Claims (4)
- 印刷媒体を搬送する搬送路と、
この搬送路によって搬送される前記印刷媒体の搬送方向に沿う厚さの変化を検出する検出手段と、
この検出手段によって厚さの変化が検出された前記印刷媒体の一面側に情報を印字する第1の印字部、及び前記印刷媒体の他面側に情報を印字する第2の印字部を有し、前記第1及び第2の印字部が、前記搬送路を介して対向配置されるプラテン及び該プラテンに対し離間する方向に弾性的に付勢された印字ヘッドからからなる印刷手段と、
複数個のカム、これら複数個のカムによって回動される複数本のカムアーム、これらカムアームの回動端側にそれぞれ取り付けられた押圧ピン、及びこれら押圧ピンを弾性的に付勢して前記印字ヘッドの背面側を加圧することにより該印字ヘッドを前記プラテンに圧接させる付勢部材とを有する加圧手段と、
前記検出手段によって検出された厚さ情報に基づいて前記加圧手段の前記カムの回動量を個別に所定範囲内で可変制御することにより、前記印字ヘッドの背面側を押圧する押圧ピンの本数を可変して前記プラテンに対する前記印字ヘッドの圧接力を調整し、或いは前記厚さ情報に基づくことなく、前記カムの回動量を前記所定範囲より大きく可変制御することにより、前記印字ヘッドを前記プラテンから退避させる制御手段と
を具備することを特徴とする印刷装置。 - 前記制御手段は、前記検出手段によって検出された印刷媒体の厚さが薄い場合には、前記プラテンに対する前記印字ヘッドの圧接力を強く、検出された印刷媒体の厚さが厚い場合には、前記プラテンに対する前記印字ヘッドの圧接力を弱くなるように制御することを特徴とする請求項1記載の印刷装置。
- 前記印字媒体は、その搬送方向に沿って所定間隔を存して配設される無線タグと、この無線タグをシールするシール材とを備えるラベル紙であることを特徴とする請求項1または2記載の印刷装置。
- 前記第1及び第2の印字部は、回動自在に支持され、前記印字ヘッドを取り付けるヘッド支持板を有することを特徴とする請求項1ないし3の何れか一項記載の印刷装置。
