【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、電子辞典など、任意の見出し語についての説明情報を表示するための情報表示装置および情報表示処理プログラムに関する。

【従来の技術】
従来から、意味内容を知りたい見出し語を入力して検索実行を指示すると、この見出し語に対応付けられて予め記憶された当該見出し語の説明内容が読み出されて表示される電子辞典が実用されている。

このような電子辞典において、所望の見出し語を入力すると、当該見出し語と一致する見出し語と共に類似の見出し語が一覧表示され、この一覧表示された複数の見出し語の中から所望の見出し語を選択すると、選択された見出し語に対応する説明内容の表示画面に切り替わり、所望の見出し語に適切に対応した説明内容を知ることのできる電子辞典も実用されている。

また、見出し語が一覧表示エリアとプレビュー表示エリアを有し、入力された文字に対応する見出し語の候補リストの表示と、前記候補リストの中でカーソルで指定された見出し語に対応する情報のプレビュー表示とを同時に行う電子辞書も提案されている。（例えば、特許文献１参照。）

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、前記従来の電子辞典では、選択した見出し語についての説明内容は、先頭からべたで表示されるので、当該説明内容の中味を順番に読んで行かないとユーザが求める適切な説明内容を探すのが困難な問題がある。また、候補リストの中でカーソルで指定された見出し語に対応する情報のプレビュー表示とを同時に行う電子辞書においても、同様に、当該説明内容の中味を順番に読んで行かないと適切な説明内容を探すのが困難である。

また、一覧表示された見出し語を選択すると、その選択された見出し語についての複数の説明内容を表示するものもあるが、一覧表示中で異なる見出し語を選択する毎にその説明内容が切り返されて表示されるものであるため、表示された説明内容が適切でない場合、画面を戻して再度見出しを選択し直す必要があるため、検索操作に手間が掛かり面倒な問題がある。

本発明は、前記のような問題に鑑みてなされたもので、所望の見出し語に対応する適切な説明内容を容易且つ簡単に検索することが可能になる情報表示装置および情報表示処理プログラムを提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
すなわち、本発明の請求項１に係る情報表示装置では、見出し語毎に該見出し語についての説明情報を記憶する情報記憶手段を有し、この情報記憶手段により記憶された見出し語が見出し語検索手段により検索され、この検索された複数の見出し語が第１の表示エリアに配列されて一覧表示されると共に、該見出し語毎の説明情報の一部が当該各見出し語に対応付けて第１の表示エリアと隣接する第２の表示エリアにその先頭から収まる所定の文字数分、見出し語一覧表示制御手段により一覧表示される。そして、この一覧表示された見出し語のうち何れかの見出し語が見出し語指定手段により第１の表示エリア上で指定され、この指定された見出し語についての複数の個別説明情報が、指定見出し語説明情報表示制御手段により前記第２の表示エリアに一覧表示された見出し語毎の説明情報に重なる範囲を書き換えてその先頭から該第２の表示エリアに収まる所定の文字数分一覧表示されると共に、当該指定の見出し語に対応付けた枠で囲んで表示される。

これによれば、検索された複数の見出し語と各見出し語に対応する説明情報との関わりを分かり易く表示できるだけでなく、指定の見出し語とその説明情報も見易く表示でき、しかも各説明情報がその先頭の一部のみの表示であっても、第２のエリアに均等に収まる見易い所定文字数分での一覧表示ができることになる。

また、本発明の請求項２に係る情報表示装置では、前記請求項１に係る情報表示装置にあって、さらに、見出し語指定手段により指定された見出し語を他の見出し語に変更して指定する見出し語指定変更手段が備えられ、この見出し語指定手段により指定された見出し語または見出し語指定変更手段により変更して指定された見出し語についての複数の個別説明情報が、当該指定の見出し語に対応付けた表示形態にして、一覧表示されている見出し語毎の説明情報に重なる範囲を書き換えて一覧表示される。

また、本発明の請求項４に係る情報表示装置では、前記請求項１乃至請求項３の何れか１項に係る情報表示装置にあって、さらに、検索文字を入力する検索文字入力手段が備えられ、この入力された検索文字が１つの単語からなる場合には該単語について、複数の単語からなる場合には該複数の単語のうちの所定の単語について、その単語と一致およびその単語を含む見出し語が情報記憶手段により記憶された見出し語から検索される。そして、一覧表示された見出し語のうちで、各見出し語それぞれの説明情報について前記入力された複数の単語からなる検索文字が含まれるか判断され、これにより複数の単語からなる検索文字が含まれる説明情報が有ると判断された場合は、当該説明情報に対応する見出し語が他の見出し語と表示形態を異ならせて表示される。

また、本発明の請求項１０に係る情報表示処理プログラムでは、当該プログラムを情報表示装置にインストールすることで、この情報表示装置のコンピュータにおいて、見出し語毎に該見出し語についての説明情報を記憶する情報記憶手段により記憶された見出し語が見出し語検索手段により検索され、この検索された複数の見出し語が第１の表示エリアに配列されて一覧表示されると共に、該見出し語毎の説明情報の一部が当該各見出し語に対応付けて第１の表示エリアと隣接する第２の表示エリアにその先頭から収まる所定の文字数分、見出し語一覧表示制御手段により一覧表示される。そして、この一覧表示された見出し語のうち何れかの見出し語が見出し語指定手段により第１の表示エリア上で指定され、この指定された見出し語についての複数の個別説明情報が、指定見出し語説明情報表示制御手段により前記第２の表示エリアに一覧表示された見出し語毎の説明情報に重なる範囲を書き換えてその先頭から該第２の表示エリアに収まる所定の文字数分一覧表示されると共に、当該指定の見出し語に対応付けた枠で囲んで表示される。

