Description
【0001】
このため、VGA(640×480画素)相当の画質が限界であった。
【0003】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an imaging apparatus such as a digital video camera or a digital still camera.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In recent years, with the widespread use of digital still cameras, digital video cameras have been added with still image shooting functions in addition to moving image shooting functions, and improvement of the image quality of still images has been desired. However, the number of video output pixels is defined by the DV standard for digital video cameras, and in the NTSC DV standard, it is determined in the horizontal and vertical directions (720 x 480 pixels). In order to share the circuit as much as possible, it is necessary to output still images with this number of pixels. For this reason, the image quality equivalent to VGA (640 × 480 pixels) is the limit.
[0003]
On the other hand, in the video shooting process using a multi-pixel CCD, only some of the pixels are cut out and output, or reduced to the number of pixels specified by the DV standard, and the still image shooting process is performed for all pixels. Can be considered to improve the still image quality to the equivalent of XGA (1024 × 768 pixels) or SXGA (1280 × 960 pixels).
[0004]
FIG. 7 is a configuration diagram of a single-plate imaging device that uses one multi-pixel CCD and cuts out and outputs some pixels from the CCD during moving image shooting (hereinafter, cut-out method). First, the moving image shooting process will be described. In the CCD 1, the signals at the upper and lower ends of the captured signal are cut off by vertical high-speed transfer, and only the signal of the vertical 480 pixels at the center is output. The output signal of the CCD 1 passes through the analog
[0005]
With the same configuration, it is also possible to perform processing in which all pixels are always output from the CCD 1 and are output after being subjected to reduction zoom in the horizontal and vertical directions during moving images (hereinafter referred to as reduction method).
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the conventional imaging apparatus having the above-described configuration, if the moving image shooting process and the still image shooting process are performed simultaneously, the moving image shooting process requires signal processing with a small number of pixels and a high frame rate. However, since signal processing with a large number of pixels and a low frame rate is required, there is a problem that the circuit cannot be shared so much that the circuit becomes complicated and costs increase.
[0007]
The present invention solves the above-mentioned problems, and can share most of the circuits for moving image shooting processing and high-definition still image shooting processing, enabling simultaneous execution of moving image shooting processing and high-definition still image shooting processing. An object of the present invention is to provide an imaging apparatus capable of simultaneously capturing high-definition still images during shooting.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve this problem, the image pickup apparatus according to claim 1 of the present application is a three-plate type image pickup apparatus using dedicated image pickup elements for R (red), G (green), and B (blue), respectively. When the pixel arrangement intervals in the horizontal and vertical directions are Ph and Pv, respectively, the G image sensor is set to (Ph / 2 + a) and (Pv / 2 + b) (a and b are constants, and are imaging devices that perform oblique pixel shifting arrangements that are shifted by a <Ph / 2, b <Pv / 2), and output from the R, G, and B imaging elements. The G image pickup is spatially located at the lower left nearest neighbor or the lower right nearest neighbor with respect to the pixel signals of the R and B image sensors and the pixel signals of the R and B image sensors. A first luminance signal having a horizontal pixel count twice that of the G image sensor. And the G image pickup that is spatially located at the upper left nearest neighbor or the upper right nearest neighbor with respect to the pixel signals of the R and B image sensors and the pixel signals of the R and B image sensors. Luminance signal generation means for generating a second luminance signal having twice the number of pixels in the horizontal direction using the pixel signal of the element and the horizontal direction of the first luminance signal and / or Sampling frequency conversion means for reducing the sampling frequency in the vertical direction to a predetermined ratio and outputting it as a third luminance signal, storing the first and second luminance signals, and setting the first and second luminance signals to 1 And a memory means for alternately outputting line by line, wherein the output signal of the sampling frequency converting means is a moving picture shooting output, and the output of the memory means is a still picture shooting output, The circuit of most of the processing and high-definition still image processing in common, and it is possible to perform both processes simultaneously.
[0009]
In order to solve this problem, the imaging device according to
[0010]
Further, as a moving image output, it is possible to selectively output a progressive moving image or an interlaced moving image.
[0011]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The present invention creates two luminance signals spatially shifted up and down by a half of the CCD vertical pixel interval from signals read out from a plurality of CCDs arranged with diagonal pixel shifting, and is used for still image shooting processing. As described above, two systems of luminance signals are output, and the moving image shooting process has an operation of converting only one system of luminance signals and performing sampling frequency conversion.
[0012]
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
[0013]
(Embodiment 1)
FIG. 1 is a block diagram showing an embodiment according to the imaging apparatus of the first invention of the present application. CCDs 1-1 to 1-3 are progressive (sequential scanning) CCDs for R, G, and B. The output signals of the CCDs 1-1 to 1-3 are subjected to analog processing and conversion into digital signals by the

[0021]
Since the CCDs 1-1 to 1-3 are progressive CCDs, the pixels of the G signal output from the CCD are shifted by 1/2 pixel in the horizontal and vertical directions with respect to the pixels of the R and B signals. At this time, the spatial positions of the Y1 and Y2 signals are as shown in FIG. Further, since the spatial position of the C signal is the same as that of the G signal in FIG. 2, it is not shown for simplification of the drawing.
