Vtuning.5thとVtracking.5thは、第5次高調波インバータ電圧のフィードフォワード指令電圧成分Vfeedforward.5thを形成するものである。

The present invention relates generally to a power conditioning apparatus and method for reducing terminal voltage and power supply current harmonic distortion, and in particular, harmonic compensation for large nonlinear loads and harmonics in the presence of power supply voltage harmonic distortion. The present invention relates to a hybrid parallel active / passive filter system using a blocking inverter and a method for controlling the filter inverter to achieve inverter DC bus control.
Background of the invention
Due to the proliferation of certain power electronics loads such as three-phase diodes and thyristor bridge inverters used in DC power supplies, adjustable speed drives (ASD) and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), power equipment is now at a crossroads. ing. These non-linear loads cause harmonic distortion in the power line that creates transients and frequencies in the power signal, such as caused by injecting harmonic currents into the power device. As such, power installations often encounter problems related to harmonics that substantially include high transformers and line losses. Harmonic currents injected into power devices by these non-linear loads can cause problems associated with harmonics and may require derating of distribution system equipment such as transformers. Harmonic current also results in significant harmonic interaction and resonance problems between harmonic loads or between power system and load. Harmonic currents also reduce system stability and room for safe operation. In order to mitigate the problems associated with harmonics, recommended harmonic standards such as IEEE 519 are being implemented to limit harmonic pollution and prevent the degradation of power characteristics of power grid equipment. IEEE 519 is a commonly connected customer utility point (PCC) specification.
Passive filters consisting of passive capacitors and inductors have traditionally been used by large industrial equipment loads to absorb the generated harmonic distortion. Passive filters can perform harmonic filtering at this load or harmonic source to reduce power line harmonic currents and / or install passive filters at distribution substations to reduce the harmonics of the entire power equipment substation load. Both wave filtering and reactive power compensation can be performed. Installation at a distribution substation has the advantage of a single point installation, but results in higher voltage distortion. Passive filters are advantageous for low cost and high efficiency. However, passive filters have some drawbacks. Passive filters are very susceptible to unwanted series and parallel resonances, respectively, due to the power supply and load. Passive filters are also susceptible to load and line switching transients. Very markedly, passive filters are sensitive to tolerances of L-C components and power system system impedance variations. Since the LC components that make up a passive filter typically have +/− 10% LC component tolerances, passive filters usually perform inaccurate tuning, which serves the purpose of passive filters as harmonic absorption. It will fail. The impedance of the power system also greatly affects the compensation characteristics of the passive filter. It is particularly difficult to design a passive filter with sensitive tuning and high Q factor that absorbs a significant percentage of load harmonic currents for non-linear loads in industrial equipment connected to a stiff normal power supply It is.
A robust normal power supply is characterized by a low power supply inductance, and a passive filter with a lower impedance than the power supply is required to absorb a significant portion of the harmonic current from the load. Therefore, the effectiveness of passive filters is reduced for power systems. A tuned passive filter is also susceptible to overloading due to surrounding harmonic loads and / or power supply voltage distortion. Therefore, passive filters often avoid overloading due to harmonic loads, power supply voltage distortions, and resonance problems that intentionally stop tuning and surround them. It is clear that an effective passive filter design requires extensive system research and technical efforts. These efforts are usually justified only for high voltage transmission systems. For this reason, detailed system research is constantly being conducted, but the engineering cost is only a fraction of the total system cost.
The development of active filters has alleviated the disadvantages of passive filters. The active filter usually uses an inverter connected to the power supply line in series or in parallel to perform a harmonic filtering function. The optimal solution for an active filter is the application and power system interface characteristics, and therefore its design requires a system approach. For example, a parallel active filter usually requires an inverter with a large kVA rating and high bandwidth, so this filter constitutes a cost-effective harmonic filtering solution for non-linear loads greater than 1 MVA due to large rating requirements It is not a thing.
