface of the cable. The gap between the surfaces can be reduced, and the reduction in sound insulation can be suppressed.

The slits provided in the sound insulating flap are curved, and are set so that the split end faces of the slits are in close contact with each other so as to overlap the outer peripheral surface facing the cable, and the split end faces are from the cable insertion side. It is made into the shape cut into V shape over the drawer side.

In this way, by making the slit provided in the conical sound insulation flap into a curved shape, it is possible to eliminate the gap that occurs when the cable is passed through, and the sound insulation flap even during molding with a mold. Since a conical shape is formed, a curved slit can be formed more accurately than a straight slit.
In addition, by forming the split end face in the V shape which is opened on the cable insertion side and closed on the draw-out side, the cable insertability can be improved while minimizing the gap between the split end faces. .

Further, the present invention provides a small-diameter cylindrical portion that is inserted in close contact with a wire harness that is routed in a vehicle, an enlarged-diameter cylindrical portion that is continuous with one end of the small-diameter cylindrical portion, and a large-diameter-side tip of the enlarged-diameter cylindrical portion; A grommet made of an elastic material having a continuous large-diameter cylindrical portion and an annular vehicle body locking recess that fits into a through-hole of a vehicle body panel provided on the outer peripheral surface of the large-diameter cylindrical portion,
A grommet main body side through hole for inserting a cable is provided in the inclined wall portion of the enlarged diameter cylindrical portion, and a rear attachment member connected to a distal end side of the small diameter cylindrical portion is provided, and the rear attachment member is the small diameter cylinder. A small-diameter cylindrical portion that is inserted in close contact with the wire harness with a continuous portion and a hollow portion, and a sound-insulating flap that protrudes conically from the outer peripheral surface of the small-diameter cylindrical portion, and is fitted into the through hole of the vehicle body panel The sound insulation air layer is formed by bringing the sound insulation flap into contact with the sound insulation material attached to the vehicle body panel at the time of
The sound insulation flap is provided with a flap side through hole having a diameter equal to or smaller than the inner diameter of the through hole at a position facing the grommet body side through hole, and communicates with the grommet body side through hole from the periphery of the flap side through hole. There is also provided a grommet characterized in that a guide tube portion is provided so that a cable is brought into close contact with the guide tube portion and inserted therethrough.

Thus, even in the configuration in which the sound insulation flap is provided on the retrofitting member, since the sound insulation flap is provided with a through hole for inserting a cable, the sound insulation flap is projected from the outer peripheral surface of the small diameter cylindrical portion. It can be formed so as to cover the grommet body side through hole. Therefore, a large sound insulation air layer can be secured inside the sound insulation flap, and excellent sound insulation can be provided.
Moreover, since it is not necessary to increase the thickness of the grommet, it is possible to improve the mounting property to the wire harness.

Further, since the sound insulation flap is provided on the retrofitting member that is separate from the grommet, the guide communicated with the grommet main body side through hole from the peripheral edge of the cable insertion through hole provided in the sound insulation flap. It is possible to project the cylindrical portion. Since this guide tube portion can further improve the adhesion to the outer peripheral surface of the cable, the gap that tends to occur between the inner peripheral surface of the flap side through hole and the outer peripheral surface of the cable is completely shielded. The airtightness of the sound insulation air layer can be improved, and the sound insulation performance of the grommet can be further enhanced.

Furthermore, since the inner diameter of the flap-side through hole is equal to or smaller than the inner diameter of the grommet main body side through hole, it is possible to suppress and prevent intrusion from the sound from the flap side through hole, while the grommet main body side through hole is large. The workability of cable penetration into the grommet body can be improved.

It is preferable that the retrofit member is provided with a rib that abuts against the outer peripheral surface of the enlarged diameter cylindrical portion of the grommet body in a normal connection state to the grommet body. As a result, the back-attached member is inserted too deeply into the grommet body at the time of connection, and the sound insulation air layer is crushed, or the sound insulation flap is floated from the surface of the sound insulation material laminated on the vehicle body panel because it is too fit. Can prevent poor formation of sound insulation air layer due to

A cable insertion cylinder is projected from the periphery of the grommet main body side through hole to the inside of the enlarged diameter cylinder and the large diameter cylinder, and the cable through which the resin protective material is penetrated is inserted into the cable insertion cylinder, It is preferable that the outer peripheral surface of the resin protective material is in close contact with the inner peripheral surface of the insertion tube portion.
Thereby, the clearance gap between the inner peripheral surface of a grommet main body side through-hole and the outer peripheral surface of a cable can be sealed completely, and sound insulation can be improved.

