Description

【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Road signs installed in the aerial part of roads where various vehicles pass are used as an indispensable means for obtaining destination guidance information. However, depending on the time of morning and evening, the sun emits strong light at a low angle. Therefore, in the place where the sun is located behind the road sign when viewed from the driver, the contents marked on the road sign may not be visible at all due to the backlight, but the present invention is visible regardless of the backlight phenomenon. A road sign that can be provided.
[0002]
[Prior art]
A road sign generally has a structure in which an aluminum plate is used as a base material, and a reflective sheet is affixed to the surface of the road sign. The road sign is provided by providing visibility to the driver day and night. ing. Road signs are indispensable to drivers for local confirmation and destination guidance, and are an important information tool especially for unknown routes. However, on a route located behind the same line of sight as the road sign when the sun is tilted greatly in the morning and evening hours, the sign content of the road sign can hardly be seen due to backlighting and it must pass through. It may disappear. This phenomenon is because the intense sunlight is radiated from the same direction that visually recognizes the sign board, the driver feels dazzling and converges the pupil, and the sign board that becomes the shadow feels dark due to a large contrast difference. This is to make the contents unreadable.
[0003]
It is a translucent road sign that can be visually recognized even in such a backlight scene. The translucent road sign has a base material changed from a conventional aluminum plate to a translucent resin plate, and a light-transmitting reflection sheet is attached to the surface so that the light received on the back of the sign plate is transmitted to the surface. Thus, the brightness of the sign board is increased, and as a result, the contrast with the sign board background is reduced so that the sign board can be seen.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, a light-transmitting sign board is applied as a means for reducing the contrast so that light received on the back surface of the sign board is transmitted and road information such as characters and symbols on the light-transmitting reflective sheet on the surface is recognized. On the other hand, the road information can be seen through the back side, causing the driver of the vehicle traveling in the opposite lane to visually recognize the reflected sign, resulting in confusion.
[0005]
Accordingly, the present invention is intended to solve the above-described problems and provide a structure that prevents the road information of the translucent road sign board from being reflected on the back surface.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
By using a resin translucent plate as the base material of the road sign board and sticking a light-transmissive reflective sheet to the base material, the letters and symbols of the road information are brightly marked by the sunlight received from the back side However, because the base material is a translucent resin plate, the road information of the reflective sheet affixed to the front surface is reflected on the back surface, so that a large number of shielding plates with gaps in the back surface of the base material By arranging a panel formed with a front tilt angle, sunlight can be directly incident on the resin translucent plate, but it tries to shield road information due to reflection when viewed from the oncoming vehicle. Is. Further, the panel may be a Venetian blind-like panel in which strip-shaped shielding plates are horizontally provided with gaps at predetermined intervals, or may have a honeycomb-like structure with the shielding plates as a connected aggregate. Good. In this way, the panel composed of the shielding plate is arranged on the back surface of the light-transmitting sign plate with the light-transmitting reflection sheet attached, thereby preventing sunlight from entering the resin light-transmitting plate without interfering with the oncoming vehicle. You can control your gaze.
[0007]
In addition, since the panel has a complicated shape composed of a large number of shielding plates, exposure to outdoor wind and rain may cause dirt and damage, and is undesirably aesthetically pleasing. It is protected by a translucent resin plate that does not occur, and is considered to be integrated by a frame.
[0008]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Next, an embodiment of the present invention will be specifically described with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 is a rear perspective view in which a part of a translucent road sign is cut out, and FIG. 2 is a longitudinal sectional view of FIG. FIG. 3 is a rear perspective view showing another embodiment of the present invention with a part cut away.
First, in FIG. 1, a light-transmitting reflective sheet 2 is attached to a base material of a light-transmitting surface plate 1 to form a sign of road information. A so-called Venetian blind-like panel 3 in which a plurality of thin plates are arranged in parallel at predetermined intervals with a front inclination angle is provided adjacent to each other, and the translucent back plate 4 is provided at a predetermined interval on the back side. Are integrated by the frame 5.
[0009]
As the translucent surface plate 1, a colorless transparent or milky white resin plate such as polycarbonate or acrylic resin is used, and a plate having a thickness of 5 millimeters or more that is not deformed or damaged by wind or rain or vibration is preferably used. The light transmissive reflective sheet 2 is selected as a desired color sheet, cut into the entire surface or a prescribed shape, and affixed to the light transmissive surface plate 1 to provide road information markings such as letters and symbols. A large number of shielding plates 31 are arranged in parallel in a belt shape, the plate width is not smaller than the interval between the upper and lower shielding plates, and the inclination angle is within the range of 5 to 45 degrees with respect to the horizontal plane. It is set accordingly. The mutual vertical interval and plate angle of the shielding plate 31 are such that the back surface of the translucent surface plate 1 is directly irradiated in the time zone when sunlight is inclined, and the road information sign of the translucent surface plate 1 is shielded from the opposite lane. The elevation angle is set so that it cannot be seen by the plate 31. If the plate width is wider or the shielding plate interval is made narrower, the angle may be set small, or the plate width may be set wide and the shielding plate interval is set wide so that the angle is set large. Even if the irradiation angle of sunlight and the angle of the shielding plate 31 do not match and there is a projection of the panel 3 constituting the shielding plate 31 on the translucent surface plate 1, the light reflected by the surface of the shielding plate 31 is reflected. You may irradiate the translucent surface board 1 indirectly. As the material of the shielding plate 31, a translucent resin plate that is translucent or opaque to the milky white is selected from a metal plate so that horizontal stripes projected by sunlight received from the back surface of the translucent surface plate 1 do not appear. Further, since the shadow of the shielding plate 31 appears on the translucent surface plate 1 when the panel 3 is brought into close contact with the translucent surface plate 1, one having at least 20 millimeters or more is preferably used.