Harmonic filtering may be accomplished using only active filters, such as active filters in combination with passive filters or connected in parallel or in series between a power source and a load. Harmonic filtering solutions that use both active and passive filters are known as hybrid active filter solutions. A hybrid active filter effectively mitigates only the disadvantages of both active and passive filters and offers the possibility of several additional value added features. These characteristics increase their practical viability. The value added characteristics of hybrid active filters include line voltage regulation, reactive power compensation, and harmonic blocking. Either of these functions may be performed using a hybrid active filter in addition to or simultaneously with harmonic compensation.
The increased implementation of harmonic standards such as IEEE 519 by power equipment, especially for large industrial customers, is the reason why cost effective hybrid active filters are required. As a result, feasible and cost-effective hybrid active filter topologies using small rated active filters (less than 5% load power) have been developed in combination with passive filters. Connect the active part of the filter in series or parallel with the load, or connect the passive filter and active filter together in series, and combine the active filter and passive filter connected in parallel with the load in series, The hybrid active filter may be connected so that the passive part of the hybrid filter is connected in parallel with the load. The hybrid active filter improves the compensation characteristics of the passive filter and allows the active filter rating to be reduced. However, hybrid filters typically include an active filter, which is implemented using a high switching frequency PWM inverter to achieve either harmonic compensation or harmonic blocking. Filters using such inverters are limited to medium power nonlinear loads due to the large switching losses associated with harmonic number inverters. Furthermore, it is difficult to construct a high power and high switching frequency inverter. A device that uses such an inverter is expensive.
Active filter inverters used in hybrid active / passive filter systems include a DC bus, and a DC voltage is maintained across the bus. The inverter switching device may be controlled to perform both active filter harmonic blocking / compensation functions and maintain the DC bus voltage. In parallel active filter systems and other hybrid active filter systems, such as hybrid series active filter systems, the inverter is controlled to generate a fundamental frequency voltage and a synchronous phase fundamental frequency current across the active filter inverter, or this active The DC bus voltage is maintained by either generating the fundamental frequency current through the filter inverter and the fundamental frequency voltage output by the synchronous phase active filter inverter. This provides the required active power and compensates for inverter losses. Therefore, in parallel active filters and other hybrid active filter systems, active power flow occurs only at the fundamental frequency.
Control of active filter inverters in hybrid active filter systems is often accomplished using a synchronous phase reference frame (SRF) based controller. The SRF-based control device receives the measured voltage or current as an input in a three-phase ab-c reference frame and converts this three-phase quantity into a two-phase dq reference frame that rotates synchronously. An inverter control signal is first generated from this measurement in a two-phase synchronous phase reference frame, then converted back to a three-phase reference frame and applied to control the inverter.
The conversion from a three-phase reference frame to a synchronously rotating two-phase reference frame is illustrated in FIG. Summary of the Invention
The present invention provides a hybrid parallel active / passive filter system for reducing power line harmonic current for high power nonlinear loads. The hybrid filter system of the present invention preferably implements an active filter using a small rated square wave inverter. Therefore, the present invention can be applied to high power loads in the range of 1 to 50 MW or more. The hybrid filter system of the present invention can reduce harmonics in a high power device that follows harmonic standards such as IEEE519. The hybrid filter system according to the present invention is general and can be used for fundamental 5th and 7th harmonics (for 6 pulse rectifier loads) or fundamental 11th and 13th harmonics (for 12 pulse rectifier loads). Harmonic cutoff is achieved in the presence of power supply voltage harmonic distortion for such a selected main harmonic frequency. The present invention is particularly suitable for harmonic blocking / compensation of non-linear loads connected to a robust feed system. For this harmonic rejection / compensation, it is difficult to design a passive filter with sensitive tuning and high quality factor. In such a case, the active filter used in the present invention tunes the passive filter by balancing the voltage harmonics on the power supply side and actively steering the harmonic current into the passive filter and out of the normal line. The hybrid filter system of the present invention achieves harmonic rejection under power, passive filter or load conditions, including surrounding harmonic load conditions. The filter system of the present invention can be expanded and applied to HVDC to cut off harmonics of line harmonic current on the main AC side.
