【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、インターネット等の公衆網を介して所定の情報を提供し、この情報に基づく特典を付与する特典付与システムに関する。

【従来の技術】
従来より、商品等を販売する店舗においては、消費者が指定された割引価格で商品等を購入したり特定の商品等を無料で取得することができるクーポンを消費者に配布し、それにより、来店する客数を増加させる商法が行われている。

このような商法に用いられるクーポンは、ちらしとして配布されたり、雑誌等のように消費者が購入する商品に添付されたりして消費者に配布される。クーポンを取得した消費者は、このクーポンを持参して店舗に出向き、店舗においてクーポンに記載された割引や無料提供等の特典を受けることになる。

近年、インターネットやパソコンの急速な普及に伴い、上述したようなクーポンをインターネットを介して消費者に配布する方法が行われている。

インターネットを介してのクーポンの配布においては、商品等を提供する店舗が運営するサイト内に予めクーポンを掲載しておく。消費者は、パソコン等を用いて店舗が運営するサイトにアクセスし、クーポンをパソコン等の画面上に表示させ、クーポンの内容を確認し、その後、このクーポンをプリントアウトして店舗に持参する。店舗においては、消費者がクーポンを提示することにより、クーポンに記載された割引や無料提供等の特典が消費者に与えられることになる。また、携帯端末を用いた場合は、クーポンをプリントアウトせず、携帯端末の画面上にクーポンを表示させ、店舗においてこの画面を提示することによりクーポンに記載された特典が消費者に与えられることになる。

ここで、商品等を販売する店舗においては、予め会員登録された特定の顧客のみに会員特典を付与するためにクーポンを配布する場合がある。

このような特定の顧客のみへのクーポンの配布をインターネットを介して行う場合は、まず、特定の顧客のみがアクセス可能なサイト上に上述したようなクーポンを掲載しておき、このクーポンがサイト上に掲載されていることを顧客に電子メール等の手段を用いて通知する。なお、この電子メールには、クーポンがサイト上に掲載されていることを示す情報の他に、クーポンが掲載されているサイトのＵＲＬが貼り付けられている。

その後、顧客が電子メールに貼り付けられたサイトのＵＲＬを指定すると、クーポンを含むサイトが顧客のパソコン等の画面上に表示される。ここで、顧客のパソコン等の画面上に表示されるサイトに含まれるクーポンには、クーポンによって顧客が受けることができる特典の内容の他に、顧客を識別可能な会員ＩＤ等の識別情報が記載されている。

顧客は、クーポンをプリントアウトして店舗に持参し、提示することにより、クーポンに記載された特典を受けることができる。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、上述したような従来の特典付与システムにおいては、顧客でない者が、サイト上に掲載されたクーポン等の情報を画像作成ソフト等を用いて偽造した場合、顧客でなくてもそのクーポンによる特典を受けることができてしまうという問題点がある。

ここで、プリントアウトされたクーポンの複写による不正使用は、クーポンに記載されたクーポンＩＤあるいは会員ＩＤによりクーポンの使用／未使用を管理すれば、同一クーポンの複数回の利用を防止することができるが、上述したような画像作成ソフト等を用いた場合、クーポンＩＤや会員ＩＤはユニークに付与されているため、これらを画像作成ソフト等を用いて任意に入力すれば、そのクーポンＩＤや会員ＩＤが実在するものとなる可能性があり、これらが実在した場合であって、かつ、そのクーポンＩＤや会員ＩＤによって識別されるクーポンがまだ使用されていない場合、顧客以外の者であってもクーポンによる特典を受けることができてしまうという問題点がある。

本発明は、上述したような従来の技術が有する問題点に鑑みてなされたものであって、インターネットを介して配信される情報を用いた特典の不正授受を防止することができる特典付与システムを提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記目的を達成するために本発明は、
公衆網に接続可能に構成された複数の端末と、前記公衆網に接続可能に構成され、該公衆網を介して前記複数の端末に対して電子メールを用いて所定の情報を提供する情報提供手段と、前記所定の情報が提示された場合に該所定の情報に基づく特典を付与する特典付与手段とを少なくとも有し、前記情報提供手段が、前記所定の情報に該所定の情報を識別可能な第１の識別情報を視覚的に認識不可能な形態で埋め込み当該所定の情報を前記複数の端末に送信し、前記特典付与手段が、前記所定の情報が提示された場合に該所定の情報に前記第１の識別情報が埋め込まれているかどうかを判別し、前記所定の情報に前記第１の識別情報が埋め込まれている場合にのみ前記特典を付与する特典付与システムにおいて、
前記情報提供手段は、前記複数の端末から前記所定の情報が返信された場合に、返信されてきた前記所定の情報を当該所定の情報を識別可能な第２の識別情報と対応づけて格納しておき、前記公衆網に接続可能な端末から前記第２の識別情報が送信されてきた場合に、前記第２の識別情報に対応づけられた所定の情報に前記第１の識別情報が埋め込まれているかどうかを判別し、前記所定の情報に前記第１の識別情報が埋め込まれている場合に当該所定の情報を前記端末に送信し、
前記端末は、前記情報提供手段から送信されてきた所定の情報に基づく印刷物を印字出力し、
前記特典付与手段は、前記端末にて印字出力された印刷物に記載された情報に基づく特典を付与することを特徴とする。