When using the retrofitting member provided with the sound insulation flap, the hollow portion of the cable insertion tube portion is communicated with the hollow portion of the guide tube portion protruding from the sound insulation flap, and the resin protective material is connected to the cable. It is preferable to insert the insertion tube portion and the guide tube portion into the inside so that the outer peripheral surface of the resin protective material is in close contact with both the inner peripheral surface of the cable insertion tube portion and the inner peripheral surface of the guide tube portion.
As a result, the gap can be sealed by both the flap side through hole and the grommet main body side through hole, so that the sealing degree of the sound insulation air layer formed between the sound insulating flap and the grommet main body can be increased, and the sound insulating property Can be further enhanced.

The grommet is attached to a through hole provided in a vehicle body panel that partitions an engine room and a vehicle compartment of an automobile, and the cable is an opener cable for opening a bonnet, and the grommet is provided in the through hole of the vehicle body panel. It is inserted after mounting.

As described above, since the grommet according to the present invention has a slit or through hole for inserting a cable in the sound insulating flap, the grommet is also used for sound insulation even at a portion facing the cable through hole provided in the enlarged diameter cylindrical portion of the grommet. A flap can be provided so as to protrude from the outer peripheral surface of the small-diameter cylindrical portion so as to cover the cable through hole. Therefore, a large sound insulation air layer can be formed inside the sound insulation flap, and excellent sound insulation can be provided.

In addition, since it is not necessary to thicken the grommet, which has been done in the past to compensate for the lack of sound insulation, the grommet can be made thin so that it can be easily expanded when it is attached to the wire harness. The property can also be good.

Further, by forming a sound insulation flap on a rear member separate from the grommet body, it is possible to project a guide tube portion from a through hole for inserting a cable provided in the sound insulation flap. It is also possible to insert the cable in close contact with the tube portion. Thereby, the sealing degree of a sound insulation air layer can be raised and the sound insulation of a grommet can be improved further.

1 to 5 show a grommet 10 according to a first embodiment of the present invention.
The grommet 10 is an integrally molded product made of rubber or elastomer. As shown in FIG. 1, the grommet 10 has a small-diameter cylindrical portion 11, a large-diameter cylindrical portion 12 continuous with one end of the small-diameter cylindrical portion 11, and the large-diameter cylindrical portion. 12 has a large-diameter cylindrical portion 13 that is continuous with the large-diameter side tip, and a closing wall portion 14 that projects from the inner peripheral surface of the distal end of the large-diameter cylindrical portion 13.
From the outer peripheral surface of the small-diameter cylindrical portion 11, a sound insulating flap 21 is provided so as to project in a conical shape toward the enlarged-diameter cylindrical portion 12. Further, a tape winding tongue piece 26 protrudes from the opening end of the small diameter cylindrical portion 11. On the outer peripheral surface of the large-diameter cylindrical portion 13, an annular vehicle body locking recess 25 that fits with the peripheral edge portion of the through hole 61 of the vehicle body panel 60 is provided.

A harness through hole 15 for inserting the wire harness 70 is provided in the center of the closed wall portion 14, and a small-diameter cylindrical portion 11, an enlarged-diameter cylindrical portion 12, a large-diameter cylindrical portion 13, and a harness penetration that are provided continuously. A hollow portion along the same axis of the hole 15 is used as a wire harness insertion passage 16. The small-diameter cylindrical portion 11 and the harness through hole 15 are configured to be tightly fitted to the outer peripheral surfaces of both ends of the wire harness 70 inserted through the wire harness insertion passage 16.

On the inner surface side of the enlarged diameter cylindrical portion 12 and the large diameter cylindrical portion 13, a cable insertion cylindrical portion 17 having an axial direction parallel to the axial direction of the grommet 10 is integrally projected. One end in the axial direction of the cable insertion tube portion 17 passes through the inclined wall portion 12a of the enlarged diameter tube portion 12 to form a vehicle compartment side cable through hole 18, and the other end passes through the closing wall portion 14. An outdoor cable through hole 19 is formed.

