Description

【0001】

The cover 16 is made of a single piece of paper, and the cover 16 is stretched over a front cover 1402, a spine 1406, and a back cover 1404.
In the figure, reference numeral 18 denotes a band, and the band 18 is stretched over the lower portion of the cover 16.
[0007]
As shown in FIGS. 2 (A) and 2 (B), the first paper piece 20 has a base end 2002 on the back S side of the paper piece that is located immediately below the front cover 1402 among the paper pieces constituting the body 12. It is stuck and arranged.
The height of the first paper piece 20 in the vertical direction is the same as that of the main text 12.
The first paper piece 20 is formed longer than the paper piece constituting the main body 12 so as to protrude from the fore edge K of the book 10.
A cut line 24 that can be cut off in parallel with the back S (separable or easy to cut) is formed at a location near the back S of the first paper piece 20. This cut line 24 is constituted by perforations, for example.
[0008]
As shown in FIG. 2 (B), the second paper piece 22 is attached to a single piece of paper in the text 12 spaced in the thickness direction of the first paper piece 20 and the text 12. Yes. In the present embodiment, the second paper piece 22 has its base end 2202 attached to the spine S side of the paper piece that is located immediately above the back cover 1404 among the paper pieces constituting the body 12. The height of the second paper piece 22 in the vertical direction is formed with the same dimensions as the body 12, and the fore edge K side is formed to match the fore edge K of the body 12.
A cut line 26 that can be cut off parallel to the back S (separable or easy to cut) is formed at a location near the back S of the second paper piece 22. The cut line 26 is constituted by, for example, a perforation.
[0009]
Then, as shown in FIG. 2B, the paper piece portion of the text 12 sandwiched between the first paper piece 20 and the second paper piece 22 at the portion protruding from the small edge K of the first paper piece 20 is the small edge. It straddles on the K side, and the tip 20A of the first paper piece 20 is attached to a portion of the second paper piece 22 near the fore edge K.
Therefore, all the pages of the text 12 are sandwiched between the first paper piece 20 and the second paper piece 22 and closed.
Further, as shown in FIG. 1, when the book is viewed from the fore edge K side with the book 10 closed, the edge of each piece of paper constituting the body 12 is between the front cover 1402 and the back cover 1404. Only the intermediate portion 20B of the first paper piece 20 located on the fore edge K is visible.
[0010]
In the book 10 according to the present embodiment, when the book 10 is purchased and read, as shown in FIGS. 3A and 3B, the first and second paper pieces 20 and 22 are respectively cut along the cut lines 24 and 26, respectively. Disconnect from. In this case, since the cut lines 24 and 26 are provided, respectively, the first and second paper pieces 20 and 22 can be easily separated as compared with the case where the first and second paper pieces 20 and 22 are simply broken.
Further, even after the separation, the vertically long rectangular base ends 2002 and 2202 remain in the top-and-bottom direction in which the shape is arranged, and the appearance of the book 10 is not deteriorated.
In this way, by separating the first and second paper pieces 20 and 22 from the cut lines 24 and 26, respectively, the book 10 according to the embodiment becomes the same as the book in the conventional form, and the text 12 is opened. It becomes ready to read.
[0011]
Next, the manufacturing method of such a book is demonstrated.
Before stacking a large number of signatures, as shown in FIG. 4 (A), glue is applied to the paper piece 3002 of the signature 30 corresponding to the paper piece located immediately below the front cover 1402 among the paper pieces constituting the body 12. The first paper piece 20 is attached by sticking the back S side. Then, it is folded so that the fold line 20D is positioned in front of the fore edge K so that the tip 20A of the first paper piece 20 is not cut off during the three-way cutting.
Further, as shown in FIG. 4B, the back S side is pasted with glue on a paper piece 3202 of a signature 32 corresponding to a paper piece that is positioned immediately above the back cover 1404 among the paper pieces constituting the body 12. Then, the second paper piece 22 is attached.