（作用）
上記のように構成された本発明においては、情報提供手段から所定の情報が公衆網を介して複数の端末に送信され、複数の端末のユーザが、情報提供手段から送信されてきた所定の情報を特典付与手段に提示すると、特典付与手段において、提示された所定の情報に基づく特典がユーザに付与される。ここで、情報提供手段から複数の端末に送信される所定の情報には、該所定の情報を識別可能な第１の識別情報が視覚的に認識不可能な形態で埋め込まれており、特典付与手段においては、所定の情報が提示された際、所定の情報に第１の識別情報が埋め込まれているかどうかが判別され、所定の情報に第１の識別情報が埋め込まれている場合にのみユーザに特典が付与される。

また、所定の情報が記録媒体に書き込まれ、この記録媒体から所定の情報を読み取る端末において、記録媒体から所定の情報が読み取られた際に、所定の情報に第１の識別情報が埋め込まれているかどうかが判別され、所定の情報に第１の識別情報が埋め込まれている場合にのみ、読み取った所定の情報に基づく印刷物が印字出力され、この印刷物が特典付与手段に提示された場合にユーザに特典が付与される。

また、情報提供手段から送信された所定の情報が複数の端末にて返信された場合は、情報提供手段において、複数の端末から返信されてきた所定の情報が当該所定の情報を識別可能な第２の識別情報と対応づけて格納され、その後、公衆網に接続可能な端末から第２の識別情報が送信されてきた場合に、第２の識別情報に対応づけられた所定の情報に第１の識別情報が埋め込まれているかどうかが判別され、所定の情報に第１の識別情報が埋め込まれている場合にのみ当該所定の情報が端末に送信され、端末において、情報提供手段から送信されてきた所定の情報に基づく印刷物が印字出力される。その後、この印刷物が特典付与手段に提示された場合にユーザに特典が付与される。

このように、ユーザが特典付与手段にて特典を授受するために情報提供手段から送信する所定の情報に、該所定の情報を識別可能な第１の識別情報が視覚的に認識不可能な形態で埋まれており、所定の情報に第１の識別情報が埋め込まれている場合にのみ所定の情報に基づく特典がユーザに付与されるので、所定の情報が送信されていないユーザ等が所定の情報を偽造して特典を不正に授受することが防止される。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下に、本発明の実施の形態について図面を参照して説明する。

（第１の実施の形態）
図１は、本発明の特典付与システムの第１の実施の形態を示す図であり、電子メールを用いて特定の消費者にクーポン情報を提供し、利用者がこのクーポン情報をＩＣカードに書き込み、このＩＣカードを用いて所定の特典を受けるシステムの一例を示す。

本形態は図１に示すように、消費者となるユーザが操作し、インターネット５０に接続可能な複数のユーザ端末１０−１〜１０−ｎと、インターネット５０に接続可能な情報読取手段である端末２１−１〜２１−Ｎを具備し、ユーザ端末１０−１〜１０−ｎを操作するユーザに商品等を提供する特典付与手段である店舗２０−１〜２０−Ｎと、店舗２０−１〜２０−Ｎを管理するとともに、ユーザ端末１０−１〜１０−ｎのユーザに対して店舗２０−１〜２０−Ｎにて利用可能なクーポンを提供し、また、該クーポンに関する情報を保有する企業３０と、企業３０からユーザ端末１０−１〜１０−ｎのユーザに提供されるクーポンに関する情報を保有し、該クーポン情報をインターネット５０を介して電子メールでユーザ端末１０−１〜１０−ｎに送信する情報提供手段である管理業者４０と、ユーザ端末１０−１〜１０−ｎとそれぞれ接続され、管理業者４０からインターネットを介してユーザ端末１０−１〜１０−ｎに電子メールで送信されてきたクーポン情報をＩＣカードに書き込む情報書込機１１−１〜１１−ｎとから構成されている。なお、本形態においては、１つの企業３０しか図示していないが、複数の企業がインターネット５０に接続され、管理業者４０において、これら複数の企業からユーザ端末１０−１〜１０−ｎのユーザに提供されるクーポンに関する情報を保有し、該クーポン情報をインターネット５０を介して電子メールでユーザ端末１０−１〜１０−ｎに送信する構成としてもよい。また、店舗２０−１〜２０−Ｎに設けられた端末２１−１〜２１−Ｎは、情報書込機１１−１〜１１−ｎにてクーポン情報が書き込まれたＩＣカードからクーポン情報を読み取る機能を有している。

