Description

The present invention relates to an attachment / detachment tool for attaching / detaching an optical connector plug to / from a mounted object such as an adapter or an optical module.

An optical fiber can be connected with a simple operation using an optical connector. Known types of optical connectors include, for example, SC connectors (see Non-Patent Document 1), MU connectors (see Non-Patent Document 2), and LC connectors (see Non-Patent Document 3). The MU connector and the LC connector are smaller in size than the SC connector. The optical connector is used, for example, in a wiring board in which adapters are installed at a high density, and optical fibers are connected to the wiring board at a high density. In a wiring board on which adapters are mounted with high density, optical fibers are also wired with high density. Except for optical fibers wired at high density, it is necessary to remove a predetermined plug from the adapter mounted at high density or insert the plug into the predetermined adapter. However, when a small-sized optical connector is mounted at a high density, it is difficult to attach and detach the plug directly by hand. In addition, when a hand contacts a plug adjacent to a predetermined plug to be attached or detached, there is a possibility that the connection characteristics of the adjacent plug are deteriorated. Therefore, a tool for attaching / detaching a plug has been developed for the MU connector (see, for example, Patent Document 1). In the MU connector, the knob slides with respect to the plug frame. In the MU connector, the plug and the adapter are connected by fitting the pair of protrusions of the plug frame with the pair of elastic claws of the adapter. By sliding the knob with respect to the plug frame, the fitting between the protrusion of the plug frame and the locking piece of the adapter can be released. The MU connector attaching / detaching tool has a pair of claws for holding the knob. When the claw of the detachable tool grips the knob, the knob can be slid with respect to the plug frame by sliding the claw with respect to the tool body. Therefore, the connection between the plug and the adapter can be released simply by sliding the claw relative to the tool body without moving the tool body. By using the MU connector attaching / detaching tool, the attaching / detaching operation can be performed without directly grasping the plug of the MU connector by hand. As an effect thereof, the possibility of touching other than a predetermined plug to be attached / detached becomes low, and a highly reliable attaching / detaching operation becomes possible.

光コネクタはSFP(Small form Factor Pluggable)等の光モジュールのインターフェイスとしても使用されている。 The optical connector is also used as an interface of an optical module such as SFP (Small Form Factor Pluggable). An LC connector is often used as an interface of the optical module. In the LC connector, the connection is made by fitting the elastic claw provided on the plug with the locking groove of the adapter or the optical module. When removing the plug from the adapter or the optical module, the elastic claw is pushed down to the plug body side to release the fitting with the locking groove of the adapter or the optical module. Since a communication network uses a device in which optical modules are mounted with high density, the LC connector plugs may be mounted in high density. Even in the LC connector, when the plug is mounted with high density and the operator directly attaches and detaches the plug with the hand, the hand contacts the plug adjacent to the predetermined plug to be attached and the connection characteristics of the adjacent plug are There is a possibility of deteriorating. Therefore, even in an LC connector having a structure different from that of the MU connector, it is necessary to realize a tool for attaching / detaching a predetermined plug from the adapter or the optical module in a state where the plugs are mounted with high density. The MU connector can be detached from the adapter or the optical module by sliding the knob with respect to the plug frame. That is, it can be attached / detached by moving a claw that grips the knob in the attaching / detaching tool along the longitudinal direction of the plug. On the other hand, the LC connector needs to push down the elastic claw toward the plug body, and in order to attach or detach the plug, it is necessary to operate the plug in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the plug. Therefore, the structure of the attachment / detachment tool for the MU connector cannot be applied to the attachment / detachment tool for the LC connector.