As shown in FIG. 2A, a curved slit 22 is provided at a position facing the vehicle compartment side cable through hole 18 of the sound insulating flap 21. A hollow portion along the same axis extending from the continuous outdoor cable through hole 19, the cable insertion tube portion 17, and the vehicle compartment side cable through hole 18 to the slit 22 is defined as a cable insertion passage 24.

As shown in FIG. 2B, the split end faces 22a and 22a of the slit 22 are cut into a V shape from the inner surface side to the outer surface side, which is the insertion side of the cable 71, so that the cable 71 can be easily inserted.
A plurality of annular grooves 20 are recessed in the inner peripheral surface of the cable insertion tube portion 17 at intervals in the axial direction.

A resin protective material 75 is externally fitted to a portion of the cable 71 that is inserted through the cable insertion tube portion 17. As shown in FIG. 1, the resin protective material 75 is made of a cylindrical elastic material having a through hole 76 through which the cable 71 is closely inserted, and is fitted to the annular groove 20 of the cable insertion tube portion 17 on the outer peripheral surface. A plurality of annular projections 77 are provided to project. The outer diameter D2 of the resin protective material 75 is set so that the relationship with the inner diameter D1 of the cable insertion tube portion 17 is D2 ≧ D1.

Next, a procedure for attaching the grommet 10 having the above configuration to the through hole 61 of the vehicle body panel 60 and inserting the cable 71 into the grommet 10 will be described.
First, the wire harness 70 is passed through the wire harness insertion passage 16 of the grommet 10, and the tape winding tongue 26 and the wire harness 70 are integrally wound with the tape 72 as shown in FIG. Position and fix to the harness 70.

Next, the grommet 10 in the above state is inserted into the through hole 61 from the engine room X side to the vehicle compartment Y side from the small diameter cylinder part 11 side, and as shown in FIG. The peripheral edge of the through hole 61 is dropped into the retaining recess 25, and the grommet 10 is locked in the through hole 61. In this state, the peripheral edge of the front end of the sound insulating flap 21 is brought into contact with the surface of the sound insulating material 62 laminated on the vehicle body panel 60 in a state where the through hole 63 is closed. By this contact, a sound insulating air layer S1 surrounded by the sound insulating flap 21, the enlarged diameter cylindrical portion 12, and the sound insulating material 62 is formed.

Next, as shown in FIG. 3C, the cable 71 is inserted into the through hole 76 of the resin protective material 75, and the resin protective material 75 is externally fitted to a required portion of the cable 71. The cable 71 in this state is inserted from the outdoor cable through hole 19 of the grommet 10 into the cable insertion tube portion 17 and is passed through the vehicle compartment side cable through hole 18. Thereafter, the slit 22 of the sound insulating flap 21 is further passed through and pulled out toward the passenger compartment Y side, and the resin protective material 75 is inserted into the cable insertion tube portion 17 as shown in FIG. And the annular groove 20 of the cable insertion cylinder part 17 are fitted, and the resin protective material 75 is positioned and inserted into the cable insertion cylinder part 17.

The grommet 10 having the above configuration is provided with the slit 22 for allowing the cable 71 to pass through at a position of the sound insulating flap 21 facing the vehicle interior side cable through hole 18 of the enlarged diameter cylindrical portion 12. The flap 21 can be projected from the outer peripheral surface of the small-diameter cylindrical portion 11 so as to cover the vehicle compartment side cable through hole 18. Therefore, since the sound insulation air layer S1 can be widely secured from the outer peripheral surface of the small-diameter cylindrical portion 11 to the tip peripheral portion of the sound insulation flap 21 even at a portion intersecting with the cable insertion passage 24, the sound insulation performance is improved. Can do.