また、管理業者４０には、ユーザ端末１０−１〜１０−ｎに電子メールで送信したクーポンに関する情報である、そのクーポンを発行した企業３０を識別するための発行企業ＩＤやクーポンの発行日、クーポン情報を送信した送信先の電子メールアドレス、クーポン情報を送信した送信先のユーザの識別番号や名前、ユーザに提供されたクーポンが使用された日時等が、クーポンを識別可能なクーポンＩＤに対応づけられて登録されているクーポン情報データベース４１と、クーポン情報データベース４１に登録されたクーポンに関する情報を用いてユーザ端末１０−１〜１０−ｎにインターネット３０を介してクーポン情報を電子メールで送信するとともに、端末２１−１〜２１−Ｎから送信された情報を受信するメールサーバ４２と、クーポン情報データベース４１に登録されたクーポンに関する情報を用いて、ユーザ端末１０−１〜１０−ｎに提供するクーポンが記載されたＨＴＭＬ（Hyper Text Markup Language）形式で表現される電子メールを作成し、また、メールサーバ４２にて受信された情報を用いて情報管理を行う情報管理部４３とが設けられている。なお、情報管理部４３にて作成された電子メールがメールサーバ４２によってインターネット５０を介してユーザ端末１０−１〜１０−ｎに送信される。

また、企業３０には、ユーザ端末１０−１〜１０−ｎに電子メールで送信したクーポンに関する情報である、企業３０を識別するための発行企業ＩＤやクーポンの発行日、クーポン情報を送信した送信先の電子メールアドレス、クーポン情報を送信した送信先のユーザの識別番号や名前等のユーザに関する情報や、ユーザに提供されたクーポンが使用された日時等が、クーポンを識別可能なクーポンＩＤに対応づけられて登録されているクーポン情報データベース３１と、端末２１−１〜２１−Ｎから送信された電子メールを受信するメールサーバ３２と、メールサーバ３２にて受信された電子メールに記載された情報を用いて情報管理を行う情報管理部３３とが設けられている。

以下に、上記のように構成された特典付与システムにおける情報提供方法について、店舗２０−１〜２０−Ｎにて所定の特典を受けることができるクーポン情報を管理業者４０からユーザ端末１０−１に送信し、ユーザ端末１０−１のユーザがこのクーポン情報をＩＣカードに書き込み、このＩＣカードを用いて店舗２０−１にて所定の特典を受ける場合を例に挙げて説明する。

図２は、図１に示した特典付与システムにおける情報提供方法を説明するためのフローチャートである。

まず、管理業者４０においては、情報管理部４３において、ユーザ端末１０−１〜１０−ｎのユーザが店舗２０−１〜２０−Ｎにて所定の特典を受けることができるクーポンが記載された電子メールがユーザ端末１０−１〜１０−ｎのユーザ毎に作成され、メールサーバ４２において、作成された電子メールが、クーポン情報データベース４１に登録された電子メールアドレスに従ってインターネット５０を介してユーザ端末１０−１〜１０−ｎに送信される（ステップＳ１）。ここで、管理業者４０にて作成され、ユーザ端末１０−１〜１０−ｎに送信される電子メールには、ユーザ端末１０−１〜１０−ｎのユーザが店舗２０−１〜２０−Ｎにて受けることができる特典の内容を示す情報が記載されているとともに、このクーポンを識別可能なクーポンＩＤが電子透かし情報として埋め込まれたクーポンが含まれている。このクーポンＩＤは、クーポン１枚１枚互いに異なるものである。

管理業者４０から送信された電子メールは、ユーザ端末１０−１〜１０−ｎにて受信され、画面上に表示される（ステップＳ２）。なお、以下の説明においては、ユーザ端末１０−１〜１０−ｎのうちユーザ端末１０−１を用いた処理についてのみ説明する。

