本発明は、携帯電話機などの通話機能を有する携帯通信端末のためのハンズフリー通話装置に関する。

携帯電話機の急激な普及に伴い、自動車の運転操作をしながら片手運転で携帯電話機を使用して事故を起こす例が急増し、その防止のために、車内で使用する携帯電話用ハンズフリー通話装置が提供されている。

例えば、特開平10−243072号公報に記載のものでは、携帯電話機を収容するカップ状の筐体(装置本体)内に、マイクロホン及びスピーカの他に、携帯電話機と電気接続するハーネス、携帯電話機をポップアップする圧縮コイルバネ、リミットスイッチを設置し、携帯電話機が圧縮コイルバネでポップアップされたことをリミットスイッチで検出して、このときのみ電池電源をオンとすることにより、筐体内のマイクロホンとスピーカにてハンズフリーの通話ができるようになっている。

また、特開平11−17793号公報に記載のものでは、スピーカを内蔵した装置本体にマイクロホンジャック及び電話機用ジャックを備え、マイクロホンジャックに外部マイクロホンを接続するとともに、電話機用ジャックにケーブルを介して携帯電話機を接続し、装置本体内のスピーカと外側に接続した外部マイクロホンにてハンズフリーの通話ができるようになっている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、このように電気的に接続して使用する方法では、携帯電話機とハンズフリー通話装置との接続を使用毎、例えば自動車の乗り降りをするたびに行う必要がある。そのため、使用者は、ハンズフリー通話装置が存在していても、接続の煩わしさから実際に使用しない場合が少なくない。このため、従来のハンズフリー通話装置は、実用上、有効に活用されているとは言い難い。

一方、他の従来技術として、マイクロホンの感度とスピーカ音量を上げる回路を携帯電話機内部に組み込むことで、ハンズフリー通話を可能としたものもある。この従来技術は、携帯電話機に割り当てられたスイッチで切り替えることで、ハンズフリー機能をオン・オフするので、接続の煩わしさがないことでは、一応の効果を奏している。

しかし、実使用において、携帯電話機自体のマイクロホンでは、使用者の離れたところからの音声が入力されにくいという問題がある。この問題を解決するために、音声信号の入出力レベルを上げると、ハウリング現象が発生してしまうという新たな問題が生じ、ハンズフリー通話ができない場合もある。

本発明の目的は、ハンズフリー通話装置と携帯電話機とを接続する煩わしさがなく、かつ安定した通話を可能にしたハンズフリー通話装置を提供することにある。

本発明の他の目的は、多様となっている携帯電話機の本体形状や入出力端子の形状やピン配置等に限定されることなく、共通して簡便に使用できるハンズフリー通話装置を提供することにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明のハンズフリー通話装置は、その基本構成として、図1にブロック図にして示すように、携帯通信端末1を着脱自在に支持する端末支持台部25A・25Bを有するとともに、音声信号増幅回路を内蔵した装置本体10と、この装置本体10に内蔵され、携帯通信端末1が端末支持台部25A・25Bに支持されたときにその送話口8と対向する内部スピーカ20と、同じく装置本体10に内蔵され、携帯通信端末1が端末支持台部25A・25Bに支持されたときにその受話口7と対向する内部マイクロホン21と、装置本体1の外部に設けられ、音声信号増幅回路12を介して内部スピーカ20に接続される外部マイクロホン15と、同じく装置本体10の外部に設けられ、音声信号増幅回路12を介して内部マイクロホン21に接続される外部スピーカ14とを備えている。

このような基本構成を前提として、本願発明は、装置本体が2つの本体に分割されて、これら2つの本体が間隔調整可能に連結され、これら本体に内部スピーカと内部マイクロホンとが分けて内蔵されているとともに、内部スピーカと内部マイクロホンの通音口をそれぞれ開閉自在に覆い、開いたときに端末支持台部となる開閉台板が、分割された2つの本体にそれぞれ装着されていることを特徴とする。

図2は、従来提供されている折り畳み型携帯電話機の一例を示す。この携帯電話機1は、表裏のカバーで構成され、表カバーにキーボード2を配置した下部本体3と、同じく表裏のカバーで構成され、表カバーに液晶表示部4を設けた上部本体5とが、蝶番6にて連結され、上部本体5の表カバーには受話口7、下部本体3の表カバーには送話口8が形成されている。折り畳み型携帯電話機の中でも、受話口7と送話口8の距離は電話機により異なり、また折り畳みでない本体一体型の携帯電話機の中でも、受話口と送話口の距離は電話機により異なるが、図3に示す本発明の第1実施例のハンズフリー装置は、折り畳み型と本体一体型のいずれであっても、また受話口と送話口の距離が異なっていても、適応できるようになっている。

これら摺動台23A・23Bには、それぞれ開閉台板25A・25Bが蝶番26にて開閉自在に蝶着されている。開閉台板25Aは、起立させて衝立19Aの前面に添えると内部スピーカ20の通音口を閉じ、また開閉台板25Bは、起立させて衝立19Bの前面に添えると内部マイクロホン21の通音口を閉じる。一方、これら開閉台板25A・25Bを開いて傾斜状態又は水平状態に保持すると、これらを端末支持台部として、その上に携帯電話機1を横向きして着脱自在に載置できる。その際、携帯電話機1の送話口8が内部スピーカ20の通音口と対向し、携帯電話機1の受話口7が内部マイクロホン21と対向するように、本体10A・10Bの間隔を調整するとともに、摺動台23A・23Bの前後方向の位置を調整する。

携帯電話機1をこのように開閉台板25A・25B上に載置すると、図1に示すように、携帯電話機1で受信された受話口7からの音声は、内部マイクロホン21にてキャッチされ、音声信号増幅回路12にて増幅されて外部スピーカ14にて再生される。一方、外部マイクロホン15にてキャッチされた音声は、音声信号増幅回路12にて増幅されて内部スピーカ20で再生された後、携帯電話機1の送話口8から携帯電話機1に受信され、更に携帯電話機1から送信されるので、携帯電話機1を従来のように接続しなくとも、ハンズフリーの通話ができる。

以上説明したように本発明によれば、装置本体が2つの本体に分割され、これら2つの本体が間隔調整可能に連結されているとともに、これら本体の一方に前記内部スピーカ、他方に前記内部マイクロホンが分けて内蔵されているので、内部スピーカと内部マイクロホンとの間隔が調整可能であり、しかも内部スピーカと内部マイクロホンの通音口をそれぞれ開閉自在に覆い、開いたときに端末支持台部となる開閉台板が、分割された2つの本体にそれぞれ装着されているので、多様となっている携帯電話機の本体形状や入出力端子の形状やピン配置等に限定されることなく、携帯電話機等の携帯通信端末用のハンズフリー通話装置として、多種多様な携帯通信端末に対して共通して簡便に使用できる。