In the hybrid active / passive filter system according to the present invention, the active filter is connected in series with the passive filter. This active filter is preferably implemented using a square wave inverter. The passive filter is implemented using inductor and capacitor components that are approximately tuned to the selected main harmonic frequency (such as the fifth and seventh harmonics). The series connected active and passive filters are connected in parallel with the non-linear load. Another series combination of active / passive filters may be used for each main harmonic frequency that requires harmonic blocking / compensation. Preferably, the passive filter capacitances of the two parallel-connected hybrid filter branches are approximately equally distributed between the passive filters, and the basic reactive filter current is equally distributed between the two filter branches. It is desirable to minimize the circulating current between active filter ratings. Alternatively, harmonic blocking / compensation at multiple harmonic frequencies can be achieved using a separate active filter or a single active filter inverter connected in series with a power factor correcting capacitor passive filter. Such an alternative topology implements an active filter using a PWM inverter that is controlled to simultaneously block / compensate harmonics at a number of selected main harmonic frequencies.
In accordance with the present invention, this active filter inverter preferably provides harmonic cutoff for the selected harmonic load current (such as the fifth and seventh orders) in the presence of power supply voltage harmonics. It is desirable to control using an achieved Synchronous Phase Reference Frame (SRF) based controller. This SRF-based control device generates the inverter voltage by controlling the active filter inverter so that the filter terminal voltage or the load voltage follows the power supply voltage harmonic, thereby zeroing the power supply current harmonic at the main harmonic frequency. The purpose of harmonic blocking is achieved. The purpose of harmonic blocking is thereby achieved under any power source, passive filter or load conditions. In the absence of supply voltage harmonics, the SRF-based controller of the present invention controls the active filter inverter to effectively tune the passive filter of the hybrid filter system and is required at the selected main harmonic frequency. Perform harmonic compensation. This tuning is also achieved by the SRF-based controller adjusting the main harmonic frequency power supply current to zero. This is in contrast to a hybrid parallel active / passive filter system using a previously known square wave inverter that achieves the same result of tuning the passive filter by adjusting the main harmonic load voltage to zero. The
The SRF-based control device of the present invention generates a harmonic inverter voltage command signal using the measured source current, and this command signal controls the active filter inverter to generate an inverter voltage that follows the power supply voltage harmonic. Thereby adjusting the mains current harmonics to zero. In order to improve the dynamic performance of the hybrid filter system of the present invention, a feedforward command signal may be effectively used in an SRF-based control device in addition to a feedback command signal.
In accordance with the present invention, it is desirable to control the active filter square wave inverter to achieve power balance of the inverter DC bus. Power balance is achieved by exchanging energy at the fundamental frequency and the selected main harmonic frequency (such as the fifth harmonic for the fifth harmonic active filter). Unlike previously known parallel active filter systems and other hybrid active filter systems that generate active power flow only at the fundamental frequency, the hybrid parallel active filter system according to the present invention allows current interaction at the main harmonic frequency. There is an active power flow due to (product) and the voltage at the main harmonic frequency generated by the active filter inverter. In the present invention, the harmonic voltage is generated by the active filter inverter, and the harmonic cutoff between the power source and the load is achieved. This causes an active power flow at the selected main harmonic frequency into the inverter, and the inverter DC bus capacitor charges / discharges. This active power flow into the inverter cannot be actively controlled due to the product of harmonic voltage and current at the filter and therefore requires balancing with power at the same other frequencies. According to the present invention, this function of balancing the DC bus is accomplished at the fundamental frequency. The active filter inverter is controlled to generate the fundamental frequency current in the filter and the synchronous phase fundamental frequency voltage to achieve active power balance to compensate for inverter losses. Since the fundamental voltage does not depend on the harmonic frequency voltage generated by the active filter inverter, the harmonic cut-off function of this system is not affected by the addition of the fundamental voltage in the inverter output. This DC bus control method eliminates the need for an energy storage device or additional power source to power the active filter inverter in the hybrid parallel active / passive filter system.