図３は、図１に示した特典付与システムにおいて管理業者４０から送信され、ユーザ端末１０−１〜１０−ｎの画面上に表示される電子メールの一例を示す図である。

図３に示すように、本形態にてユーザ端末１０−１の画面上に表示された電子メールに記載されたクーポンには、ユーザ端末１０−１のユーザが特典を受けることができる店舗名や、商品の割引や無料サービス等の特典の内容や、そのクーポンの利用期間等の情報が記載されているとともに、そのクーポンを識別可能なクーポンＩＤが電子透かし情報として埋め込まれている。この電子透かし情報とは、音声データや画像データにデジタル的に埋め込まれる情報であって、音声データに埋め込まれるものにおいては、その音声データを聞くことのみでは認識することができず、また、画像データに埋め込まれるものにおいては、その画像データを見ることのみでは認識することができず、それぞれ専用の装置を用いた場合のみ認識することができるように構成されたものである。

また、この電子メールには、記載されたクーポン情報をＩＣカードに書き込む場合に指定するためのボタンが含まれており、このボタンを押下することにより、記載されたクーポン情報をユーザ端末１０−１に接続された情報書込機１１−１にてＩＣカードに書き込むことができる。

ユーザ端末１０−１のユーザがこのクーポンをＩＣカードに書き込んでこのＩＣカードを使用して店舗２０−１にてクーポンに掲載された特典を受けようとする場合は、ユーザ端末１０−１のユーザは、ユーザ端末１０−１の画面上に表示された、クーポン情報をＩＣカードに書き込むためのボタンを押下し、それにより、ユーザ端末１０−１に接続された情報書込機１１−１において、ユーザ端末１０−１の画面上に表示されたクーポン情報がＩＣカードに書き込まれる（ステップＳ３）。なお、この際、ＩＣカードには、ユーザ端末１０−１の画面上に表示されたクーポン情報の他にこのクーポンに電子透かし情報として埋め込まれているクーポンＩＤも書き込まれる。

その後、ユーザ端末１０−１のユーザが、クーポン情報が書き込まれたＩＣカードを店舗２０−１に持参する。

店舗２０−１においては、店舗２０−１内に設けられた端末２１−１において、ユーザ端末１０−１のユーザが持参したＩＣカードからクーポン情報が読み取られ（ステップＳ４）、読み取られたクーポン情報に、電子透かし情報としてクーポンに埋め込まれているべきクーポンＩＤが含まれているかどうかが判別され（ステップＳ５）、クーポンＩＤが含まれている場合のみ、クーポンに掲載された特典がユーザに付与される（ステップＳ６）。なお、店舗２０−１〜２０−Ｎにおいては、ユーザが特典を受けるためのクーポンに関する情報や、有効となるクーポンＩＤ等の情報が、予め管理業者４０から通知され、端末２１−１〜２１−Ｎにそれぞれ登録されている。また、クーポンＩＤとともに、店舗２０−１にてユーザに付与する特典を示すためのＰＯＳコード等の情報を電子透かし情報としてクーポン情報に埋め込んでおくことも考えられる。

また、端末２１−１にて読み取られたクーポンＩＤは、インターネット５０を介して管理業者４０に送信される（ステップＳ７）。また、端末２１−１にて読み取られたクーポンＩＤがインターネット５０を介して管理業者４０に送信される際、店舗２０−１を識別可能な情報や、クーポンが使用された日時等も端末２１−１から管理業者４０に送信される。

端末２１−１から送信された情報は管理業者４０内のメールサーバ４２にて受信され（ステップＳ８）、その後、情報管理部４３において、メールサーバ４２にて受信された情報に基づいて、クーポンＩＤによって識別されるクーポンが店舗２０−１にて使用したことが認識され、クーポンに関する情報として管理される（ステップＳ９）。ここで、管理業者４０が保有するクーポン情報データベース４１においては、クーポンＩＤと対応づけて該クーポン情報を送信した送信先のユーザの識別番号や名前等のユーザに関する情報が登録されているため、管理業者４０においては、どのようなユーザがどのような種類のクーポンを使用したかを把握することができる。

また、ステップＳ４において端末２１−１にてＩＣカードから読み取られたクーポン情報に、電子透かし情報としてクーポンに埋め込まれているべきクーポンＩＤが含まれていない場合は、ＩＣカードに書き込まれたクーポンが使用不可能であることが端末２１−１の画面上に表示される（ステップＳ１０）。

