本発明は、たとえば、鉄道関係の駅において、通行者が投入する定期券を取込んで改札業務を自動的に行う自動改札装置に関する。

【従来の技術】
近年、鉄道などの交通機関の駅には、自動改札処理を行う自動改札装置および自動集札処理を行う自動集札装置が設置され始めている。このような自動改札装置および自動集札装置(以下、自動改集札装置と称する)では、投入された乗車券に記録されている磁気情報を読み取り、通行の可否を判定するとともに必要に応じて投入された乗車券に磁気情報の記録またはパンチなどの処理を施す。

さらに、このような自動改集札装置の中には、複数枚の乗車券の組み合わせ利用に対応できるものが提案されている。
乗車券の組み合わせ利用とは、例えば、定期乗車券と定期乗車券、または定期乗車券と普通乗車券などの二枚以上の乗車券の乗車区間を組み合わせて利用することである。

まず、前者、即ち乗換駅における改集札処理について説明する。

即ち、前記した複数枚対応の自動改集札装置で、乗換駅を起点または終点としたA社の乗車券と、乗換駅を終点または起点としたB社の乗車券とを受け取り、この両方の乗車券のデータを基にして乗車区間に不正がないかどうかなどをチェックし改集札処理が行われる。

次に、後者、即ち入出場チェックが施行された改集札処理について説明する。近年、乗車区間の不正を防止するために入出場チェックによる改集札処理が提案されている。

この入出場チェックによる改集札処理では、原則として入鋏処理が施された乗車券のみ出場を許可するというものである。
例えば、A駅ーB駅ーC駅の順に駅が存在するとする。このとき、B駅ーC駅間乗車可能な定期券を所持した乗客が、A駅ーB駅間乗車可能な普通乗車券を購入し、A駅から乗車しC駅で降車するとする。このとき、C駅での降車には、A駅で入鋏処理されたA駅ーB駅乗車可能な普通乗車券およびB駅ーC駅間乗車可能な定期券とが必要となる。つまり、C駅に設置された前記した複数枚対応の自動改集札装置では、A駅で入鋏処理されたA駅ーB駅乗車可能な普通乗車券およびB駅ーC駅間乗車可能な定期券を受け取り、これら普通乗車券および定期券のデータを基にして乗車区間の不正をチェックするとともに、入鋏処理が施されていることをチェックして改札処理が行われる。

複数枚対応の自動改集札装置における磁気処理・保留部では、磁気書込部前に保留部および乗車券媒体の表裏を統一する反転部が設けられる。
また、機能として、一般的に反転部はスイッチバック機構方式で、導入時・放出時の2タイプの位置制御が行われている。

自動改集札装置においては、磁気書込後、読取確認を行い、読取不良と判定された場合、主搬送路を逆搬送し、再度、磁気読取確認を行う“リトライ”機能を有し、搬送部全体あるいは磁気処理・保留部全体を、1個の駆動モータで制御するものがある。
この種の自動改集札装置で、リトライ動作が生ずると、磁気読取部・磁気書込部・保留部・反転部など全て逆搬送することとなる。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
従来技術で記した自動改集札装置において、反転部内に導入時の位置状態で保留されている乗車券媒体が保留されている状態で、先に磁気書込・磁気読取確認を行っている乗車券媒体が、磁気読取不良を起こし、リトライ動作を行うと、逆搬送となるため、反転部から搬送路へ飛び出してしまう。

このため、従来においては、乗車券媒体の導入、放出、保留時の3タイプの位置制御を行わなければならなず、制御系が複雑化するという不都合がある。
本発明は上記実情に鑑みなされたもので、保留部の位置制御を媒体の導入、放出時の2種類の位置制御で、逆駆動時における媒体の飛び出しを防止できるようにした自動改札装置を提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記課題を解決するため、請求項記載のものは、媒体を正逆方向に搬送する搬送手段と、この搬送手段により正方向に搬送される媒体の表裏を検出し、反転させるか否かを判別する判別手段と、前記搬送手段上に設けられ、前記媒体を収納する収納部を備え、前記判別手段にて媒体を反転させると判別したとき、前記搬送手段による正方向の搬送に沿い搬送される前記媒体を前記収納部の受取り位置にて導入し排出位置にて再度繰り出すことにより前記媒体を反転させる反転手段と、前記搬送手段上かつ前記反転手段の後段に設けられ、前記媒体に対して情報処理を施す情報処理手段と、この情報処理手段による処理が正しく行われなかったとき、前記搬送手段を逆方向に搬送し、かつ再度正方向に搬送して前記情報処理手段による前記媒体への情報処理を行わせる制御手段と、この制御手段により前記搬送手段が駆動され前記媒体が逆方向に搬送れたとき、前記反転手段内を排出位置側に制御し、収納されている前記媒体が前記搬送手段上に繰り出されることを防止する防止手段とを具備する。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、この発明の実施の形態について図面を参照して説明する。
図1は、この発明の一実施の形態に係る鉄道関係の駅に設置される入場業務や出場業務を行う自動改札装置の外観構成を概略的に示すものである。

この自動改札装置は、複数枚の乗車券媒体の組み合わせ利用に対応できるものである。
例えば、新幹線と在来線との乗換駅において、この乗換駅に設置されたこの発明の自動改集札装置は、この乗換駅を起点または終点とした在来線の乗車券と、この乗換駅を終点または起点とした新幹線の乗車券および特急券とを受け付け、これらのデータを基にして乗車区間に不正がないかどうかなどをチェックし改集札処理を行うことができる。

なお、上記した乗車区間の連続したような乗車券媒体を関連乗車券と称する。
自動改札装置1は、通常、2台1組として駅の改札口などに設置され、両者の間に通行者が通行する通路が形成される。

すなわち、入場業務や出場業務を行う自動改札装置の本体1によって構成されている。この本体1には、駅の改札口内つまり構内への入場時、あるいは駅の改札口内つまり構内からの出場時に、乗車券、定期券、ストアードフェアカード (SFカード)、回数券等が投入される投入口3、この投入口3で受入れたSFカード等を排出する排出口4がそれぞれ設けられている。投入口3の近傍には、定期券等の投入を阻止するためのシャッタ3a(図2に示す)、排出口4の近傍には、定期券T等の投入を阻止するためのシャッタ(図示しない)が設けられている。

前記情報処理手段の読取部が情報を読み取ることができないとき、前記第1の駆動手段を逆方向に駆動させて前記搬入用及び搬出用の走行部材を逆走行させるとともに、前記保留部を前記第2の駆動手段により、前記搬出用走行部材側に移動させることにより前記搬出用走行部材と前記第2の押圧部材とにより前記媒体を挾持し搬入方向に向かって搬送させる制御手段と、