The present invention has been made to solve the above problems, and an object of the present invention is to an adapter or an optical module of an optical connector plug of a type in which a connection is made by an elastic claw of the plug being locked to the adapter or the optical module. And a tool main body having a support portion that movably supports an optical connector plug that is attached to and detached from the mounted body through the tip portion, and is slidable in the attaching / detaching direction of the optical connector plug, and a predetermined amount An operation member supported by the tool body so as to be tiltable about a support shaft, the operation member being formed on one side with respect to the predetermined support shaft in the longitudinal direction thereof, and the predetermined member A contact portion that can contact the optical connector plug supported by the support portion by tilting about the support shaft, and the contact portion of the operation member elastically deforms the elastic claw by tilting the operation member. Optical connector The optical connector plug is moved in the mounting direction by moving the operating member in the mounting direction, and the optical member is moved in the detaching direction by moving the operating member in the detaching direction. The optical connector plug is configured to be able to be moved in the detaching direction by being engaged with an elastic claw of the connector plug.

Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
1 to 3 are views showing a detachable tool according to an embodiment of the present invention. This detachable tool includes a tool body 2, an operation member 4, a slide member 6, and a leaf spring 10 as an urging means. This attaching / detaching tool is used for attaching / detaching a so-called LC connector plug 200 as shown in FIG. The LC connector plug 200 shown in FIG. 6 includes an elastic claw 201 to which a cable 202 is connected and can be locked to an adapter.

The tool body 2 is formed of a cylindrical member having an accommodation space 21 for accommodating the LC connector plug 200, with the front end portion 20A opened and the rear end portion 20B closed. The accommodation space 21 is demarcated by two side portions 22, an upper surface portion 23, and a bottom surface portion 24 as a support portion. An insertion port 25 for inserting the LC connector plug 200 into the accommodation space 21 is formed in one of the two side surface portions 22 up to the distal end portion 20A along the longitudinal direction. As shown in FIGS. 1 and 3, guide grooves 27 are respectively formed in the longitudinal direction on the surfaces of the two side surface portions 22 facing each other. In the upper surface portion 23, an opening portion 26 is formed from the middle in the longitudinal direction to the distal end portion 20 </ b> A so that the slide member 6 can be moved and the operation member 4 can access the accommodation space 21.

As shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, the slide member 6 has a rectangular outer shape and includes insertion holes 61 for inserting the operation member 4 therein, and the guide grooves described above are formed on both outer side surfaces thereof. The projections 62 are respectively formed so as to be respectively fitted to the 27. When the projection 62 is fitted in the guide groove 27 of the tool body 2, the slide member 6 is held so as to be movable in the longitudinal direction of the tool body 2, that is, in the attaching / detaching direction of the LC connector plug 200.

The operation member 4 is connected to the slide member 6 by a pin 8 as a support shaft in the middle of the longitudinal direction. The operation member 4 can tilt around the pin 8. The operation member 4 has a contact portion 41 that can contact the LC connector plug 200 supported on the bottom surface portion 24 of the tool main end 2 by tilting around the pin 8 on the distal end side in the longitudinal direction. On the end side, there is an operation unit 42 that is operated by an operator who attaches / detaches the LC connector plug 200.

As shown in FIG. 3, the contact portion 41 has a first protruding portion 41 </ b> A and a second protruding portion 41 </ b> B that protrude in the tilt direction around the pin 8, that is, toward the accommodation space 21. 41 A of 1st protrusion parts and the 2nd protrusion part 41B are arrange | positioned spaced apart in the longitudinal direction of the operation member 4, and the height from the base end of the 1st protrusion part 41A to a front-end | tip is a 2nd protrusion part. It is formed lower than the height from the proximal end to the distal end. 41 A of 1st protrusion parts play the role which the elastic claw 201 of LC connector plug and the front-end | tip part contact, and push down the elastic claw 201 to the plug main body side. Further, when the LC connector plug 200 is pulled out from the adapter, one side surface portion of the LC connector plug 200 is locked to the elastic claw 201. The second protrusion 41B comes into contact with the elastic claw 201 and one side surface when the LC connector plug 200 is inserted into the adapter.

The operation part 42 is bent upward with respect to the upper surface part 23 of the tool body 2 in order to improve the operability for the operator. The distance from the operation unit 42 to the pin 8 is set longer than the distance from the contact unit 41 to the pin 8.

