Description

The present invention relates to a mobile communication terminal and a terminal control method in the mobile communication terminal.

In a mobile communication network, the following processing is performed when a wireless connection is established between a mobile communication terminal and a base station. The mobile communication terminal transmits a radio connection request (RRC CONNECTION REQUEST) to the base station, and receives a response (RRC CONNECTION SETUP) transmitted from the base station in response to the radio connection request. Thereafter, the mobile communication terminal transmits a connection completion notification (RRC CONNECTION SETUP COMPLETE) to the base station in response to the response, thereby establishing a wireless connection. Normally, when there is no response from the base station, the wireless connection request is retransmitted a plurality of times.

In addition, when the mobile communication terminal detects the deterioration of the strength (reception level) of the radio wave from the base station with which it is communicating, which base station should it communicate with based on the strength of the radio wave from another base station, etc. Judgment is made, and the base station of the communication partner is switched, that is, cell transition (CELL RESELECTION) is performed (see, for example, Patent Document 1 below).
JP 2004-159304 A

However, after the mobile communication terminal transmits a wireless connection request, if the strength of the radio wave from the base station of the communication partner is deteriorated to the extent that wireless communication becomes impossible and the cell transition destination is not detected, The mobile communication terminal cannot retransmit the wireless connection request. Normally, the mobile communication terminal is in a so-called deadlock state in which the operation in such a case is not defined and the wireless connection request cannot be transmitted and the processing of the wireless connection request cannot be completed.

The present invention has been made to solve the above-described problems, and can prevent a deadlock state even when a base station to be a communication partner is absent after transmitting a wireless connection request. An object of the present invention is to provide a mobile communication terminal and a terminal control method.

In order to achieve the above object, a mobile communication terminal according to the present invention is a mobile communication terminal that performs processing related to a radio connection request to a base station, and calculates a time from when the radio connection request is transmitted to the base station. Measure and send a retransmission timer with a preset expiration value, measure the time since the wireless connection request was transmitted to the base station , and set a termination timer with a preset expiration value and a wireless connection request. Control means for controlling such processing, the control means does not receive a response to the wireless connection request, the time measured by the retransmission timer is an expiration value, and information is transmitted to any base station. If the wireless connection request is retransmitted, the response to the wireless connection request is not received, the wireless connection request cannot be retransmitted, and the time measured by the end timer reaches the expiration value Wireless connection required Cormorant line control to end the process according to, characterized in that.

In the mobile communication terminal according to the present invention, after a wireless connection request is transmitted, if a predetermined time elapses without establishing a wireless connection, the processing related to the wireless connection request is terminated. Therefore, according to the mobile communication terminal of the present invention, it is possible to prevent a deadlock state even when the base station to be a communication partner is absent after transmitting a wireless connection request.

By the way, the present invention can be described as an invention of a mobile communication terminal as described above, and can also be described as an invention of a terminal control method in the mobile communication terminal as follows. This is substantially the same invention only in different categories, and has the same operations and effects.

That is, the terminal control method according to the present invention is a terminal control method in a mobile communication terminal that performs processing related to a wireless connection request to a base station, and moves the time after transmitting the wireless connection request to the base station. A step of measuring by a retransmission timer provided in the communication terminal and having a preset expiration value, and a time after the wireless connection request is transmitted to the base station, an end timer having a preset expiration value provided in the mobile communication terminal And a control step for controlling a process related to the wireless connection request, in the control step, a response to the wireless connection request is not received, and the time measured by the retransmission timer is an expiration value, In addition, when information can be transmitted / received to / from any of the base stations, the wireless connection request is retransmitted and a response to the wireless connection request is not received. Feeding Cormorant line control of the time measured by the termination timer ends the process according to the wireless connection request when it becomes expired value can not, characterized in that.

In the present invention, after a wireless connection request is transmitted, if a predetermined time elapses without establishing a wireless connection, the processing related to the wireless connection request is terminated. Therefore, according to the present invention, it is possible to prevent a deadlock state even when the base station to be a communication partner is absent after transmitting the wireless connection request.

Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of a mobile communication terminal and a terminal control method according to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. In the description of the drawings, the same elements are denoted by the same reference numerals, and redundant description is omitted.

FIG. 1 shows a configuration of a mobile communication terminal 10 according to the present embodiment. In the present embodiment, the mobile communication terminal 10 is a mobile phone that can perform mobile communication. The mobile communication terminal 10 is specifically configured by hardware such as a CPU (Central Processing Unit), a memory, and a mobile communication module such as an antenna, and will be described below by operating them. Each function of the mobile communication terminal 10 is exhibited. As shown in FIG. 1, the mobile communication terminal 10 includes a transmission / reception unit 11, a mobile phone function unit 12, a mobile communication function unit 13, a storage unit 14, an end timer 15, and a control unit 16.

The transmission / reception unit 11 is connected to an antenna and is means for transmitting / receiving radio waves for mobile communication. The transmission / reception unit 11 also performs conversion between communication data and radio waves.