[0010]
Further, a translucent back plate 4 is disposed in the vicinity of the surface opposite to the translucent surface plate 1 of the panel 3. The translucent back plate 4 uses a milky white translucent or opaque translucent resin plate, and sunlight passes through the translucent back plate 4 to form scattered light and passes through the gap between the shielding plates 31. Since the back surface of the translucent surface plate 1 is irradiated, the surface of the shielding plate 31 is less likely to be shaded by the horizontal stripes, and the surface can be made more evenly lit. Can be provided. In addition, the translucent back plate 4 prevents exposure of the shielding plate 31 and eliminates contamination and breakage due to exhaust gas and wind and rain of various vehicles. The function is given.
[0011]
FIG. 2 is a longitudinal sectional view of FIG. 1, but the translucent surface plate 1 and the translucent back plate 4 are arranged with a gap through the Venetian blind panel, and the front inclination angle of the shielding plate 31 is set. A light-transmitting reflective sheet 2 is pasted in the direction in which the light-transmitting surface plate 1 is used as a base material to form a road information sign. Translucent back plate 4 The so-called so-called translucent road sign from the back of the direction 7 viewed by the driver of the oncoming vehicle sees the road information sign by being blocked by the shielding plate 31 even if the translucent back plate 4 is watermarked. I can't. Further, the inclination angle of the shielding plate 31 is set to such an angle. On the other hand, although the sunlight 6 received from the translucent back plate 4 changes its irradiation angle with time, light is poured into the translucent surface plate 1 to increase the surface brightness.
[0012]
FIG. 3 shows another embodiment according to the present invention, in which a shielding plate 32 is connected to form a honeycomb-like panel 3, and the resulting cell opening direction is horizontal toward the translucent surface plate 1. It is formed in a range of a downward inclination angle of 5 to 45 degrees with respect to the direction. The size of the cell is set in association with the length of the cell in consideration of the angle at which the road information sign is not reflected from the oncoming lane. That is, if the cross section of the cell is reduced, the shielding effect per unit area is increased, and the thickness of the panel 3 constituting the cell can be reduced. Shading on the surface is less noticeable. On the other hand, when the cell cross section is enlarged, it is necessary to increase the cell angle or lengthen the cell in order to enhance the shielding effect. In any case, even if the incident angle of sunlight does not match the cell angle, the amount of light is not greatly impaired. As a material for forming the honeycomb-like structure, for example, aluminum foil, plastic, paper, or the like may be used.
[0013]
The cell structure having the honeycomb shape of the panel 3 does not necessarily have to be a honeycomb shape. For example, the cell structure may be an aggregate of cylindrical cells or a laminar-shaped laminated body. Don't be.
[0014]
【The invention's effect】
As described above in detail, according to the present invention, when sunlight is tilted in the morning and evening, and the transparent road sign board is viewed from behind, the sunlight transmitted from behind the transparent back board is formed by a large number of shielding plates. Since the back of the translucent surface plate is irradiated without being blocked by the lighted panel, the brightness of the surface on which the road information is displayed is increased, and the driver's eyes reduce the contrast of light with the surrounding area of the sign plate so that the road information is displayed. Easy to see. On the other hand, since the rear surface of the translucent surface plate is provided with a panel in which a large number of shielding plates are laminated at intervals and arranged at a lower inclination angle toward the translucent surface plate. Since the driver of the oncoming vehicle is in a state in which the front road information on the translucent road sign board cannot be visually recognized while making the above-described state where it is easy to receive sunlight, it can travel safely without misunderstanding.
[0015]
Further, since the translucent back plate is integrated with the translucent surface plate with the frame sandwiching the panel, the durability of the panel is deteriorated due to dirt such as wind and rain, dust, and car vibration. In addition, since the direct sunlight of the sun is changed to diffused light on the back plate to irradiate the translucent surface plate, the shadow of the panel-shaped shielding plate is not imprinted. Accordingly, it is possible to provide a translucent road sign that has little brightness unevenness and can be easily visually recognized against backlight.