[0012]
Then, a large number of signatures including such signatures 30 and 32 are overlapped by a collating machine, wrapped with a cover 14 with a binder, the spine S is bound, and three-way cutting is performed by a three-way cutting machine.
Next, the cover 16 is hung, the belt 18 is attached, and slips (sales cards) and postcards are thrown in.
Finally, the first paper piece 20 is folded back from the fold line 20D, and as shown in FIG. 4C, the first paper piece 20 and the second paper piece 20 are projected from the edge K of the first paper piece 20. The paper piece portion of the text 12 sandwiched between the paper pieces 22 is straddled on the fore edge K side, and the tip 20A of the first paper piece 20 is pasted on the portion near the fore edge K of the second paper piece 22 with glue, and the book 10 is completed. To do.
[0013]
According to the book 10 according to the first embodiment, when the book 10 is viewed from the heavens or the ground, the edges of each piece of the text 12 can be seen as before, but when the book 10 is viewed from the fore edge K side. The edges of each piece of paper in the body 12 are not visible, and only the intermediate portion 20B of the first piece of paper 20 is visible.
Therefore, a single body of the body 12 that cannot be opened by being wrapped with the first and second paper pieces 20 and 22 is located between the front cover 1402 and the back cover 1404, which is not in the conventional book. It can give a completely different impression, taste, and fun.
Therefore, particularly when the books 10 are piled up in a store at the storefront, it is extremely advantageous to attract the attention of consumers and increase the sales volume.
In this case, in particular, advertisements and advertisements of the contents of the main text 10 can be printed in advance on at least the intermediate portion 20B that can be seen in a closed state. This is extremely advantageous for further increasing the sales volume. Even if the intermediate portion 20B has a different color from the paper piece of the main body 12, or a different color from the cover 14, or a pattern or character, it draws the attention of the consumer and reduces the sales volume. This is extremely advantageous in increasing the number.
[0014]
Further, in the book 10 according to the first embodiment, all pages of the body 12 are sandwiched between the first paper piece 20 and the second paper piece 22, and the first paper piece 20 or the second paper piece 22 is not broken. As long as the text 12 cannot be read.
Therefore, it is possible to prevent the reading at the store without closing the whole with a transparent synthetic resin bag as in the prior art.
Further, by checking whether or not the first paper piece 20 or the second paper piece 22 is broken, it is possible to easily determine whether the book 10 is for sale or used, which is extremely advantageous in terms of book-off measures. It becomes.
[0015]
Next, a modification of the first embodiment will be described with reference to FIGS.
In the description of this modification and other embodiments, the same members as those in the first embodiment will be described with the same reference numerals.
In this modification, the positions of the cut lines 24 and 26 of the first and second paper pieces 20 and 22 are different from those of the above embodiment.
That is, as shown in FIGS. 5A and 5B, the first paper piece 20 has a base end 2002 whose back end is located immediately below the front cover 1402 among the paper pieces constituting the body 12. Although it is the same as that of the said embodiment in the point stuck and arrange | positioned by S side, the cut line 24 which can be cut off in parallel with the spine S is located near the fore edge K of the book 10. ing.
[0016]
Further, as shown in FIG. 5B, the second paper piece 22 is also attached to the back S side of the paper piece whose base end 2202 is located immediately below the back cover 1404 among the paper pieces constituting the text 12. Although it is the same as that of the above embodiment in that it is worn and disposed, a cut line 26 that can be cut in parallel with the spine S is provided near the fore edge K of the book 10.
Then, the portion of the first paper piece 20 that protrudes from the fore edge K spans the paper piece portion of the text 12 sandwiched between the first paper piece 20 and the second paper piece 22 on the fore edge K side, and the first paper piece 20 The tip 20 </ b> A of the second paper piece 22 is attached to a portion closer to the fore edge K than the cut line 26 of the second paper piece 22.
[0017]
Even with such a modification, the same operations and effects as those of the first embodiment can be obtained, and further, the following effects can be obtained with this modification.