Moreover, since the hole provided in the sound insulation flap 21 for the insertion of the cable 71 is the curved slit 22, as shown in FIGS. 5A and 5B, the slit 22 is expanded by the insertion of the cable 71. At the same time, both side portions 23, 23 of the slit 22 can be brought into close contact with the outer peripheral surface of the cable 71.
Furthermore, by attaching a resin protective material 75 to the cable 71 and inserting the resin protective material 75 into the cable insertion tube portion 17, as shown in FIG. The inner peripheral surface of the insertion tube portion 17 can be brought into close contact.
As a result, both end openings of the cable insertion passage 24, that is, both the slit 22 side and the cable insertion cylinder portion 17 side can be shielded, so that the sound insulation air layer S1 continuous with the cable insertion passage 24 is also sealed. Excellent sound insulation can be obtained.

One end in the axial direction of the cable insertion tube portion 38 passes through the inclined wall portion 34a of the enlarged diameter tube portion 34 to form a vehicle compartment side cable through hole 39, and the other end passes through the closing wall portion 36 to form a chamber. An outer cable through hole 40 is formed. A plurality of annular grooves 41a are recessed in the inner peripheral surface of the cable insertion tube portion 38 with an interval in the axial direction.

The retrofit member 32 is an integrally molded product made of rubber or elastomer. As shown in FIG. 6, the small-diameter cylindrical portion 43, the sound-insulating flap 44 projecting in a conical shape from the outer peripheral surface on one end side of the small-diameter cylindrical portion 43, and the inner peripheral surface of the sound-insulating flap 44, A cylindrical grommet main body abutting rib 45 is provided so as to project on the same axis as the portion 43.

As shown in FIG. 7, the retrofitting member 32 is connected to the distal end side of the small diameter cylindrical portion 33 so that the sound insulating flap 44 covers the small diameter cylindrical portion 33 and the enlarged diameter cylindrical portion 34 of the grommet body 31. . In this connected state, the grommet main body abutting rib 45 is fitted on the small diameter cylindrical portion 33 of the grommet main body 31, and the tip of the grommet main body abutting rib 45 contacts the outer peripheral surface of the enlarged diameter cylindrical portion 34 of the grommet main body 31. It is configured to touch.

The sound insulation flap 44 is provided with a cable through hole 46 at a position facing the vehicle compartment side cable through hole 39 of the grommet body 31 in the connected state. From the periphery of the flap-side cable through hole 46, a guide tube portion 47 projects from the passenger compartment-side cable through hole 39. The inner diameter D3 of the guide tube portion 47 is set to satisfy D3 ≦ D4 with respect to the inner diameter D4 of the vehicle compartment side cable through hole 39 of the grommet body 31.
On the inner peripheral surface of the guide tube portion 47, an annular groove 41b that fits into an annular projection 77 of a resin protective material 75 described later is provided.

As shown in FIG. 7, the grommet 30 having the above-described configuration includes a continuous harness through hole 37 of the grommet body 31, a large diameter cylindrical portion 35, a large diameter cylindrical portion 34, and a hollow portion of the small diameter cylindrical portion 33 in the connected state. The wire harness insertion passage 48 is formed by communicating with the hollow portion of the small diameter cylindrical portion 43 of the retrofitting member 32. The cable insertion passage 49 is formed by communicating the hollow portion of the cable insertion tube portion 38 of the grommet main body 31 with the hollow portion of the guide tube portion 47 and the flap-side cable through hole 46 of the retrofitting member 32. It is said.

The inner diameter of the small-diameter cylindrical portion 43 of the retrofit member 32 is set to a dimension that fits tightly to the outer peripheral surface of the wire harness 70. A tape-wrapped tongue piece 50 protrudes from the opening end of the small diameter cylindrical portion 43.

A resin protective material 75 is externally fitted to a portion of the cable 71 that is inserted through the cable insertion tube portion 38. The outer diameter D2 of the resin protective material 75 is set so that the relationship with the inner diameter D5 of the cable insertion tube portion 38 satisfies D2 ≧ D5. Other configurations of the resin protective material 75 are the same as those in the first embodiment.

Next, a procedure for attaching the grommet 30 having the above structure to the through hole 61 of the vehicle body panel 60 and inserting the cable 71 into the grommet 30 will be described.
First, the wire harness 70 is passed through the grommet body 31, and the grommet body 31 is positioned and fixed to the wire harness 70 by winding the small diameter cylindrical portion 33 and the wire harness 70 together with a tape 73 as shown in FIG. To do.