The mobile phone function unit 12 is connected to the transmission / reception unit 11 and serves as a mobile phone. For example, it is connected to hardware such as a microphone and a speaker, and voice input from the user is converted into communication data and transmitted to the transmission / reception unit 11, or communication data is received from the transmission / reception unit 11 and converted into voice. Output.

The mobile communication function unit 13 is connected to the transmission / reception unit 11, the mobile phone function unit 12, and the storage unit 14, and is a means for executing the mobile communication function of the mobile communication terminal 10. In the mobile communication terminal 10, mobile communication functions controlled by the mobile communication function unit 13 include establishment of a wireless connection and cell transition.

The establishment of the wireless connection is performed, for example, at the time of making a call for making a call or at the start of data communication, and is performed as follows. As shown in FIG. 2, first, the mobile communication function unit 13 sends a radio connection request (RRC CONNECTION REQUEST) to the base station 20 (generic name of the base stations 20 a and 20 b) constituting the mobile communication network via the transmission / reception unit 11. ) 31 is transmitted. The base station 20 that has received the wireless connection request 31 sends a response (RRC CONNECTION SETUP) 32 corresponding to the wireless connection request 31 to the mobile communication terminal 10 when wireless connection from the mobile communication terminal 10 is possible. Send. In the mobile communication terminal 10, the mobile communication function unit 13 receives the response 32 via the transmission / reception unit 11 and sends a connection completion notification (RRC CONNECTION SETUP COMPLETE) (not shown) to the base station 20 in response to the response 32. Transmit to establish a wireless connection. When the mobile communication function unit 13 transmits a wireless connection request to the base station 20, the mobile communication function unit 13 notifies the end timer 15 to that effect. In addition, when the wireless connection is established, the mobile communication function unit 13 notifies the end timer 15 to that effect.

When there is no response from the base station 20, the mobile communication function unit 13 retransmits the wireless connection request. The retransmission of the wireless connection request is performed by measuring the time after the mobile communication function unit 13 transmits (including retransmission) the wireless connection request using a retransmission timer (T300 in 3GPP (3rd Generation Partnership Project)). Retransmission is performed when (300 V in 3GPP) is reached. As the expiration value, for example, a time of about 2 to 3 seconds is set. Information on the number of times of retransmission of the wireless connection request is stored in the storage unit 14, and the mobile communication function unit 13 refers to the information when retransmitting the wireless connection request. The number of times of retransmission of the wireless connection request may be set in advance, or may be set as appropriate based on setting information included in the broadcast information from the base station 20 received by the mobile communication terminal 10. As the number of retransmissions, for example, a frequency of about 5 is set. As described above, the mobile communication function unit 13 is means for performing a series of processes related to a wireless connection request to the base station 20.

The cell transition is to change the base station 20 with which the mobile communication terminal 10 is a communication partner. Whether or not the cell transition is performed is determined by the mobile communication function unit 13 based on the strength (reception level) of radio waves of the notification information from the base station 20 received by the mobile communication terminal 10. For this determination, a cell transition determination threshold value stored in the storage unit 14 is used. For example, when the radio wave intensity of the migration destination cell 21 (base station 20) is stronger than the radio wave intensity of the migration source cell 21 (base station 20) and exceeds the cell migration judgment threshold, the cell migration is performed. It is determined to do. As shown in FIG. 2, for example, the mobile terminal 10 (the user who carried it) moves from the cell 21a of the base station 20a to the cell 21b of the base station 20b, and the radio waves from the base station 20b are transferred. This is done when the intensity of is higher than that from the base station 20a.

When the strength of the radio wave of the cell 21 in the service area becomes so weak that wireless communication is not possible, and the mobile communication terminal 10 cannot detect the cell 21 that is the cell transfer destination (receives the radio wave of the cell 21 other than the service area) If it is not possible, the mobile communication terminal 10 is in a state where it cannot transmit / receive information to / from the base station 20. In this state after transmitting the wireless connection request, the mobile communication terminal 10 is in a state where the wireless connection request cannot be retransmitted. In this case, the mobile communication function unit 13 is in a state of waiting for a response from the base station 20, and is in a state in which processing relating to the wireless connection request is continuing. In this state, since the mobile communication function unit 13 allocates the radio resource of the transmission / reception unit 11 to this process, another process becomes impossible, and the mobile communication terminal 10 enters a so-called deadlock state.

The storage unit 14 is a storage unit that stores information necessary for control by the mobile communication function unit 13. Specifically, for example, information such as the number of retransmissions of the wireless connection request, the expiration value of the retransmission timer, and the cell transition determination threshold value. These pieces of information are referred to by the mobile communication function unit 13 as necessary. In addition, the storage unit 14 stores information on the expiration value of the end timer 15. Information on the expiration value of the end timer 15 is referred to by the end timer 15.