As shown in FIGS. 6A and 6B, when the first and second paper pieces 20 and 22 are cut off from the cut lines 24 and 26, respectively, the cut lines 24 and 26 are formed as edges on the edge K side. The remaining paper pieces 2010 and 2210 are left.
Although the remaining paper pieces 2010 and 2210 are slightly smaller than the paper piece of the main text 12, the remaining paper pieces 2010 and 2210 are large enough to draw characters and pictures, and therefore, the remaining paper pieces 2010 and 2210 can be used as doors.
That is, the remaining paper pieces 2010 and 2210 function as a door by pre-printing the matters relating to the text 10, or advertisements, advertisements, pictures, patterns, etc. on the remaining paper pieces 2010 and 2210 in advance. This is advantageous for further increasing the product value.
When the remaining paper pieces 2010 and 2210 are used as doors in this way, the dimension between the back S and the fore edge K of the remaining paper pieces 2010 and 2210 is about half of the dimension between the back S and the fore edge K of the main body 12. Preferably, it has a value of ½, and more preferably ½ or more.
[0018]
Next, a second embodiment of the present invention will be described.
7A and 7B show a book according to the second embodiment. FIG. 7A shows a state where the book is stood up and the cover is opened, and FIG. 7B shows a state where the book is stood and the cover is closed. (C) shows a state in which the book is laid and the text portion and the front cover above the first paper piece 20 are opened.
In the book 10 according to the second embodiment, the location of the first paper piece 20 is different from that of the first embodiment.
That is, in the second embodiment, the first piece of paper 20 is disposed on a piece of paper located in the middle of the body 12 in the thickness direction, with its base end 2002 attached to the back S side. A cut line 24 is formed on the first paper piece 20.
Similar to the above-described embodiment, the second paper piece 22 has its base end 2202 attached to the back S side of the paper piece located immediately above the back cover 1404, and is disposed on the second paper piece 22. A cut line 26 is formed.
In the book 10 according to the second embodiment, when the book 10 is purchased and read, similarly to the book 10 according to the first embodiment, the first and second paper pieces 20 and 22 are respectively cut along the cut lines 24. , 26, and the text 12 is opened for reading.
[0019]
According to the book 10 according to the second embodiment, when the book 10 is viewed from the heavens or the ground, the edges of each piece of the text 12 can be seen as in the past, but when the book 10 is viewed from the fore edge K side. Although the edges of some of the paper pieces of the text 12 are visible, the edges of the remaining paper pieces are not visible, and the intermediate portion 20B of the first paper piece 20 is visible.
Therefore, a single body that cannot be opened by being wrapped with the first and second paper pieces 20 and 22 is located in a part of the body 12 between the front cover 1402 and the back cover 1404. It can give a completely different impression, taste and fun.
Therefore, particularly when the books 10 are piled up in a store at the storefront, it is extremely advantageous to attract the attention of consumers and increase the sales volume.
In this case, as in the first embodiment, the advertisement or advertisement of the content of the text 10 is printed in advance on at least the intermediate portion 20B that can be seen when the book 10 is closed, or on the intermediate portion 20B. By attaching a color different from the paper piece of the main body 12, attaching a color different from the cover 14, or attaching a pattern or letters, it is possible to draw more attention from consumers and further increase the sales volume It is advantageous in increasing.
[0020]
Further, in the book 10 according to the second embodiment, a part of the text 12 located on the back cover 1404 side is sandwiched between the first paper piece 20 and the second paper piece 22, and the first paper piece 20 or the second paper piece 20 is inserted. Although the text 12 cannot be read unless the paper piece 22 is broken, a part of the text 12 located on the front cover 1402 side is not sandwiched between the first paper piece 20 and the second paper piece 22 and opened. You can read.
Accordingly, the piece of paper to which the first piece of paper 20 is attached is, for example, a portion where the beginning of the content of the body 12 ends, and a body page that the content will become interesting is sandwiched between the first piece of paper 20 and the second piece of paper 22. You can make it impossible to read. In this way, at the storefront, the purchaser can read up to the beginning of the content of the text 12, thereby ventilating the desire to read ahead, and thus further increasing the sales volume. It will be advantageous.