以下、図面を参照して本発明の実施の形態について説明する。

図１は、本発明の情報表示装置の実施形態に係る通信機能付き電子辞典（通信電子辞典）１０の電子回路の構成を示すブロック図である。

通信電子辞典１０は、各種の記録媒体に記録されたプログラム、又は、伝送されたプログラムを読み込んで、その読み込んだプログラムによって動作が制御されるコンピュータによって構成され、その電子回路には、ＣＰＵ(central processing unit)１１が備えられる。

ＣＰＵ１１は、メモリ１２内に予め記憶された電子辞典制御プログラム、あるいはＲＯＭカードなどの外部記録媒体１３から記憶装置１４に読み込まれた電子辞典制御プログラム、あるいはインターネットＮ上のＷｅｂサーバ２０（この場合はプログラムサーバ）から通信部１５を介して前記メモリ１２に読み込まれた電子辞典制御プログラムに応じて、回路各部の動作を制御するもので、前記メモリ１２に記憶された電子辞典制御プログラムは、キーやタッチパネルからなる入力部１７からのユーザ操作に応じた入力信号、あるいは通信部１５を介して接続されるインターネットＮ上の各Ｗｅｂサーバ２０…との通信信号に応じて起動される。

この説明情報テーブル１２ｃには、辞書内容データメモリ１２ｄに記憶された各種辞書における見出し語毎の複数の説明項目（説明情報）の先頭データ（所定文字数）が、該当見出しＮｏ、説明Ｎｏ、記憶アドレスに対応付けられて記憶される。なお、この各説明項目に対応する説明内容の所定文字数分の先頭データは、その説明内容の意味が分かる範囲の文字数あるいは表示部１８に対する一覧表示（図８（Ｂ）参照：検索見出し語一覧画面Ｇ２）において画面内に収まる範囲の文字数に設定される。

辞書内容データメモリ１２ｄには、前記電子辞典制御プログラム１２ａに従った辞典検索の対象データベースとなる広辞苑，技術用語辞典，カタカナ辞典，百科辞典，英和辞典，和英辞典，国語辞典など、各種の辞典の内容が収録される。

そして、前記ステップＡ５において「Ｎｏ」、つまり、指定中の説明項目の内容データにおける「〜」データを指定の見出し単語「kind」に置き換えた場合の複数単語からなる文字列が、前記検索対象文字列「kind to」と一致せず、また含む文字列でもないと判断された場合、またはステップＡ６において検索文字列の該当有りを示すマーク（フラグ）がセットされると、前記指定の見出し語「kind」に対応した説明内容の中で次の説明項目が有るか否か判断される（ステップＡ７）。

そして、次の説明項目有りと判断された場合には、当該次の説明項目が指定されて（ステップＡ７→Ａ８）、前記ステップＡ３からの処理に戻り、この次の説明項目の内容データについても、「〜」データと指定の見出し単語「kind」との置換による検索対象文字列「kind to」との一致／不一致判断がなされる（ステップＡ３〜Ａ５）。

こうして、検索対象文字列「kind to」の先頭見出し語検索により検索されて検索見出し語一覧メモリ１２ｆに記憶された最初の見出し単語「kind1」について、各説明項目中の「〜」データを当該見出し単語「kind」と置換した場合の検索対象文字列「kind to」との一致／不一致判断処理、そして一致した場合の見出し語Ｎｏと説明項目Ｎｏに対応付けた該当マークのセット処理がなされると、前記検索見出し語一覧メモリ１２ｆに記憶された次の見出し単語「kind2」が指定される（ステップＡ９→Ａ１０）。

すると、この検索対象文字列「kind to」の先頭見出し語検索により検索された次の見出し単語「kind2」についても、各説明項目中の「〜」データを当該見出し単語「kind」と置換した場合の検索対象文字列「kind to」との一致／不一致判断処理、そして一致した場合の見出し語Ｎｏと説明項目Ｎｏに対応付けた該当マークのセット処理がなされる（ステップＡ３〜Ａ８）。

このようにして、検索対象文字列に複数の単語が含まれている場合の成句用法検索処理が、検索された各見出し語の全てについて終了すると、図８（Ｂ）に示すように、当該検索された各見出し語「kind1」３１ａ，「kind2」３１ｂ，「kind・a,-・er」３１ｃ，…が、表示部１８に表示された検索見出し語一覧画面Ｇ２上の左エリアに書き込まれて配列され一覧表示される（ステップＳＡ→Ｓ４）。

一方、前記ステップＳ２において、入力検索語メモリ１２ｅに記憶された入力検索語が複数の単語を含まないと判断された場合には、その１つの単語文字について辞書内容データメモリ１２ｄに記憶された英和辞典の辞書データから見出し語検索が行われて、該検索語と一致および該検索語を含む複数の見出し語３１ａ，３１ｂ，…が検索されると共に、検索見出し語一覧メモリ１２ｆに記憶され（ステップＳ３ｂ）、例えば図８（Ｂ）で示したように、表示部１８に表示された検索見出し語一覧画面Ｇ２上の左エリアに書き込まれ一覧表示される（ステップＳ４）。