Next, the retrofitting member 32 is passed through the wire harness 70, and the grommet main body abutting rib 35 of the retrofitting member 32 is externally fitted to the small diameter cylindrical portion 33 of the grommet main body 31 as shown in FIG. The grommet main body abutting rib 35 is abutted against the outer peripheral surface of the enlarged diameter cylindrical portion 34 of the grommet main body 31, and the vehicle interior side cable through hole 39 of the grommet main body 31 and the guide cylinder of the retrofit member 32 are connected. In a state where the hollow portion of the portion 47 is communicated, the tape winding tongue piece 50 and the wire harness 70 of the retrofit member 32 are integrally wound with a tape 74 to position and fix the retrofit member 32 to the wire harness 70.

Next, the grommet 30 in the above state is inserted into the through hole 61 from the engine room X side to the vehicle compartment Y side from the small diameter cylindrical portion 43 side of the retrofitting member 32, and as shown in FIG. The peripheral edge portion of the through hole 61 is dropped into the vehicle body engaging recess 42 of the large diameter cylindrical portion 35, and the grommet 30 is engaged with the through hole 61. In this state, the front end peripheral portion of the sound insulation flap 44 of the retrofit member 32 is brought into contact with the surface of the sound insulation material 62 laminated on the vehicle body Y side of the vehicle body panel 60 in a state of closing the through hole 63. By this contact, the sound insulation air layer S2 surrounded by the sound insulation flap 44, the enlarged diameter cylindrical portion 34, and the sound insulation material 62 is formed.

Next, the cable 71 is inserted into the through hole 76 of the resin protective material 75, and the resin protective material 75 is externally fitted to a required portion of the cable 71. The cable 71 in this state is inserted from the outdoor cable through hole 40 of the grommet main body 31 into the cable insertion tube portion 38, penetrates the vehicle interior side cable through hole 39, and further protrudes from the sound insulating flap 44. As shown in FIG. 9, the annular projection 77 of the resin protective material 75 is inserted into the cable insertion tube portion 38 through the guide tube portion 47, through the flap side cable through hole 46, and pulled out to the vehicle compartment Y side. The resin protective material 75 is positioned and inserted into the cable insertion tube portion 38 and the guide tube portion 47 by being fitted in the ring-shaped groove 41 a and the annular groove 41 b of the guide tube portion 47.

Since the grommet 30 having the above-described configuration has the cable through hole 46 in the sound insulating flap 44, the sound insulating flap 44 is connected to the vehicle interior side cable through hole 39 of the grommet body from the outer peripheral surface of the small diameter cylindrical portion 43 of the retrofitting member 32. It can project so that it may cover. Therefore, since a large sound insulation air layer S2 can be secured inside the sound insulation flap 44 even at a portion intersecting with the cable insertion passage 49, excellent sound insulation can be provided.

Further, when the rear member 32 is connected, the grommet main body abutting rib 45 formed on the rear member 32 is abutted against the outer peripheral surface of the enlarged diameter cylindrical portion 34 of the grommet main body 31, thereby attaching the rear member 32 to the grommet. Sound insulation caused by the sound insulation air layer S2 being crushed too deeply into the main body 31 or by the sound insulation flap 44 being floated from the surface of the sound insulation material 62 laminated on the vehicle body panel 60 due to being too shallow. The formation failure of the air layer S2 can be prevented.

Further, since the sound insulation flap 44 is provided on the rear member 32 separate from the grommet body 31, the guide tube portion 47 can be projected from the peripheral edge of the cable through hole 46 of the flap 44. By forming the guide tube portion 47, the outer peripheral surface of the resin protective material 75 fitted on the cable 71 is brought into close contact with the inner peripheral surface of the guide tube portion 47, so that the gap between the flap-side cable through hole 46 and the cable 71 is maintained. It is possible to completely block even a slight gap.
Further, the resin protective material 75 fitted on the cable 71 is in close contact with the inner peripheral surface of the cable insertion tube portion 38 of the grommet body 31.
By these, since the opening part of the both ends of the cable insertion path 49 can be sealed reliably, the airtightness of the said sound insulation air layer S2 continuing to this cable insertion path 49 also improves, and sound insulation property can be improved.