Also in the second embodiment, whether or not the book 10 is for sale or used is easily determined by checking whether the first paper piece 20 or the second paper piece 22 is broken. This is advantageous in terms of book-off measures.
[0021]
Next, a modification of the second embodiment will be described with reference to FIG.
In this modification, the positions of the cut lines 24 and 26 of the first and second paper pieces 20 and 22 are different from those of the above embodiment.
That is, as shown in FIG. 8A, the first paper piece 20 has a base end 2002 attached to the back S side of a piece of paper located in the middle of the thickness direction of the text 12. Although it is the same as the above-described embodiment in that it is disposed, a cut line 24 that can be cut in parallel with the spine S is provided near the fore edge K of the book 10.
In addition, as shown in FIG. 5B, the second paper piece 22 also has the base end 2202 of the second paper piece 22 positioned immediately above the back cover 1404 among the paper pieces constituting the body 12. The cut line 26 that can be cut in parallel with the spine S is positioned near the fore edge K of the book 10 in the same manner as the above embodiment in that it is attached to the spine S side of the piece of paper to be cut. Is provided.
[0022]
Even with such a modification, the same operations and effects as those of the second embodiment can be obtained, and further, the following effects can be obtained with this modification.
As shown in FIG. 8B and FIG. 6B, when the first and second paper pieces 20 and 22 are cut off from the cut lines 24 and 26, respectively, the cut lines 24 and 26 are separated from the edge on the fore edge K side. The remaining paper pieces 2010 and 2210 having the same shape remain.
In particular, since the remaining paper piece 2010 is located in the middle of the text 12 in the thickness direction, the function as a door is further exhibited, and the text 12 sandwiched between the first paper piece 20 and the second paper piece 22 is further exhibited. By describing matters, pictures, patterns, and the like related to the contents of the above, the function as a door is further exhibited, which is advantageous in further increasing the commercial value of the book 10.
In this case as well, it is preferable that the dimension between the spine S and the fore edge K of the remaining paper pieces 2010 and 2210 has a value of about ½ of the dimension between the spine S and the fore edge K in the text 12. If it is 1/2 or more, it is more preferable.
[0023]
In the first embodiment and the second embodiment, the case where the vertical dimension of the first paper piece 20 is a uniform value has been described. For example, in the first embodiment, As shown in FIG. 9A, a vertically long window 2050 is formed in the middle portion 20B of the first paper piece 20 located on the fore edge K, and the middle portion 20B located on the fore edge K is placed on the top side. And two bands 2052 that respectively extend on the ground side. Similarly, in the second embodiment, as shown in FIG. 9B, a vertically long window 2050 is formed in the middle portion 20B of the first paper piece 20 located on the fore edge K, and the fore edge K is formed. The intermediate portion 20B located above may be formed by two bands 2052 extending respectively on the top side and the ground side.
In the first embodiment and the second embodiment, the case where one first paper piece 20 and one second paper piece 22 are provided for each book 10 has been described. As shown in FIG. 10 (A), two or more first paper pieces 20 and two second paper pieces 22 may be provided along the thickness direction of the text 12 for one book 10. In this case, the two intermediate portions 20B are located on the fore edge K.
Further, when two or more first paper pieces 20 and second paper pieces 22 are provided for one book 10, as shown in FIG. 10B, one first paper piece 20 and the second paper piece 22 Another first paper piece 20 ′ and second paper piece 22 ′ may be provided between the text 12 portion sandwiched between the paper pieces 22. In this case, the tip of one first paper piece 20 is pasted on one second paper piece 22 across the fore edge K side, and the first paper piece 20 and the second paper piece 22 A piece of paper is sandwiched, and the tip of the other first piece of paper 20 ′ is stuck to the other second piece of paper 22 ′ across the fore edge K side in the piece of paper of the sandwiched body 12. The paper piece portion of the text 12 is sandwiched between the first paper piece 20 ′ and the second paper piece 22 ′.
[0024]