[0022]
The internal configuration of the matrix circuit 4 is shown in FIG. The inputted R and B signals are inputted to 1H line memory 11 (H: horizontal scanning period), 12 and C matrix circuit 17, respectively. The outputs of the
[0023]
On the other hand, the input G signal is input to the 1H line memory 13, and the output of the 1H line memory 13 is input to the Y1 matrix circuit 15, the C matrix circuit 17, and the 1H line memory 14. The output of the 1H line memory 14 is input to the
[0024]
The output of the matrix circuit 4 is input to the horizontal zoom circuit 5, and a horizontal zoom process for adjusting the angle of view is performed. In the DV standard, it is necessary to output a Y signal of 720 pixels in the horizontal direction and 480 pixels in the vertical direction at a 13.5 MHz rate as a camera output during moving image shooting. However, since the CCD drive frequency is generally different from 13.5 MHz, it is necessary to perform a sampling frequency conversion process described later. Here, in order to set the number of pixels after sampling frequency conversion to 720 horizontal pixels, the ratio of the number of horizontal pixels before conversion and after conversion should be equal to the sampling frequency conversion ratio. As an example, when the Y signal of horizontal 1536 pixels, vertical 480 pixels, and sampling frequency 31.5 MHz is set to a rate of horizontal 720 pixels, vertical 480 pixels, and sampling frequency 13.5 MHz, the frequency ratio is
[0025]
[Expression 4]
[0026]
Therefore, the zoom magnification is [0027]
[Equation 5]
[0028]
It becomes.
[0029]
The output of the horizontal zoom circuit 5 is input to the sampling frequency converter 6 and the memory means 9.
[0030]
The Y and C signals output from the horizontal zoom circuit 5 are converted in the sampling frequency converter 6 in the horizontal sampling frequency. This is shown in FIG. FIG. 4 shows an image of sampling frequency conversion. The figure shows an image when the sampling frequency is converted to 3/7 as an example. Y 1 , Y 2 ,. . . Are Y signal pixels before conversion, Y 1 ', Y 2 ',. . . Indicates Y signal pixels after conversion. First, with respect to the Y 1, obtains the Y 1 'which is subjected to band limitation to the pre-conversion Y signals existing in the same position as Y 1. Next, Y 2 ′ is obtained by band limitation and interpolation at a position of a distance of 1: 2 from Y 3 and Y 4 , respectively. Similarly, Y 3 ′ is obtained by band limitation and interpolation at positions 2: 1 from Y 5 and Y 6 , respectively. If the above is repeated, the sampling frequency in the horizontal direction can be lowered to 3/7.
[0031]
Now, assuming that the number of pixels of the progressive CCDs 1-1 to 1-3 is 768 pixels horizontally, 480 pixels different vertically, and the driving frequency is 31.5 MHz, the output of the matrix circuit 4 is horizontal 1536 pixels, the sampling frequency 63 MHz, and the horizontal zoom circuit 5 Output of 1680 pixels horizontally and a sampling frequency of 63 MHz, and a progressive video output of 720 pixels horizontally and a sampling frequency of 27 MHz is obtained from the sampling frequency converter 6.
[0032]
The memory means 9 stores the output of the horizontal zoom circuit 5. The Y signal output from the memory means 9 is started from the Y2 signal located spatially above, and thereafter the Y1 signal and the Y2 signal are alternately output line by line, thereby generating a Y signal for 960 vertical pixels. Output. The C signal output from the memory means 9 is input to the

[0034]
If configured as described above, most of the video shooting processing and high-definition still image processing can be shared, and both processes can be performed simultaneously, and high-definition still images can be shot simultaneously during video shooting. It becomes.
[0035]
(Embodiment 2)
FIG. 6 is a block diagram showing an embodiment according to the image pickup apparatus of the second invention of the present application. In this embodiment, in the first embodiment, a moving image shooting output is temporarily stored in a memory so that a progressive signal and an interlace signal can be selectively output in a system using a progressive CCD. It is.
[0036]
In FIG. 6, the operation from the CCD 1 to the sampling frequency converter 6 is the same as that in the first embodiment, and thus the description thereof is omitted. The moving image shooting output from the sampling frequency converter 6 is a progressive output and is stored in the
[0037]
In the description of the first and second embodiments, for convenience of explanation, the G CCD pixels are shifted by 1/2 pixel in the horizontal and vertical directions with respect to the R and B CCD pixels. However, in reality, due to the effects of chromatic aberration of the optical system, the spatial position of the physical ½ pixel on the CCD light receiving surface and the spatial position of the optical ½ pixel are not always the same. Absent. Therefore, the horizontal and vertical shift amount of the G CCD pixel with respect to the R and B CCD pixels is not a physical ½ pixel but an optical ½ pixel.
[0038]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, the G CCD is shifted in the horizontal and vertical directions with respect to the R and B CCDs, has a pixel number twice that of RGB in the horizontal direction, and is shifted by 1/2 pixel in the vertical direction. The two Y signals at the same position are created by parallel processing, stored and output in two Y signal memories for still image shooting processing, and only one Y signal is sampled at the time of video shooting. By converting and outputting, it is possible to share most of the video shooting processing and high-definition still image shooting processing, and it is possible to simultaneously perform video shooting processing and high-definition still image shooting processing. High-definition still images can be taken at the same time.