なお、上述した実施の形態においては、端末２１−１にてＩＣカードから読み取られたクーポン情報に、電子透かし情報としてクーポンに埋め込まれているべきクーポンＩＤが含まれているかどうかが端末２１−１にて判別されているが、端末２１−１にてＩＣカードに書き込まれたクーポン情報を読み取り、読み取ったクーポン情報を管理業者４０に送信し、管理業者４０において、クーポン情報に、電子透かし情報としてクーポンに埋め込まれているべきクーポンＩＤが含まれているかどうかを判別する構成としてもよい。

また、管理業者４０からユーザ端末１０−１に送信されるクーポン情報に、企業３０の電子メールアドレスを電子透かし情報として埋め込んでおき、端末２１−１にて読み取られたクーポンＩＤを、クーポン情報に埋め込まれた電子メールアドレスに従ってインターネット５０を介して企業３０に送信し、企業３０にて、管理業者４０と同様のクーポン管理を行うことも考えられる。その場合、企業３０において、クーポンの利用状況をリアルタイムで把握することができる。

図４は、本発明の特典付与システムの第２の実施の形態を示す図であり、電子メールを用いて特定の消費者にクーポン情報を提供し、利用者がこのクーポン情報を街頭端末にてプリントアウトし、プリントアウトしたクーポンを用いて所定の特典を受けるシステムの一例を示す。

本形態は図４に示すように、消費者となるユーザが操作し、インターネット５０に接続可能な複数のユーザ端末１０−１〜１０−ｎと、インターネット５０に接続可能な端末１２１−１〜１２１−Ｎを具備し、ユーザ端末１０−１〜１０−ｎを操作するユーザに商品等を提供する店舗１２０−１〜１２０−Ｎと、店舗１２０−１〜１２０−Ｎを管理するとともに、ユーザ端末１０−１〜１０−ｎのユーザに対して店舗１２０−１〜１２０−Ｎにて利用可能なクーポンを提供し、また、該クーポンに関する情報を保有する企業３０と、企業３０からユーザ端末１０−１〜１０−ｎのユーザに提供されるクーポンに関する情報を保有し、該クーポン情報をインターネット５０を介して電子メールでユーザ端末１０−１〜１０−ｎに送信する管理業者１４０と、インターネット５０に接続可能に構成され、所定の情報が入力された場合に該情報をインターネット５０を介して管理業者１４０に送信するとともに、管理業者１４０から送信されてきたクーポン情報を印字出力する印刷物発行手段である街頭端末６０とから構成されている。なお、本形態においては、１つの企業３０しか図示していないが、複数の企業がインターネット５０に接続され、管理業者１４０において、これら複数の企業からユーザ端末１０−１〜１０−ｎのユーザに提供されるクーポンに関する情報を保有し、該クーポン情報をインターネット５０を介して電子メールでユーザ端末１０−１〜１０−ｎに送信する構成としてもよい。

また、管理業者１４０には、ユーザ端末１０−１〜１０−ｎに電子メールで送信したクーポンに関する情報である、そのクーポンを発行した企業３０を識別するための発行企業ＩＤやクーポンの発行日、クーポン情報を送信した送信先の電子メールアドレス、クーポン情報を送信した送信先のユーザの識別番号や名前、ユーザに提供されたクーポンが使用された日時等が、クーポンを識別可能なクーポンＩＤに対応づけられて登録されているクーポン情報データベース４１と、クーポン情報データベース４１に登録されたクーポンに関する情報を用いてユーザ端末１０−１〜１０−ｎにインターネット３０を介してクーポン情報を電子メールで送信するとともに、ユーザ端末１０−１〜１０−ｎ、端末２１−１〜２１−Ｎあるいは街頭端末６０から送信された情報を受信するメールサーバ１４２と、ユーザ端末１０−１〜１０−ｎから送信された返信メールが登録される受信メールデータベース１４４と、クーポン情報データベース４１に登録されたクーポンに関する情報を用いて、ユーザ端末１０−１〜１０−ｎに提供するクーポンが記載されたＨＴＭＬ形式で表現される電子メールを作成するとともに、街頭端末６０から送信された情報に基づいて受信メールデータベース４１から該情報に対応する返信メールを抽出し、該返信メールに含まれているクーポン情報に電子透かし情報としてクーポンＩＤが埋め込まれているかどうかを判別し、また、メールサーバ１４２にて受信された情報を用いて情報管理を行う情報管理部１４３とが設けられている。なお、情報管理部１４３にて作成された電子メールがメールサーバ１４２によってインターネット５０を介してユーザ端末１０−１〜１０−ｎに送信される。