The end timer 15 is a measuring unit that measures the time after the mobile communication function unit 13 transmits a wireless connection request to the base station 20. The measurement is started with a notification that a wireless connection request from the mobile communication function unit 13 has been transmitted as a trigger. The termination timer 15 refers to the expiration value information of the termination timer 15 stored in the storage unit 14 and notifies the control unit 16 when the time since the wireless connection request is transmitted reaches the expiration value. To do. The expiration value of the end timer 15 is a predetermined time from when the wireless connection request is transmitted until control for ending the process related to the wireless connection request is performed, and is set in advance or appropriately. Specifically, the expiration value of the end timer 15 is preferably set to about 10 seconds in consideration of the convenience of the user of the mobile communication terminal 10. In addition, upon receiving a notification that the wireless connection has been established from the mobile communication function unit 13, the end timer 15 stops measuring time. This is because when the wireless connection is established, it is not necessary to perform control to end the process related to the wireless connection request.

The control unit 16 terminates the process related to the wireless connection request when the time from the transmission of the wireless connection request is the expiration value of the end timer 15 and the wireless connection is not established by the wireless connection request. Control means for performing control. The end timer 15 is notified that the wireless connection has not been established and the time from the transmission of the wireless connection request has reached the expiration value of the end timer 15. Using the notification as a trigger, the control unit 16 causes the mobile communication function unit 13 to end the process related to the wireless connection request. Specifically, the control unit 16 controls the mobile communication function unit 13 to release radio resources and end the state of waiting for a response from the base station 20.

Subsequently, processing (terminal control method) executed by the mobile communication terminal 10 of the present embodiment will be described using the sequence diagram of FIG. This processing is performed, for example, by (1) the radio wave intensity of the cell 21 where the mobile communication terminal 10 is located is low, and (2) the position where the mobile communication terminal 10 cannot receive radio waves of other cells 21. Or when there is a situation.

First, in the mobile communication terminal 10, the mobile communication function unit 13 transmits a wireless connection request to the base station 20a via the transmission / reception unit 11 (S01). Transmission of this wireless connection request is triggered by the start of a call or data communication for making a call by a user operation. After transmitting the wireless connection request, the mobile communication function unit 13 starts measuring the time after the wireless connection request is transmitted by the retransmission timer. In addition, the mobile communication function unit 13 notifies the end timer 15 that the wireless connection request has been transmitted. Upon receiving the above notification from the mobile communication function unit 13, the end timer 15 starts measuring the time since the wireless connection request was transmitted (S02, measurement step).

Subsequently, when the strength (reception level) of the radio wave from the base station 20 that is the communication partner deteriorates to such an extent that wireless communication is impossible, in the mobile communication terminal 10, the mobile communication function unit 13 detects the deterioration of the reception level. Thus, wireless communication with the base station 20 becomes impossible (S03). In this state, the mobile communication terminal 10 cannot receive a response from the base station 20 that has transmitted the wireless connection request.

Subsequently, in the mobile communication terminal 10, the mobile communication function unit 13 performs a band search through the transmission / reception unit 11 in order to detect the cell 21 that is the cell transition destination. However, as described above, the mobile communication terminal 10 cannot receive the radio waves of other cells 21, and therefore cannot detect the cell 21 that is the cell transition destination (S04). Here, the mobile communication terminal 10 is in a state where wireless communication with any base station 20 is impossible. Here, even if the retransmission timer reaches the expiration value, the base station 20 to which the wireless connection request is retransmitted is absent, and the mobile communication terminal 10 cannot retransmit the wireless connection request.

When the expiration value of the end timer 15 has elapsed since the transmission of the wireless connection request, the end timer 15 notifies the control unit 16 to that effect (S05, measurement step, control step). Upon receiving the notification, the control unit 16 controls the mobile communication function unit 13 to end the process related to the wireless connection request (S06, control step). The mobile communication function unit 13 that has received the control ends the process related to the wireless connection request. When the process related to the wireless connection request is completed, the mobile communication terminal 10 enters a state where another process can be performed.

If the mobile communication terminal 10 receives a response to the wireless connection request from the base station 20 between the time when the wireless connection request is transmitted and the time when the termination timer 15 expires, the termination timer 15 stops measuring the time. Therefore, the control unit 16 is not notified, and the control unit 16 does not control the end of the process related to the wireless connection request.

As described above, according to the present embodiment, it is possible to prevent the mobile communication terminal 10 from entering a deadlock state even when the base station 20 serving as a communication partner is absent after transmitting a wireless connection request. Yes, another process can be performed.

In the present embodiment, the end timer 15 measures the time from the (first) transmission of the wireless connection request, but when the wireless connection request is retransmitted, it measures the time from the retransmission. Then, when the time reaches the expiration value, control for terminating the process related to the wireless connection request may be performed.

また、本実施形態は、移動通信端末10は、携帯電話機としたが、それ以外でも移動体通信を行うことができる端末、例えば、移動体通信機能を備えたPC(Personal Computer)やPDA(Personal Digital Assistance)でもよい。   In the present embodiment, the mobile communication terminal 10 is a mobile phone, but a terminal that can perform mobile communication other than that, such as a PC (Personal Computer) or PDA (Personal) having a mobile communication function. Digital Assistance).