The leaf spring 10 is provided between the slide member 6 and the operation member 4 so that the operation member 4 tilts in a direction in which the contact portion 41 of the operation member 4 faces the LC connector plug 200 supported by the bottom surface portion 24. A biasing force is applied to the operation member 4. That is, the leaf spring 10 gives the operating member 4 the force that the first and second projecting portions 41 </ b> A and 41 </ b> B are directed into the accommodation space 21.

Next, a procedure for attaching the LC connector plug 200 to the adapter using the detachable tool in the above configuration will be described with reference to FIG.
FIG. 4A shows a state before the LC connector plug 200 is attached to the adapter 100. 4A, the LC connector plug 200 is supported by the bottom surface portion 24 of the tool body 2, and the operation member 4 and the slide member 6 are in the retracted position. Further, the operation portion 42 of the operation member 4 is pressed down in the direction of B <b> 1 by the operator against the force of the leaf spring 10, and is disposed along the upper surface portion 23 of the tool body 2. Furthermore, the first protrusion 41 </ b> A located on the distal end side of the operation member 4 is in a state of being disposed above the elastic claw 201. As described above, since the distance from the operation unit 42 to the pin 8 is set to be longer than the distance from the contact unit 41 to the pin 8, the operation member 4 is shown in FIG. Can be in a state. Thereby, a detachable tool can be operated with one hand, and operativity improves.

From the state shown in FIG. 4A, as shown in FIG. 4B, the tip 20A of the tool body 2 is engaged with the tip of the adapter 100, and the tool body 2 is aligned with the adapter 100. . Further, the force in the B1 direction applied to the operation member 4 is released. Thereby, as shown in FIG. 4B, the operation member 4 tilts, and the first protrusion 41A pushes the elastic claw 201 to be elastically deformed. Further, from this state, the operation member 4 is advanced in the mounting direction A1.

When the operation member 4 is advanced in the mounting direction A1, as shown in FIG. 4C, the elastic claw 201 is elastically deformed by the first protrusion 41A, and the first protrusion 41A One side surface portion of the second protrusion 41B on the rear side engages with the tip portion of the elastic claw 201. Thereby, the LC connector plug 200 moves on the bottom surface portion 24 of the tool body 2 and is inserted into the adapter 100 through the tip portion 20A.

When the insertion of the LC connector plug 200 into the adapter 100 is completed, the operation portion 42 of the operation member 4 is pushed in the B1 direction against the force of the leaf spring 10, and the operation member 4 is substantially pushed onto the upper surface portion 23 of the tool body 2. Return to parallel position. Thereby, the engagement between the first protrusion 41A and the elastic claw 201 is released, and the elastic claw 201 is locked to the adapter 100 by the elastic force. That is, it is coupled to the adapter 100 of the LC connector plug 200 and locked by the elastic claw 201. Then, when the tool main body 2 is moved in the C1 direction and separated from the adapter 100, the attachment of the LC connector plug 200 to the adapter 100 is completed as shown in FIG.

Next, a procedure for detaching the LC connector plug 200 from the adapter using the above-described configuration using a detachable tool will be described with reference to FIG.
First, as shown to Fig.5 (a), 20 A of front-end | tip parts of the tool main body 2 are aligned with respect to the adapter 100 with which LC connector plug 200 was mounted | worn. At this time, the operation member 42 is pushed in the B1 direction against the force of the leaf spring 10 and the operation member is positioned so that the first protrusion 41A can be engaged with the elastic claw 201. 4 is placed in the forward position.

Next, the force in the B1 direction on the operation portion 42 of the operation member 4 is released. As a result, as shown in FIG. 5B, the operation member 4 is tilted by the restoring force of the leaf spring 10, and the tip of the first protrusion 41 </ b> A pushes the elastic claw 201 to be elastically deformed. Thereby, the latching state with respect to the adapter 100 of the elastic nail | claw 201 is cancelled | released. That is, the LC connector plug 200 is unlocked and can be detached from the adapter 100.