It is desirable to suitably control the active filter inverter to achieve DC bus power balance by generating a DC bus control inverter voltage command signal using an SRF-based controller. This DC bus control inverter voltage command signal is combined with the harmonic inverter voltage command signal to control the active filter inverter and execute the harmonic block and DC bus control functions simultaneously. This inverter is directly controlled by the generated harmonics (at the selected main harmonic frequency) and the DC bus control inverter voltage command (at the fundamental frequency), so low bandwidth (including square wave inverters) Thus, high performance inverters can be used. This increases the practical feasibility and cost effectiveness of the hybrid parallel active / passive filter system according to the present invention, especially when applied to high power.
Detailed simulations of the hybrid parallel active / passive filter system according to the present invention illustrate its effectiveness over a wide range of practically encountered power device conditions, including passive filters that are incorrectly tuned to line voltage harmonics. The use of a square wave active filter inverter allows operation to be extended to high power devices. An active filter rating of approximately 1.5% of the load kVA enables the implementation of an

Other conventional low pass filter designs may be utilized, such as a sixth order switched capacitor low pass filter with an appropriate cutoff frequency (eg, 10 Hz). The ability to extract main harmonic components from current and voltage signals measured using a low-pass filter without introducing phase lag is a significant advantage of SRF-based controllers. Most other controllers introduce significant phase shifts at both harmonics and fundamental frequencies.

As previously described, the SRF-based controller topology similar to that illustrated in FIG. 8 is used to control the active filter inverter 56 (see FIG. 3) and other main harmonics such as the seventh harmonic. Harmonic cutoff and compensation may be performed at wave frequencies. In such a control device, the synchronous phase reference frame rotates at another main harmonic frequency. For example, at the seventh harmonic frequency, the synchronous phase reference frame rotates at 7 times the fundamental frequency. Therefore, sinΘ7And cosΘ7SRF conversion is accomplished by performing synchronous phase frame conversion from values to three-phase to two-phase and from two-phase to three-phase. When designing a hybrid parallel active / passive filter system that includes a separate hybrid active filter branch for performing one or more main harmonic frequency filtering, it is important to ensure that circulating current does not overload the passive filter It is to be. Control of a square wave active filter inverter to achieve harmonic blocking according to the present invention requires that the inverter DC bus voltage that is the basis for inverter voltage signal synthesis be maintained. A constant DC bus voltage must be maintained for the PWM inverter. For square wave inverters, the DC bus must be controlled to output the required inverter output voltage. This may be accomplished in the conventional manner of supplying a DC bus voltage using an input rectifier voltage power source. However, in the preferred embodiment of the hybrid parallel active / passive filter system according to the present invention, a DC bus control scheme is used to achieve DC bus power balance. According to the present invention, the power balance of the DC bus is achieved by exchanging energy at the fundamental frequency and at the filtered main harmonic frequency (such as the fifth harmonic for the fifth harmonic active filter 54). Achieved. This DC bus control scheme is different from previously known DC bus control schemes used in parallel active filters and other hybrid active filter systems such as hybrid series active filter systems. In a conventional system, either a basic current in phase with the basic voltage across the active filter inverter is generated, or a basic voltage output by the active filter inverter in phase with the basic current flowing in the active filter inverter is generated. The DC bus voltage was maintained, and the necessary active power was supplied to compensate for the inverter loss. Therefore, in these previously known system topologies, the active power flow occurs only at the fundamental frequency. However, in the hybrid parallel active / passive filter system according to the present invention, it is desirable that an active power flow is generated due to the interaction (product) of the main harmonic frequency current and the harmonic frequency voltage signal generated by the active filter.
Next, DC bus control for achieving power balance of the DC bus will be described with reference to an
