Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a finger-worn Braille information input / output device that can also serve as a data input / output device for character broadcasting, a word processor, a personal computer, or various key input type information devices.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, visually handicapped persons acquire information by electronic characters using an electronic braille information transmission device. Each stimulus pin of one character composed of six points is maintained in a convex state upward, and the finger is actively moved by a static presentation method (hereinafter referred to as a static presentation method) that does not return to the original state. As an active tactile method for palpating characters, a braille information transmission device (hereinafter referred to as method 1) composed of a braille presentation mechanism for 30 to 40 characters per line has been put into practical use. When using this Braille information transmission device, the palpator touches one Braille character while moving his / her finger back and forth or left and right, and further touches it one character at a time in the right direction. To read several lines of documents, this operation is repeated line by line.
[0003]
As another means for transmitting Braille information, as described in JP-A-6-43803 “Braille input key”, a tactile stimulation element such as a piezoelectric element is embedded in the 6-point input key of a word processor for the visually impaired, There is a Braille key input device (hereinafter referred to as method 2) that has both a key input function and a Braille presentation function and confirms an input character with a 6-point input key. In this system, input character information by a 6-point input key is confirmed on the same 6-point input key.
[0004]
In the method described in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 6-43803, a tactile stimulation pin is driven by a short pulse signal and a method for statically presenting one character at a time for tactile reading of a document. A method for dynamic presentation that reciprocates up and down has been proposed. In any of these methods, one word or all sentences are continuously presented at a preset presentation speed one after another with the finger placed on the presentation part (passive palpation). ).
[0005]
In addition, an input / output device called “Cyber Globe” or “Cyber Touch” has been put into practical use as an input / output device based on the sense of touch of virtual reality technology (hereinafter referred to as “
[0006]
Furthermore, Fukumoto et al. “Wearable Computer Keyboard FingeRing” is described in IEICE Transactions A Vol. J79-A No.2 pp. 460-470 (February 1996) to obtain input information. In some cases, an acceleration sensor is provided on a ring-shaped ring, and thereby, vibration of a finger when a keyboard is pressed is detected to acquire input information to an information device (hereinafter referred to as method 4).
[0007]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In order for visually handicapped persons to obtain electronic character information such as teletext and CD-ROM “anytime” or “anywhere”, a portable or wearable tactile information transmission device is required. In the system 1, the apparatus becomes large with 30 to 40 characters per line, and there is a problem in portability. The
[0008]
Furthermore, if a visually handicapped person wants to move to the acquisition of other information while performing a database search and palpating some information, some input operation is required to convey the contents as a will display. Generally, the organ that performs the input operation is the same finger as the organ that performs the tactile reading operation. Considering the matching with a finger having both input and output functions, it is necessary for ease of use to provide the braille presenter with an input function (providing the input key with a braille presenting function).
In addition, in order to efficiently perform information retrieval by tactile reading, it is necessary to be able to send and return clauses, and the Braille information transmission device is required to have a function capable of controlling the presentation speed while tactilely reading.
[0009]
In order to solve these problems, there is a method of applying Braille input and Braille information by applying a glove-type input / output device as in the
