本発明は、商品を販売する以外に、端末の機能を付加して各種情報の収集および提供を可能にした自動販売機に関する。

【従来の技術】
従来の自動販売機は、内部に収納している商品を販売する以外に、販売商品メーカーの宣伝のための表示を本体外面に施したり、自動販売機の設置されている環境に合わせた模様を本体外面に施したりすることが可能であり、また、自動販売機にゲーム感覚を持たせて、商品の販売時に抽選を実行して当たれば購入者にもう１個の商品を無料でサービスするという機能が付加されることもあった。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
本発明では、これら従来の自動販売機に、さらに端末の機能を付加して多面的な各種情報の収集および提供を可能にしたものである。すなわち、自動販売機を商品購入のためだけではなく、一メディアとして位置付けることにより、屋外や通路等に設置されている自動販売機を介して利用客が最新の各種情報を得ることを可能にしたものである。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、図に沿って本発明の実施形態を説明する。図１は本発明を飲料販売用の自動販売機に適用した場合の第１の実施形態を示す外観図であり、図２はその機能を模式的に示したブロック図である。図１において、１１は自動販売機本体１の前面上部に設けられた表示部であり、その下方に商品見本８が配設され、さらに下方に商品取り出し口９が配設されている。また、図示しないが、本体１内には、データの入力部１２と、入力されたデータを格納する記憶装置等からなるデータの蓄積部１３と、蓄積部１３に蓄積されているデータを表示部１１へ出力するためのデータの出力部１４が設けられている。

（４）カメラを設置して、カメラの撮像した画像から利用客の特徴を認識することにより、利用客の年齢、性別等が判別でき、客に応じた情報を利用客に提供することができる。
